Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:-Lacks HDMI

Pros:-23"-Amazing resolution-Great Colors-Great GUI-Great Appearance
Comment:
For a monitor at this price range and resolution, i thought it would only be natural for this thing to be selling out EXTREMELY fast; so fast, that when i bought it, i bought another one just in case. I'd have to say that by far, this is the best monitor i've ever owned, it even blows most 1920x1200 monitors out of the water as well. If people do the math, this monitor has more pixels than your standard 1920x1200 monitor, that and it also has great color reproduction as well. the 5 ms is decent for a screen refresh rate (i'm not a hardcore gamer, but i haven't noticed any type of "ghosting") and it shouldn't be a bother to anyone in that respect. The resolution my be a bit "weird," but as far as i know, all computers i have hooked it up to have been able to run at the exact resolution with AMAZING crisp visuals. The only gripe is that when you connect a PS3 or 360 to the monitor; they can only display things at 1080p which causes the picture to get scaled. That, in itself isn't bad at all since the monitor has so many pixels to fill in all the details and even make upscaled visuals look awesome. The picture is amazingly crisp, the colours brilliantly vibrant, and the screen size spacious. It's absolutely amazing that this monitor is offered at a 170$ range; if you're in the market looking for a stellar monitor; BUY THIS ONE, hands down; it's the best, whether it's cheap or not.

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:-height is not adjustable

Pros:-cheap-large-no dead pixel
Comment:
I got this monitor during the Christmas sale and I am very pleased with it. It is a huge upgrade from my 943BWX. It didn't have any dead pixels and comes with a DVI-D cable. The only thing I don't like is that it is not height adjustable and its about 9 cm above my table (I would much rather have it at eye level).

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:No HDMI or Displayport

Pros:Price / Performance
Comment:
This monitor is great for anything you can throw at it gaming or work. The only gripe with this monitor is the lack of HDMI input or display port but at this price level that can't really be expected.

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:Glossy surrounding the screen which might bother some people who don't like reflections. Buttons are touch instead of physical buttons which are hard to find in the dark.

Pros:I got this monitor for Christmas and it is very bright and crisp. If your using an old CRT or an a 3+ year old LCD I highly recommend trying out new monitor technology.
Comment:
Very bright and crisp visuals, no dead pixels and probably the best deal for the size and resolution at this time(December 2009).

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:A bit of light leakage, an odd resolution, no height adjustment, no hdmi, and viewing from the side the blacks turn quickly into greys.

Pros:looks like it has good colours and it definitely makes things look sharp ; this is in comparison to a 24" acer LCD i bought also.
Comment:
no dead pixels on mine. picked mine up for $189, but $169 is a steal though like it right now on boxing day. Definitely a great value, but you might need a telephone book to raise it up off your desk a bit.

Cons:no HDMI - but this is clear from product specifications

Pros:good looking, rich colours, lots of desktop space
Comment:
Have received this from NCIX a couple of weeks back, no dead or stuck pixels, good looking monitor with good colour reproduction. Touch controls are a tad awkward but noothing one can't get used to. Stand OK (won't use it - will hang on the wall).Totally worth the money.

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:annoying default message, poor stand design, short power cord.

Pros:low price that's about it
Comment:
Try to give it a 2 stars, but it says my Order ID is incorrect. So, I have to raise it by 1 star. Really, it does not deserve 3 stars, it barely deserves 2.Beside being about to tilt and turn the stand does nothing. I guess I got spoiled by Dell monitors stands that has usb, landscape/potrait, and height adjustment. The power cord is a bit short. The default message that tells you to set the setting to 2048X1152 is annoying. It does not auto-detect Digital Input - you need to manually change it.Bought 3 for a client, but I'll try something else next time.

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:None

Pros:Plenty of pixels, slick touch controls
Comment:
I bought a pair of these, and even though they've gone down $40 apiece since I bought them I still am totally happy with my purchase. One of the pair was DOA, but NCIX replaced it quickly, and they've both been perfect since. Not a dead pixel or any other hint of trouble.I have them side-by-side on my Linux KDE desktop, giving me 4096x1152 of screen real estate, so I can easily develop web pages with multiple browsers, editor, and graphics application all open at once, or I can open one of my huge spreadsheets wide enough that I can actually see all the columns and still have an entire screen left to do other work. I think these are such a crazy good deal for business users, I can't figure why businesses pay twice the price for 1920x1200 monitors (as if people are watching movies at work, or what?).And even for movies -- I tried it once and it looked pretty good to me. I prefer to watch my 42-inch screen for movies, but if I wanted to watch movies on a computer I think I would still choose these monitors.Oh, I might add, I've used a lot of computer monitors over the past 30+ years, so when I say these are the best I've ever owned I'm not just comparing to one or two others.

Cons:Not as good as the more expensive models.Too wide(?).

Pros:Price.Sharp picture.Slick design.High resolution.
Comment:
My dad bought this monitor for me while it was on sale for about $179.99. I have to say I am absolutely satisfied with this monitor. Sharp, vibrant, clear, no dead pixels, etc. The edges are thin and sleek, making this monitor quite a beauty IMO. 2048x1152 is a higher res than most 23 inch monitors. For the price you cannot go wrong. Usual quality product from Samsung.

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:No tilt base.

Pros:Ultra high resolution for the physical dimensions, great colour and brightness, limited backlight bleeding, and vibrant image.
Comment:
An outstanding deal for the price. Picture quality is superb and backlight bleeding is kept to a severe minimum (understandably this is inherent to all LCDs to some degree or another). Colours are vibrant and the contrast and brightness are excellent. It's by far one of the best entry level monitors that should satisfy nearly anyone looking for a high resolution monitor that won't break the pocketbook.I highly recommend.

Samsung 2343BWX 23IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 2048X1152 20000:1DC 5ms VGA DVI
Cons:minimal input options (keeps price down though, meh)

Pros:virtualy no back light bleedSamsunghigher resollution16:9
Comment:
Some prefer 16:10, some like 16:9. To each their own.I like the 23" 16:9 a bit better than my Samsung 22" 16:10. Both are very good TN monitors but I really dig the extra width on the 23". The actual viewable portion is 5mm shorter but 38 mm wider. With a blank, black background mine shows practically no backlight bleed at all on any edges. The front "buttons" are not buttons at all. You just touch the surface of the bezel where it is discretely marked to turn it on or off or to adjust it's settings. It works well, I actually like it.
