Maximum performance and the most reliable SSD on the market currently. You can't go wrong with this. If you already own a Samsung 830 series, this isn't really worth the upgrade since the 830 is already a very fast and reliable drive.

Very good SSD.I use it as my system SSD, so Windows 7, programs, games.I also use it with Intel X25-M Postville for other programs as well, and Seagate Barracuda for stockage.

i have buy this samsung to remplace the Corsair GTX 240GB i have returned Corsair because after 2.5months starting lagging in read/write...... now if u check corsair have release GTX 240GB Version B ...... sound badenjoy this Slim and Fast Samsung SSD

I purchased this SSD during the Black Friday Sale and got it with a 25$ gift card & Assassin Creed 3.My first SSD and after checking every single review I was sceptical of grabbing this one over the Intel 520. I took a risk and it was well worth it. My rig is a beauty and it boots up in less then 10 seconds (Windows 8).Every single game that I play, Loads in an instant with absolutely no waiting. I have over 20 programs running in start up and I do not even notice them slowing down my boot time.This was well worth the investment.

According to various reviewers, this drive is one of the top, if not the top performing drives that has hit the consumer market. So far it has held up nicely, and has for others as well, just as all of their products have for me. I'm a little disappointed that the prices for the 830 Series drives went up alongside the release of the 840 series drives, but it's not like this is a rare occurrence.

for those of you reading reviews from TSR (theSSDreview) and Anandtech, know the fact that they dont cover everything. the so called light/heavy work load test done by Anandtech only fills about 10-20 GB max and far from any daily use. this drive is fast ONLY because of it's fast QD1 sequential proven by HD Tune, and low access time, nothing else.the high 4k Read results you see in Crystal Disk Mark (CDM) is the HIGHEST score you'll get on any empty part of the drive. try it out, fill the drive to max 256/256gb and run CDM again and you'll see dumb results.samsung, step it up and make a better drive deliver better performance when data retain on it.

I am using Marvell 9128 Sata 3 port to run this drive because ICH10R Sata 2 gets maxed out as expected, but the speeds are limited to Marvell capacity which isn't as good as Intel's.However since 90% of your data is normally 4k files, the 4k speeds are as advertised. Which makes this drive VERY snappy in terms accomplishing everyday tasks such as opening and closing programs, restarting windows, loading files, My Norton antivirus now only takes a total of 8mins to finish as oppose to my HDD which takes over an hour.The only downside to this product is that, it is not desktop ready and you need to purchase more components for that separately. The price is also a big CON but it will go down eventually. There is no cloning software included.Run this drive on AHCI mode, believe me it makes a huge difference.

i got this when there was a deal. i got Assassins Creed III for free and a free $25 gift card for $300 so it wasn't a deal breaker.i didn't regret this at all, it very FAST

We tested one of these in machine with a Revodrive 3 X2 and ended up taking the Revodrive out. It's that good. Very fast performance that is right at the limits of SATA 3 and with no lag.I've also had no issues with freezing or BSOD at all with this SSD or any of the problems that seem to plague the various Sandforce drives. This is the drive that everyone is going to want for Xmas.
