It lights up, the keys are quiet and soft, volume controls above numberpad. What else? Nothing. The men and women who say this keyboard is "solid", will need to take a class in what solid means. I purchased this keyboard solely on what individuals say about its construction, and to replace my junk flimsy logitech. It bends in the middle like a credit card. Does any person make a honest solid keyboard these days? Also, this keyboard is actually high off the desk. If you dont like your keys about 2 inches off the desk, dont obtain this. Did i mention this factor is flimsy? I dont care what anybody says, its just that. Im confident a person will comment that im wrong. When my mission is to find a keyboard that isnt affordable, how can i be wrong? Thats all i care about in a keyboard! Sony by far tends to make the very best keyboards. If you can locate a utilised Sony usb keyboard, pass on this 1. Now, back to finding a "solid" keyboard.

Illuminated keys definitley assists in late-night typing.Straightforward to press keys with a decent quantity of resistance.Comfortable plastic wrist pad. Wrist pad isn't made of rubber, or a soft materials. For becoming a gaming keyboard, I need to say that this device functions exceptionally nicely in a high-typing, student atmosphere. I have gone via so several keyboards. Some of which, keys wouldn't produce responses, other individuals, the typing experience was just awful. I as soon as owned a Logitech Cordless Wave that decided to forget keystrokes each so often.Needless to say, this is an fantastic keyboard. Don't consider twice about buying it!

The red LED back lighting is attractive in appearance, wanted this feature to match my red LED Cosmos case. Fashionable appearing design. Major keys seem to be functional. Space bar squeaks, it is noisy to a ridiculous level. Keys need quite a bit of force to actuate. Space bar sticks frequently for just enough for a triple or so crucial press. I anticipate the space bar to break any day now, and it is only two days old. The remainder of the keys function presumably regular but have an very inexpensive feel to them that I am getting a tough time putting into words. This is โ that will be going into the closet for a ฟ Walmart keyboard. I am a firm believer in acquiring what you spend for and was pleased for years with my Razor Lycosa but did not want to shell out an additional hundred $$ for one after mine lasted 3 years. Typical keyboard that works is around ฟ, this is my very first Saitek buy and I am not impressed for โ.00.

This is hands down the greatest keyboard I have ever owned. The layout is great, keys are very quiet, and I adore the adjustable wrist pad. Why only red light? Blue lights would have been a superior fit with my system.

Good keyboard no genuine complaints.I had the Saitek Eclipse v1, which is basically an identical keyboard, with grey keys and blue LEDs, for a number of years before I purchased this to replace the fadded keys The letters kind of look a pink/salmon color by way of the letters, but the glow around the keys is a definite red.Expect the very used letters to put on off more than time, but fantastic create qualtiy and will final for years and years to come.

This Keyboard is incredibly sturdily built. The Crucial lighting is really great and has no correct dim spots. The added wights to maintain from sliding are really good also. Keys have a good firmness to them. None. This is the very first time i have bought a keyboard other than the บ unique at the computer system stores. I would say that this is nicely worth the price.

