It was the second cheapest 8GB drive on Tiger. Tried the U3 software then formated the drive from FAT32 to NTFS. Not sure if I will download and reinstall U3 again. It was nice thought. Program has to have special installer with special extension. Included Firefox was outdated. Download page links to programs with an exe installer instead of special installer files. I tried to activate ready boost on but Windows 7 won't let me. It failed the speed test.

This is my 3rd SanDisk Cruzer - no problems with any of them. However, I don't use the U3 capability and it is a nuisance on some Windows machines that take time to install the drive and then propose a re-boot of the host - not appreciated, for example, just before PowerPoint presentations on someone else's computer!

I bought this for my mom so she could transfer files between 2 comp. What I disliked about this flash drive is you need to select eject from the icon so you dont lose any new files, my 2 flash drives dont need to...

I have had a Sandisk liquid metal drive for some time now and it performs very slowly, espcially on the internet. I've tried updating the U3 version of Mozilla but it indicates that's all there is, and its way out of date. I've not been able to get any tech support either, to try and make it work better. You are simply directed to all of their self help pages to see if you can figure things out to solve the problem yourself. I finally bought a new and different make of drive instead....

This is exactly what I needed. 8GB is a great size, more than enough room for everything I need, it is fast, small and the built-in U3 software is great.

I bought my 4 gig drive two years ago, simply it was by far the most memory for the money in that particular store at that particular moment. At the time of purchase I was a little concerned about the stability of the retractable USB plug, but the drive is still going strong. Last year I bought the 8 gig drive, but didn't start using the U3 program until I started a new job two weeks ago. My new employer has a policy against installing programs on their equipment--no problem. I have my Firefox and all the other bells and whistles that make life easier installed on and running through my thumb drive. I love the portability! I never expected to use 8 gigs so quickly, but I'm already back for a new drive.

Excellent product, works great. Doesn't have all the features like portable apps, but that can easily be downloaded and installed for free off the Internet. No problems experienced with this product. Highly recommend for low cost and when you just need a lot of space to store stuff.

Once you start using these you'll never go without one again. I thought 8GB was more than what I needed, but I also thought that about my 2Gb and 4Gb drives, which I still carry along with the 8. Works well, does have additional programs on it for quick removal, security and even some games I think. Works great for storage, and does have a disk partition, but I haven't worked with it yet. I'd recommend this and probably buy another, but I'm eying up a 16 Gb now...

I bought one of these for the price thinking a flash drive is a flash drive. When I got it home it had U3 technology and some different programs on it. I looked at the programs and then formatted the flash drive. It works good for what I bought it to do now which is easy storage of computer documents.

SANDISK are the best. I use these for EVERYTHING from my computer business to save files, to transporting files to and from my Fire Dept for records keeping and much more. they are very user friendly. I own several of these!!

Me and my Friends use these exclusivly now. the capacity for the price is unbeatable anywhere you look! a few months ago these were 40$ a few months before that 140$! now they are less than 20$. they are pretty durable (my friend managed to break one by leaving it in the rain for 2 days then running it over with a car. it still works just not well)the U3 software isnt as great as they say it is, and it can be annoying. however if you want your drive password protected its very convenient (if not its very difficult software to remove, so deal with it) overall very good, only major cons are A)annoying U3 software and B)slightly larger profile than i prefer (cant fit in a wallet comfortable, but works nice on a key chain)

I purchased an 8GB SanDisk Flash Drive about 7 months ago, and it's the best flash drive I have ever purchased. I take it with me everywhere I go. I love the U3 Technology that it has & password protected. I use it to transfer Video, Pictures, and even entire Movies to my friends computer. It also has Antivirus software to protect you from any threat you might encounter. If you are thinking of buying it, you wont regret it.
