Comment:
I'm truly loving this mouse, it feels definitely heavy duty and not easily breakable. Right after receiving utilised to the mouse and acquiring it all adjusted its fairly incredible. The software program is extremely user friendly and every thing I've programed works flawlessly. The cord is fairly sturdy too with the braiding around it, it won't kink or tangle quite effortlessly. And all the added parts come in a sleek little tin can/case. =] It does take some adjusting and receiving utilized to. Don't expect a ideal fit appropriate out of the box (although it could be) and don't expect to just slap the pinkie rest on and be very good, its taken me virtually two weeks to definitely get it just how I want it, and I still do some minor tweeks to get it just best. But this isn't genuinely a con, it just shows how customizalbe the mouse is, but it could be a discomfort for some.My only actual con is how far up the precision aim button is. Its alot harder to reach than it looks in the picture. Even with everything at the smallest setting I can just barely hit it with the tip of my thumb. I do have fairly tiny hands, but even for a person that CAN reach it comfortably, if its set so your thumb is correct on the button, its not convenient to use the middle sideways scroll wheel or hit the forward/back buttons. If they would just move the precision button a small closer and Perhaps consist of some additional parts (wouldn't mind one or two much more pinkie grips/palm rests) it would be ideal. Also, I can't believe Mad Crapz had anything to do with this incredible product. I had a hard time getting myself past the fact that they make it, but it was so poor*** searching I HAD to attempt it. =]

Comment:
Customizable, looks nifty sitting next to your keyboard... Like all of the other reviews have pointed out...tracking complications. Sorry folks, there is no way to change the DPI so that the pointer doesn't spazz out when there is even the slightest vibration. Changing your DPI doesn't alter the fact that even the slightest noise caused by your personal computer speakers will invoke the pointer to move on its own accord. I've tested everything from lower DPI settings to the actual software program that came with the mouse that has a built in option to make the sensitivity of the mouse itself much less finicky. Absolutely nothing fixes it. Enormous waste of money and now, a couple of months in, the courser is starting to drift on its own. Thanks a lot Saitek for putting a defective product on the marketplace and robbing individuals of their hard earned funds on your eye candy mouse. Guess it was my bad for ignoring the other reviews...

Comment:
-this mouse is a lot additional than i was first expecting-nicely worth the price i paid for it-the customization makes it feel greater in my hand-all the grips function well and the pinky rest is my favorite-the precision aim mode makes sniping truly uncomplicated and it increased when i hit up about 50% from 45%. I hit 95% of the time-the braided cord makes it so there is less of a opportunity to break the cord -the weights make no distinction for the mouse-it takes some time getting applied to the mouse in my hand, but as soon as i was able to get past that, it just produced gaming a complete lot of fun I nonetheless haven't figured out if the Rapid-Fire works on the mouse, correct now it's just there at the finish of the left click. I haven't actually attempted to put it to use yet, but it need to work like it says. I still can't think this product is related to Mad Catz. I mean there merchandise function, but were lacking structure. This mouse just takes every thing to a complete new level. I will be sticking with this mouse for a long time

Lots of customization. Its a incredibly trick mouse that has a lot of cool attributes. Parts are simply swapped. The pinkie rest is fantastic. Buttons are sensitive, but to me that's a excellent thing. The sniper button is amazing. Its easily changed, but not on the fly. Mode button is a little out of the way, but works fine for me. The portion that holds the weights could have been created a bit better. If you're not cautious, the spring that holds the weights in place can fly off and may end up losing it. A shaft that's threaded all the way down would have been a bit better IMO. If you place a lot of pressure on the pinkie rest, it will rock side to side. I don't so its not a enormous deal to me. Also, if you have a soft mouse-pad, just pushing on the left and correct buttons will cause the pointer to move. I just removed the mouse pad and went straight to desk surface and it instantly became additional stable. Thumb wheel doesn't appear to work on the most simple level but does in far more complex situations. IE: won't scroll browser windows side to side, but will function in game. Appears kinda backwards. I did not get this product from newegg, and I really should have. If you are switching from a Logitech mouse to this 1, make sure the Logitech software program is uninstalled. It conflicts with the Saitek software program and causes the pointer twitch some other users are describing. All in all, a excellent mouse. Glad I purchased it.

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7 5600 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:- Expensive!!- Right mouse button chafes my ring finger with it resting on the pinkie skid.

