Cons:The touch controls are horrible, so sensitive a fly could turn on the monitor by touching the power button, also impossible to see at night as the buttons are not lit up. NORMAL pressure buttons would work fine like they have in the past. Good thing you only really need to use them rarely.There is also a slight annoying buzz when brightness is below 88. Since the monitor is VERY bright 88 may to too high for some people. This buzzing is very quiet and unless your room/office is completely silent you will not hear it.The room I use the monitor in is completely quiet and the PC is not in the same room as the monitor so the buzz is noticeable.There are ways around as a previous person has mentioned.Another fix for this buzzing or humming is to put brightness to 88, and turn down the NVIDIA/ATI brightness through their software such as NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL. Also text was not as clear through the HDMI connect with a DVI-hdmi able. So no matter what use DVI for a pc connection.
Pros:1. Very bright even on settings of 50. 2. Contrast is excellent, blacks are pitch black.3. Text very clear through DVI, not so much hdmi4. Came as height, tilt AND rotate base(some do not i read)5. No dead pixels. Comment:
Overall its a great monitor. The one I got came with Height, Tilt, AND rotate. Although other reviews say some may only come with Height and Tilt.Only the touch buttons and the slight buzzing / humming make this 4 out of 5. Otherwise it would be a 5/5. |

Pros. Excellent monitor. Very Clear text. No Dead Pixels. Contrast Ratio is very good, blacks are pitch black, very minimal light bleed. USB and audio in and out, Great stand with tilt swivel and height! Cons. Use DVI no matter what for a pc connection even if you have DVI to HDMI cable. HDMI was not as clear. Speakers are horrible but you dont buy a monitor like this for HD sound , wish it was 1920x1200. but this 16:9 will do Unforgiveable Cons: Touch Sensitive buttons are so bad. Value 3 out of 5 for the unforgivable touch sense buttons Overall 9 out of 10 |

Great Monitor

I bought this monitor 2 weeks ago because it is 1080p so I can hook it up to both my computer and PS3. Everything looks great, no dead pixels. A few things to note: -Monitor looks amazing watching movies, because dynamic contrast ratio is 50000:1. When you use your computer however, you'll probably want to stick to static contrast ratio which is just 1000:1. It still looks great but your blacks won't be as dark. -Touch sensitive buttons are annoying to use - takes a while to get used to them and you can't see them without good lighting. -This monitor has the best stand I've ever seen, it rotates in all directions including sideways. -PS3 looks great on this monitor (even though most PS3 games are not 1080p). If you watch BlueRay on this monitor, it should look better here than on non-1080p monitors. -This is about as big of a monitor as I want to have on my desk, otherwise you'd have to sit back a lot further. -Overall very happy with my purchase. |

Pros:height adjustment and tilt are a plus. Bright and sharp. Thought it might be too big, but just the right size for putting my feet on desk and watching blu-ray movie. Comment:

best 24'' monitor out there

Picked up this monitor today. can not believe how much better it is over the 20inch BenQ I bought 4 years ago. This monitor excels in the following areas: - VERY CRISP PICTURE - swivels up and down, pitches forward and back, and turns side to side. Whole screen can rotate 90 degrees too. - Plays movies in HD to perfection - no ghosting - very bright. no colour bleeding. ZERO dead pixels - driver needed for XP Pro, but Windows 7 picks up the max resolution right away. - very nice controls. - can plug in two PCs at once and easily switch between them (as long as one is VGA and the other DVI - unless you have an extra adapter) - HDMI input works fantastic. - has both analog and digital drivers for the OS - matte black finish on the frame, so no annoying glare during the day. - control buttons are flush with frame, so they act more like a ''touch screen''. - excellent build quality. - will definately recommend. |

That is an awesome monitor for the priced I paid, I would not have bought it at regular price.The HDMI port is probably the best feature of this monitor, it's also very nice to have those build-in speakers. The speakers are not always loud enough depending of the application that is being used.The main this I don't like about this monitor is the menu buttons. Yes it looks very nice due to the fact that it's not an actual button, but it's harder to use them. Since I frequently use the source button to switch between the VGA/DVI/HMDI port it annoys me a little bit, especially in the dark.Overall, this monitor is really awesome as it's doing everything I need for a very reasonable price. I liked better the look of my 22" monitor with 16:10 resolution (versus this 24" that is 16:9), it's hard to get used to it. The no pixel warranty is also a very nice thing available (even though I didn't have any dead pixel). Thanks NCIX! |

My first 2 monitors came with dead-pixels. So don't forget to purchase the dead-pixel policy (highly recommended). And if you do get a dead-pixel, expect some time for it to be resolved. I'm still waiting for my 2nd RMA to be refunded due to a "jam in accounting".Menu buttons are touch sensitive and I find them hard to use especially in low light. Because of the flat surface, it sometimes takes several tries to touch the right area when setting the menu options, changing the volume or simply turning the monitor on/off.I bought this for my PS3. 1080p looks great, but 720p looks very pixelated. Unfortunately, most PS3 games are 720p. I find this strange because when I set this monitor to 720p on my PC, I don't notice pixelation.The built in speakers are convenient but don't expect the same quality as external ones. On my PC, the max volume isn't very loud, even with the OS setting at max. The max volume on my PS3 is great.Price was a bit high when I bought it and I watched it drop significantly while I waited for a replacement monitor through the dead-pixel policy The current sale price of 249.99 should be worth it especially with free shipping, but I wouldn't purchase it again at the price I paid. |

It took me a while to resolve my issues with this monitor. First it was a bizarre "halo" around text with certain backgrounds. I eventually figured out the sharpness was set way too high by default, and that solved that. Then I noticed a dead pixel, but thanks to buying the zero dead pixel warranty and cross-shipping (I recommend both), that wasn't too hard to resolve. When the dust settled, it turned out to be a good monitor - it'd be nice to have another HDMI port, a couple more USB ports, etc., but not critical.Note: If I recall correctly, the included DVI cable is four feet long or so. Awesome monitor. Vibrant colours and a lot of features. Had 1 dead pixel, but fixed it with a few presses on the spot.The touch buttons were very easy to use. The speakers are a little weak.
