I bought the extended replacement warranty. SO now all I have to do is invest 1Ǚ of the value I paid for the printer to send it back Newegg. Don't kno wwhat to consider. Will re-review when I get the replacement. The Samsung ML2851 monochrome I bought at Newegg a few months ago has worked flawlessly for me, so I decided that for this price tag it was worth a risk....I lost this round but was intelligent sufficient to get the warranty.

I've had this printer for 6 months now and for the ๳.00 I paid for it, it has proved to be the finest middle-of-the-road laser printer I've owned. So far it's been 100% trustworthy. No jams. Rapidly black only printing. It was cheap when I purchased on Black Friday (๳) last year. It does duplexing. I can save settings for swift printing for certain projects (i.e. color, 2-sided, draft with a click of a button). Everyday printing and color projects look fantastic. It's not so much that I find the top quality negative or it doesn't appear good on photo paper. It's just in my knowledge the colors (mainly blue shades) do not match on screen. They print a small dark. I've tried messing with the settings that had been noted in early critiques, but found absolutely nothing that definitely worked. If I created it lighter, then the top quality looked worse.I wish it notified you when it runs out of paper with an on-screen pc notification. There have been instances exactly where I didn't notice the printer was out of paper and just inserted the stack of papers back in for duplex and it messed the whole factor up. Bleh The package did not involve a USB cable, so you can't even hook this printer up when you get it. This model also has no network capability so you can't use CAT5 to hook it up. Newegg and Samsung want to understand how to supply the correct cables just before thinking about selling this. What a waste of time.