Pros:- Very adjustable ~ fits my hand perfectly- glides very well- solidly built (doesn't feel cheap)
Comment:
Overall, pretty happy with the buy so far. It's a bit of an expensive mouse to buy, even with pricematching, so I did my research before buying. It fit my hand pretty well out of the box, but with a little tweaking, it's pretty much perfect. I found that with my index finger on the LMB, my middle finger on the RMB, and my ring and pinkie fingers on the pinkie skid (which I very much like), I found that the RMB chafed on my ring finger. With my grip changed so that my index finger is on the LMB, middle finger ont he scroll wheel, ring finger on the RMB, and pinkie on the pinkie skid, it's a non-issue (very comfortable, though I have to use a palm grip this way). On the fly DPI setting changes are nice, since I use different settings for different games and for general web browsing. Haven't used the sniping button yet (Assassin's Creed doesn't really need it...), I'm sure it will be quite useful when I get to playing some games that will make use of it. The side scroll wheel is a bit different, but it works well. I don't use it much, but it is very easy to use.If you hate tweaking and fiddling with something to get it perfect, you probably won't like this mouse. If you're willing to put a few minutes into adjusting things to make it fit your hand, I think you'll like it quite a bit. If you're a lefty, well... you're SOL.On a side note not related to the mouse performance and NOT influencing the star rating, NCIX was a bit slow on the shipping end (the product was NOT listed as back-ordered or low in quantity on the site at the time of purchase). I had selected express shipping, since my previous mouse wasn't working properly. It took NCIX 3 business days just to get it to Purolator, who then did their job to a T, taking two business days to get it to me (precisely within the specified time frame for them). I'm a little disappointed with NCIX for that, since previous experiences with them have been very positive.

Comment:
This mouse feels and looks amazing! The craftsmanship is the greatest i have seen on a mouse, the correct and left click is powerful and dose not ware out. I also split some Monster Energy drink on it and the left click did not get all gummed up, i was amazed. The dule lazer tech. just dose not work great on something!the finest factor i have found is to not install any of the Cyborg drivers and just leave it with windows 7 default drives and tun off the "Enhance pointer precision". On a Rocket fish speed mouse-pad. Other then that it jumps about like crazy. Regardless of the poor tracking, the DPi is wonderful and all the Cool Functions a lot outweighs the cons.

Cons:smallish mouse compared to logitech 510 even at max adjustmentlazer gets gunked up somtimes

Pros:adjustable accurate light weight
Comment:
Switching from a logitech mx510 to this mouse took a bit of adjustment as this mouse is not as large as the logitechNice weight adjustment and easy to use tools Love the switch on the fly and the software is unintrusive unlike the logitech software.everything works on it and when the laser is clean it is very accurate .. however the least speck of dust and suddenly one axis of movement is gone .. kinda inconvient during a dogfight as in where did that mountain come from .. BOOM However after using it for a month or so I am starting to think to switching back to an optical mouse .. it is a great mouse just not big enough.

Pros:Unique, High DPI, very easy to customize.
Comment:
Great mouse overall and would suggest it to anyone who likes to 'fiddle' with their gear. Hard to find the right setting for your hand and i find some buttons difficult to reach comfortably. eye on the bottom of the mouse is easy to gunk up so i would suggest a very strong, solid mouse pad.

Cons:dual laser red scoping button

Pros:adjustablehigh dpi good materials buttons/clicking feels good
Comment:
Upgraded from a G9 that the right click started to go on me. Overall the build/material quality of this mouse is very nice; the buttons feel very satisfying and is sturdy on the table/surface. The dual lasers are a bit of a pain as it can be extremely sensitive... I had a little issue of the mouse tracking anywhere it wanted to with just a little or no input at all... The red scoping button is not available to be changed to something else.. which imo, should be allowed to be customized... as I and many others don't use itThat being said... good deal if you get it on sale

Cons:Doesn't fit my hands perfectly even with adjustmentsPlastics feels really cheap except the main skeleton bodyPinky rest isn't comfy for meFeels like it's gonna break if you put too much downwards pressurePretty heavy even without weights and will cause more fatigue if you're used to light mouse

Pros:Customizableheavy(if you like them)different kinds of grip styles can be accomodatedgreat for FPS specially if you're the twitch type Good if you big handsthe buttons are very sensitive/responsivePinky rest is good?Slides around pretty good
Comment:
It's a really good mouse and all. You can customize and adjust it to whatever your hand shape is. but for some reason I can't find the right adjustment for my hand. My grip style is somewhat a hybrid in between of claw/palm/fingertip, i just automatically adjust depends on what type of game I play. More claw/palm on fps and more claw/fingertip on MMO or LoL. I guess the way I hold my mouse is weird but seriously I couldn't find the right fit for my hands. I find the little red "sniping" button useless because I don't take my time when I scope in, I usually scope and drag and shot right away. It felt like the palm area is gonna fallapart if you put lots of downward pressure on it. The left and right click are very responsive, I misclick them most of the time because it doesn't require that much force to do so. all in all it was a great mouse except that my hand wasn't very comfy even with all the possible adjustments i could make.