Comment:
I owned a Saitek Eclipse because I bought it for my very first make back in 2005. It was a great keyboard and survived spills and falls/impacts, but somehow I managed to break the spacebar 1 day even though cleaning it. The Cyborg has verified to be a good replacement; it looks and feels practically precisely like the Eclipse and is considerably much better on the hands. The keys are a lot quieter compared to the Eclipse. The volume and lighting buttons above the numpad are softer and more responsive as well.My single concern with the Eclipse was its poor lighting - the Cyborg's lighting is nice and vivid.Like the Eclipse, the Cyborg has a tough plastic, extendable palmrest which is genuinely the secret to how these keyboards accomplished maximum comfort, IMO. It's basic but makes making use of the keyboard for long periods of time significantly less difficult on the wrists. The Cyborg also has rubber feet at the 4 corners of the keyboard. Obviously, this keeps it from sliding about and it's a noticeable improvement from the Eclipse. Backlighting is just too bright at times. The illumination button only lowers the brightness by about a third. The crucial indicators at the leading are incredibly bright, but you can get used to having NumLock on if you use it often. This can also be deemed a "Pro" if you forget to turn Caps off. Goes either way.The Eclipse had a shiny sort of insulation and translucent plastic housing for the cable that produced it easy to spot when I wanted to disconnect it - this created navigating my mess of non-cable management a non-issue. This cable is just a standard black affair. As Major Dave predicted, an individual would come along to shoot his complaints down. Though I haven't taken any college-level classes on "solidity of consumer keyboards", I ought to dispel some inaccuracies with what little education I have in the matter.I have in front of me my Saitek Cyborg keyboard and an old debit card I had lying around. Even though I can't speak for the technical differences in composition between a credit card and debit card, I'm performing this experiment assuming that they are negligible. With my single dominant hand, I've managed to bend the debit card very effortlessly.Nonetheless, when taking the Cyborg in each hands, I'm acquiring it rather difficult to bend in the middle. The thick, sturdy plastic prevents me from doing such a factor. If I had been to place it in a vice, I may possibly have sufficient strength to snap it in the middle. But I don't know why you'd ever try to bend the keyboard in the middle, let alone spot it in a vice. It's fairly powerful for typing though.

Cons:not worth 69.99nothing besides the red backlights and the silver paint make it a real "gaming keyboard"

Pros:red backlitkeys are nice to type onspread outnot rediculsly loud like the mechanic boards like the razes'
Comment:
it gets teh job done, has all the keys and a few extras for macros, red backlight with three different light settings as well as media control buttons make it handy if you have your volume controller for your speakers far away from your chair. This keyboard when its on sale for under $29.99 is a great deal after that, save up for something else.

Responsive, comfy keys. Not stiff, square keys that make you mess up your typing streak just about every other second .___. The back-lighting is nice, too. Comes with a packaged plastic hand-rest that snaps to the keyboard. It is surprisingly smooth and comfortable for getting plastic. And, don't worry, if you believe this keyboard is flat with out the "flippies" on the back to put the board at an angle, "the flippies" are there. None, actually. It works properly, feels nice, and installs effortless. Not significantly else needed from a keyboard! None

It lights up, so less difficult when all the lights are out.Doesn't make too considerably noise while typing.Easy. I wish there had been far more hot keys. I've had 1 of these once before (blue) and I loved it... Till my boyfriend spilled a glass of water on it. So it isn't water proof. I'm sure I'll like this 1 just the same. I extremely advise it!

Excellent pricing if you get can uncover it on sale, red backlighting looks excellent, feels a lot additional solid when you start making use of it than it appears in the store. Keys feel a tad bit "mushier" than a Logitech keyboard, and way more so than a Razer keyboard. It's advertised as a gaming keyboard, but other than the anti-ghosting capacity, it's fundamentally a typical keyboard that's backlit red. I purchased this keyboard since my G15 died and the shop was out of stock of the new G510. It was on sale and I had a coupon so I ended up obtaining it for ฽. The keyboard itself felt a bit chintzy compared to my girlfriends Razer Lycosa and my old Logitech- nonetheless, when I got it residence and basically started making use of it, it feels fine. For a fundamental gaming keyboard it's fine, but those of you who want a true gaming keyboard, I'd recommend a Logitech, Razer, or even the higher end version of the Cyborg.

