very solidly constructed... from the feel and heft of this factor I cant imagine breaking it without having considerable effort. Swappable battery permits uninterrupted gaming... making will need for a charging cradle or plugging the mouse in irrelevant. Customizable... although the way it came was practically best for me anyway. Software is easy and straight forward... if limited. The mouse moves with a smoothness I've never ever observed in a mouse... that is when I move the mouse the cursor on screen appears to glide perfectly in sync. "AIM" button works as expected and can be customized as to just how considerably it slows the mouse down.I also like how considerably heavier this mouse is (once I installed all the weights). I tend to maintain my sensitivity really high... for "twitch" shots when a hundredth of a second reaction time matters... but like to have accuracy for sniping... the additional weight assists preserve precisions even at quite high DPI.key caveats, see beneath To qualify my statements here I need to point out I have also owned the Logitech G7.The biggest let down is the cost. I also own a Saitek X52 flightstick/throttle and have loved it... and based on what I read about the RAT9 I was expecting something head and shoulders far better than the G7... in fact the G7 is in a lot of ways far better than the RAT9 for ์+ less. The G7 has 8Ǟ buttons programmable... RAT9 only has 5Ǟ.The G7 software program can auto detect what game you are in and switch profiles. The G7 battery lasts longer (and is also swappable)The G7 has a portable USB adapter connected to its cradle (for when you take your mouse with you). The G7 button layout is better (for me at least)To be clear: the RAT9 *does* have positive aspects more than the G7... but at half the price the G7 should *not* have *any* benefits more than the RAT9.If you are now thinking about the G7... read my other thoughts as properly. I went with this rather of replacing my G7 (again) simply because I have had three of them and small mishaps have resulted in breaking the scroll wheel on each single 1. That combined with the way Logitech seems to have abandoned its gaming line of mice (they haven't updated their high-end gaming mice given that 5 years ago, the new setpoint software no longer supports them, and the fact that I can't come across them to obtain them).I waited more than a month for newegg (or everyone else) to have this mouse in stock only to get it and incredibly promptly find myself disappointed. Maybe I'm being unreasonable... but for pretty much double the cost I would anticipate this mouse to have at LEAST every single single key feature of the G7. And the sad thing is that it COULD. The most disappointing concern for me (inability to plan all buttons) are problems with the software program... not the mouse (unless saitek/cyborg did something stupid). Maybe a patch will fix it. For a 贶 mouse I shouldn't be hoping for a patch.

Great in practically every category. Wonderful range. Imperceptible latency. No signal interruptions. Solid construction. Adjustable parts work nicely. Having a thumb (and optional pinkie rest) indicates you can relax your fingers without getting them drag on the surface. Unobtrusive software. Someone posted this difficulty earlier and I was hoping it was an isolated incident - each and every time I swap batteries (which is an awkward maneuver), the mouse loses its connection to the receiver. This can only be fixed by unplugging the receiver's USB cable from your computer and plugging it back in. This makes the method of changing batteries unnecessarily long. It reminds me of the days when you had to reboot your personal computer if your PSǘ keyboard/mouse was disconnected. For a 贶 mouse in 2011, this genuinely shouldn't be happening. I've sent an email to their tech support and asked if they knew about the challenge and if it will/can be fixed. Personally, I hate having to bend over and reach behind my pc to mess with cables, so if their reply doesn't address the challenge I will return the mouse.

What sets this mouse apart from other gaming mouses is this mouses ability to be customized by the user. I found this to be very difficult and frustrating, but worth it as it is only a one time thing. Other than that, I loved the build quality. The mouse is built with high quality materials from top to bottom. The metal is nice and thick and the plastic pieces are sturdy and have a great textile feeling to them.

Comment:
Very solid construction. Incredibly customizable to fit your hand. Fantastic performance. Quickly the best mouse I've ever used. When the battery pack is swapped, the mouse and base station lose communication and I have to temporarily unplug the base unit USB on the back of the PC for it to commence working once again. Also, extending the palm rest causes the battery pack to be tough to grasp/pinch, and the battery takes some force to get rid of. Both of these problems function together to make it highly problematic if you will need a quickly battery swap. My prior wireless mouse allowed fast and seamless rechargeable battery pack swaps. The difference is painfully noticeable during long game/work sessions. This mouse is a joy to use as long as it has power.

Cons:Short battery life

Pros:Feels great in your handAwesome designSecond battery for continuous use
Comment:
Great mouse, the customizable grips are extremely comfortable for any of the various "grip styles". It's visually striking and I have not noticed any input lag due to the wireless connection. My only major gripe is the battery life. This is remedied with the second battery but it does lead to very frequent battery swaps: about once a day depending on use.