I have had this mouse for only 3 hours and I can say that this is definitely the mouse I have been searching for all my life. You can customize everything! You even have the option to put a tray on the right side so your fingers don't touch the mouse pad. This mouse is insane!Would never go back to anything else. The price is justified.

Cons: Ugly silkscreens on black rubberized parts (would prefer no ghetto logos and random stuff, just black). Not as comfortable as I would have liked.

Pros: Attractive design, nice velvet rubberized feel, completely customizable, good heft. Not at all flimsy.
Comment:
Very attractive, solid, nicely built, good heft. Love the pinky skid. That said, I would have preferred a taller mouse, and the ergonomics (the reason I bought this... I'm not a gamer!) while customizable don't make for a long-term comfortable hold. For me. Seems I'm the only one?My next mouse will be a Mionix Naos 5000, which supposedly has sublime comfort. I'll hang on to this just as a beautiful object.

Cons: Switching to a new mouse has a harsh effect on your twitch abilities for a few weeks

Pros: Complete customizability. Hair-trigger.... but it doesn't go off if you don't mean it.
Comment:
It looks a little excessive, but I truly couldn't go back to another gaming mouse after this. Everything is customizable, so I made it as close to the g5 (my previous mouse) shape as possible. The little red thumb button is absolute genius..... it turns down the dpi for as long as you hold it.... Very helpful for sniping with scope.Probably more oriented at twitch gameplay, but there's no reason it wouldn't be great for mmo's, rpg's, etc

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7 5600 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons: Read summary.. only one

Pros: Very Adjustable mouse {RAT} felt great in my hand. added the extra pinky finger add on, movement very clean and precise. the movement worked fine on my steelseries game pad. over all not a bad little RAT
Comment:
the left click button would freeze up sometimes during game play about 20% of the time. walk around a corner ready to fire and "BAM" nothing, the left click button would not work at all. sometimes on desktop press left click on program, it would double click on it instead. one click pressing down and the other on the upward motion of the click. adjusted it and still the same thing would happen, freeze up and double click when pressed only once. Talked to Cyborg Mad Cats support, they could not figure it out.Others have had the same problem the tech guy said. I tried it on other computers and still the same problem. Mabey I just got the 1 bad RAT? my son uses a RAT 7 with no problems on his gaming rig.My Rat 7 had the same problems on his rig, So I decided to go back to my Logitech G9X with no problems at all.. anyone has any advise on have to fix this problem with my RAT 7 let me now I would like to give it another try..

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7 5600 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons: - Second scroll wheel was in awkward position for me- Thought palm rest adjustment was broken (will elaborate)

Pros: - Custom fit- Sturdy construction- Customizable buttons
Comment:
Was quite excited when I got this mouse, and right now I have to say that I highly recommend this. I came from an MX518 and mostly prefer the R.A.T over it.A couple gripes I do have about the mouse is that I personally find the second scroll in a weird position... it's awkward to move my left thumb towards it or use my pointer finger's mid knuckle to use it. This is even more so when you adjust the thumb rest position to be further out.A second problem I had was that my palm rest adjustment system was broken as I could not take it off. I had to apply a lot of force to move it from its initial position (ie. shortest setting), and still have trouble moving it if it goes into that position.Besides these two issues, the second of which is no longer a problem since I don't make my mouse that short, this mouse is awesome and I'd highly recommend it.

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7 5600 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons: - big, heavy

Pros: + adjustable, customizable+ plenty of buttons+ software is pretty straightforward, easy to program macros
Comment:
This is a great mouse. Its main strength is obviously the adjustability. However, I still wish it was smaller- by default, its smallest form is still pretty wide, long, and heavy. Still, I managed to tweak it to be comfortable for my hands and playing style. The thumb and pinky options definitely make this worth the extra money over a RAT5, not to mention the better sensor. The software is easy to use. For all the customizable buttons, you can bind it as a button, a keyboard key, a multi-key stroke, or a macro, and store 3 profiles at a time. Easy to understand without having to read an instruction manual.