Comment:
Bought this keyboard because of the backlight and the anti ghosting cluster for gaming (mostly FPS). The three back-lighting modes are good (bright, dim light & off). The keys are rather comfortable and have a smaller concave curvature to support your fingers center on the keys. The plastic hand rest which attaches to the keyboard is surprisingly comfortable. I enjoyed the capability to pull it out to extend to my hand (maybe it moves 1.5"), which produced it far more comfy to me. The keyboard feels sturdy to me, feels a lot heavy and doesn't move when I'm gaming. The backlight starts when my personal computer begins up. Perhaps I haven't set it up right but to default to off until I turn the laptop or computer on. This is somewhat annoying considering that I truly do not need a red glowing keyboard in full daylight (even if it is only for the 1-two minutes it takes for windows to boot). The keys are a small loud for my taste (if i had to rate it, it would be a ӯ / 10 in terms of 10 being loudest keyboard i have heard and the 1 getting the 1 I couldn't hear). Like other people have said, the cord is not braided...but I have never actually had a problem with the non-braided style anyhow. Price was a little far more here at newegg than elsewhere, but I really like the service and dependability here. There are no real gaming programmable keys...but I don't use them anyway. My con's had been mostly nit picky so I didn't deduct any eggs. I actually really like the keyboard and would recommend it to any individual who wants a solid performer with the limited attributes for a cheap price. If you want all the additional programmable buttons, go elsewhere. I game with the EDSF cluster not the WSAD 1... I haven't noticed any ghosting but- not to say that it won't occur.

Comment:
Overall style gets an A in my book. Genuinely nice to behold, proper outta the box. The resistance of the keys feels pretty superior... Hopefully that lasts.-Massive, anti-skid rubber feet. Makes this KB a small harder to push around when you're key-mashing. Not a re-invention of the wheel, by any indicates, but simply an added bonus for ham-fisted gamers like myself.-Good weight... not that this definitely matters-Keys have a excellent feel to them, and are pretty quiet - except for the spacebar. -Adjustable wrist rest. Opt for your level of comfort? The positive aspects of working with the 3rd setting (fully extended) on a long, intense raid are - should I say - *not* noticeable... extrapolation: Fully extended wrist rest utilization = the heel of your left hand not feeling like it's been beaten with a hammer immediately after 3+hrs of gaming. Rule of thumb: if something is uncomfortable from the beginning, it is probable that it will remain so. Which leads me into my next topic... -Typing is awkward at first... I would not dock an egg, because this is just due to the design of the wrist rest. Because the rest can be removed - if the style is bothersome - it is, thus, avoidable.-volume and backlight buttons are not lit... -Spacebar was a small "sticky" at very first. It would get stuck and unless the bar was pressed once more, would continue to auto-space. A couple of 32nd note rolls on the bar seemed to resolve this issue, for now. If this challenge persists, or occurs to other keys, I would dock a couple eggs and RMA... that's all, so far... genuinely I really like this board. Switched-up from my old G-15, and wanted to stay below 80 on the price. If I had patience, lolz, I would have waited for the Cyborg7 to restock. I'm kinda glad it was out. Only time will tell, but all I can say for now is that it rocks!

Great keyboard, great price. The red glow is a little blotchy in places for me, but I wouldn't not buy it again. This is the cheapest lighted keyboard that I could find that is decent. BTW, it looks amazing in the dark!

Cons: Not a big deal, but I wish that BLUE was one of the backlight color options.

Pros: Backlighting colors can be customized to any of several different colors. The gaming mode, which offers more functionality, can be turned on (for me) or off (for my wife..sorry baby). Built of solid materials. Feels sturdier than my old Saitek Eclipse. In gaming mode, different sections of the keyboard can be backlit with different colors offering amazing assistance during gaming and the coolest keyboard light show you've ever seen.
Comment:
Although this keyboard is plug and play, "Gaming Mode" can't be accessed until you install the drivers. The included drivers worked flawlessly on my Windows Vista Ultimate machine, but I did note in the packaging that XP Drivers would have to be downloaded from the manufacturer's website. My old Saitek Eclipse keyboard died when I gave it an ice cold coca cola classic. I had planned on purchasing another Eclipse, but one glance at the Cyborg changed my mind. I'm extremely satisfied with this keyboard, but think it would be overkill for the average computer user. If you fall into that category, try the Saitek Eclipse (around $40 at the time of this writing...that's half the price of this Cyborg). However, if you game, have a lighted computer case, or have extra moeny to blow on a fantastic looking and functioning keyboard - you HAVE to buy the Cyborg! In addition, Newegg and UPS got this to my house SUPER FAST!
