It does what it's supposed to. Absolutely nothing I didn't expect. It feels like inexpensive plastic, but it doesn't appear flimsy. I don't believe it'll fall apart or anything. Works well sufficient for my needs.

On/Off switches for every outlet, subtle blue lights telling which outlet is on. The outlets are quite close together, you may lose use of one or additional outlets depending on what you've plugged in. It has an particularly short cord. It's a pro for me, seeing as how it has to be plugged into a ten foot extension anyway(my workstation is less cluttered this way). It may be a con for a person plugging into the back of a desktop though.

it works like it was advertized. my principal concern was no matter whether it was going to be transfering at usb two. speed, which it is performing right now. i utilised HDtune to see the transfer speed of my ipod and external hd, and they had been the exact same in between direct usb and by way of usb hub. fantastic purchase! it was initially working at usb 1.1 speed, and i had to play with it a little bit. i turned all the ports off first and plugged it in. immediately after it was "ready to use" as told by vista, then i turned the ports on 1 at a time. when i turned on my ipod port after the external hd, it went berserk. i had to switch the two and it all worked out. point being, u may have to play about with it to get it proper, even though it may well not make a lot sense. when more ports are becoming applied, the transfer speed decreases. its not the fault of the hub, thats just the way usb hub works.

Plug and play indeed, extremely uncomplicated to hook up with all devices recognized on start off up. Switches in the back permit you to turn off and on connected USB devices. One little orange led for power, 4 small blue LEDs for connected peripherals. Okay okay, I'll say it, "the LEDs look cool". Sleek compact design, all plugs fit snug. Now I can charge my Blackberry, iPod, access the flash drive and play on a joypad all at once. If it had a three+ foot cord it would've saved me purchasing an extension. Outstanding value, fantastic price.