Cons:Short Battery lifePriceAlmost no tech or community supportLack of customization on the software side. Not balanced so 1 side always drags on the mouse pad.Sticky ButtonsUseless and badly placed side scroll

Pros:Hardware Customizable MouseHigh DPINice rubber
Comment:
I bought this mouse after my dog ate of Logitech G5. I like to pride myself on having the most expensive toys for my computer. On the good side the mouse can but customized to fit almost any hand. Though the palm rest is way to small and will never be able to be used as intended for any sized hand.On the bad side and it is numerous so bare with me here. The precision aim button is way to far forward no matter how far you move it back. So you will never be able to full utilize it even if you remember its their. The side thumb scroll is in a stupid location and along with the fact that you will almost never need to use it for something. Mine came to be not working though but do to the lack of community and tech support for this mouse I'm not sure if its a common problem. The DPI is about the only truly customizable thing on this mouse. With 4 separate modes and a relatively easy to reach button you can change dpi easy on the fly. The software for this mouse if very sub par. The precision aim button, left click, right click and main scroll wheel can not be modified into other buttons at all. Also there is no way to change the report rate of this mouse. You are stuck at 1000hz. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but you may run into trouble if you play older games. AKA directx 8 and earlier. The mouse allows you to save your custom macros for the few customizable buttons onto 3 separate modes. However once you turn off the computer it will restore to the default config until you go into the software and load the profile yourself every time. Not a big deal just a minor annoyance. This mouse came to me broken and lacking anything that made it stand out. I will be RMA'ing it immediately and not hoping for a replacement. I will be exchanging it for a Logitech mouse as I know they work. This mouse is not worth 160$. If you must own this mouse, why would you want to?, buy the RAT 7. It is the exact same thing but with a cable and without the terrible battery life at a lower price.

Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 9 TWIN- Eye 5600 DPI Laser Gaming Mouse
Cons:Expensive and batteries don't last as long as you might like.

Pros:Love the changable grips and positions for the thumb, palm rest and pinky. Changeable weights are also nice, if you want a different feel.
Comment:
Love the customizability of almost everything on the mouse itself. Bigger hands or smaller hands or whatever you need for your style of grip. Weights are great to add or reduce the amount of weight you normally like for gaming. The head shot button is great for cutting the dpi in half so you can get those kils quickly. My concerns are the huge price for the item and the short time the battery lasts. It does come with a secondary battery which can be hot swapped out and charging while you use the fresh one. The transmitter doubles as a charging unit and the receiver for the mouse itself. You just have to decide for yourself if the cost justifies having one of these bad boys.

once i saw this mouse, i had to get it. although 160 dollars for a mouse is a bit surprising, its functions and ability to customized anything is too awesome to resist. the material feels like its made from cheapy plastics though

Cons: Battery life is brutalThumb buttons are somewhat uncomfortableNon replaceable feetSoftware is terrible

Pros: Looks awesome."headshot" buttonvery smooth
Comment:
Coolest looking mouse ever. Functions very well, and the "headshot" button is awesome for FPS games.Despite the customizable features, I find this mouse terribly uncomfortable for a palm grip. Finger/claw grip is fine. Also, There is no horizontal scroll in the middle wheel. You have to make a macro for the thumbwheel to scroll sideways :(If you want it for the looks, get it. If you want a comfortable mouse, get a Sidewinder X8, RAZER etc.

Cons: Battery meter not visible from taskbar

Pros: Durable, Comfortable (When Dialed In), Quick Change Battery, Non-Existant Input Lg
Comment:
Very useful and comfortable after conforming it to your specific hand size. Ideal for medium to larger hand sizes with variable angle settings for your thumb and palm. Scroll wheel is firm and smooth but does not have a free scroll feature. Mouse is sturdy and solid with some weight to it out of the box. (Can be customized to increase or decrease overall weight)One of the best wireless "Rats" I've come across in my professional opinion.

Cons: Battery life could be better. Won't work on my glass mousepadsadly.

Pros: Completely customizable, works well.
Comment:
I ordered this back in Sept, and it finally arrived in December. It is great to use, but I don't see how anyone could use this at it's fullest settings. (5600dpi) Unless you're using 3xgiant screens worth of desktop. It's that responsive. This mouse suffers no "lift up" problems noted with the earlier RAT models. My one and only complaint is the battery life. With constant use, including gaming I have to switch the battery cartridge about 1xday. Not bad in itself, but my old MX Revolution could last days on a charge with the same use. Minor quibble for such a good mouse.
