Scythe DFS123812-3000 "ULTRA KAZE" 120 x 38 mm Case Fan
Comment:
Low price high output 120mm fan, that generates reasonable dB, which can be governed with a fan controller, and is nicely built - employing a much better/thicker plastic than generic 120mm fans. Comes with a three pin to four pin molex connector as properly. None. Some thing to note for those that have little pc instances: the fan is thicker than standard 120mm fan, by ӭǘ", 38mm not 25mm thick.

Lots of Airflow, fairly quiet may possibly be tiny major(thick) for some compact circumstances. ASUS EPU autoadjusts fan and clock speeds to low when not underload. Keeps issues quiet when they will need to be.

value, for the air that these fans move, I dont assume there is a far better value. The flat out blow (thats a good factor this time). For a 3000rpm fan, they arent close to as loud as I although they would be. Static pressure is good and cfm is out of this world they are loud, but not what you would anticipate for the air movement.

Mounted nicely in case, sturdy, blows a lot of air as advertised Loud! Had this lying about since it didn't fit a cheapo case I bought from Newegg, so I utilised it to replace the fan in an additional cheapo "Shell Shocker!" case. Pleasant surprise: the 1st time in a long time I mounted a chassis fan whose screw holes didn't strip out when I tightened the screws. Powered up the laptop or computer, and I had to discover hang on to door jamb to maintain from receiving sucked into the pc, it was blowing so hard. (Brought the temp down to 44 from 48+ I got with stock fan. Meh.) Does what it's supposed to. On the other hand, man, that's loud! Immediately after half an hour, my neighbors from next door came more than to ask me to preserve it down! Just kidding, but it's 1 of the loudest fans I have ever heard! I can see how becoming in the exact same room with it gaming on Computer for a few hours, the noise level becomes intolerable! Buyer beware!

Sorry about the pun, on a whim I got for ű.99 on Newegg. Looked helpful and for my cost I can give no much less than 5 stars. On max power it shoots air out the back of my case like a jet engine. Seriously. Sadly, it is fairly loud at such speeds. At max speed you can still hear it from 40 feet away. The cost on this went sky high?? I don't get it. I'm constantly regretting getting just 1 of these little treasures while I can still get it as a bargain.

Moves a ton of air, but not quietly. Started making a "ticking" noise following a couple weeks, too annoying to live with; could obtain a different 1 for the cost of RMAing it. Thought I'd be in a position to manage it, but it's too LOAD when working effectively anyway. Last Scythe item I obtain.

If you want to move air in your method, there is Absolutely nothing like this on the industry. By far the most volume of air of any case fan. Sounds like a 747 taking off. Like each and every other evaluation states, this factor is loud and thick. Check your case and get a speed controller for best final results. You only need to have 1. This fan will overwhelm your intake fans.

Cheap fast fan, high cfm and static pressure which makes it great for cooling heat exchangers, not terribly loud but most surely noticeable. Both of the fans i purchased began making terrible noises immediately after 6 months. I'll continue to use these fans but i feel ripped off replacing them each few months.

Tons of airflow, in fact makes it cooler by my desk. I have 4 of these in the side of an HAF 932, directly pointing into my 480 SLI setup. With the stock fan, Furmark fullscreen 1920x1080 32x MSAA samples, GPU temp on the hotter card would hit 100 degrees in less than a minute. After putting these wind tunnels in, it took practically five minutes operating at full settings for the temp to get to 92-three, where it stayed for the next few minutes till i got tired of looking at a furry donut. The hype is actual, these are loud, actual loud. Sounds like you're at the airport. I am ordering a fan control to see if i can harness the beast. I knew this going in, though so no eggs off for that. Know what you're obtaining into here. VRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMM!

So. You need to have airflow mm? This fan is... a little bit quieter than... a blow dryer. It pushes a lot of air although. I mean, a super quantity of air. It's very a nice beefy unit. None No genuinely, there are no illusions here. It's a loud fan, like, a constant full blast of air flowing by means of your case. Can you think I used two of these in my Coolermaster CM690? Dropped case temps by a couple of degrees... Could hear the comp in the other room though...

This is very possibly the most potent 120mm fan i have each owned. It moves so significantly air, it can truly pull air away from the outtake fan subsequent to my CPU cooler. I don't even run it at max speed (mostly due to the fact i have a fan speed controller) but DANG it sucks air! A Bit noisy, but when your operating your computer as a server, WHO CARES? My personal computer isn't able to make it off the runway. With at least two, im confident it is feasible.

Air movement above and beyond I've observed from 120mms.Worked with my H50 push-pull mod employing longer length screws. It did drop the temps of CPU over default H50 fan by at most 5c... Noise levels are too much at quicker RPMs.Bought two of these and one of them necessary oiled; it created even a lot more noise and even following oiling throttles up/down differently and less smoothly.Thick body fan but longer screws help that I purchased this based on so a lot of outstanding review. I ought to have ignored the ones about it getting noisy. I thought I required air movement CFM but now thinking I will need a lot more peace and quiet and deal with the temps. The fan is black so expect it to look frequent and be noisy but it does move air...its so loud keeping OC temps down the Television volume needs turned up to annoying levels.

Somewhat low noise. Powerfull, moves tons of air. Cooled down my rig 5 centigrades. I just ordered 3 much more. What happened to good tracking program I utilised to watch while witing for items bought from Newegg? Now you can't even see estimate arriving time? If you need to cool down your PC this fan will do it. There are more powerful 250CFM fans but you will need to acquire additional 30Watt fan controller for them. This 1 here works well with mobo controllers.

High flow fans for sure. Great for server use or a laptop or computer that is not appropriate subsequent to you (or a great set of headphones). Excellent cooling for the price. I bought two and had 1 that had a bad bearing out of the box. Other then that, I was truly pleased with the one that worked and very good ol newegg is there for the 1 that didnt. Quite Loud but moves tons of air. I dont think you can get this kind of airflow without having some noise. Great fan controls can make this a 5 star. I employed a skythe fan controller and it didnt like how a great deal power the fan was drawing. If you need far better cooling then this youll either spend a lot much more going to a high tech fan bearing or just giving up and going to water cooled.

Pushes a lot of air, inexpensive, and not that loud when inside a case none, other than it took a piece of my thumbnail and producing it bleed like crazy due to me becoming stupid and trying to position it even though it was on (jerry-rigging it considering that I was attempting to position it to blow on a bay of challenging drives with out touching the wires; accidentally touched my thumbnail to the fan and the rest is history). This thing is effective.

This fan moves so significantly air that it can be felt in the room.I'm employing mine with a Corsair H-50 water cooling system and I only will need this 1 fan to maintain my CPU's temp to 52C at full load for over 24 hours straight. My common Corsair fan that came with the H-50 allowed the temps to rise to over 63C right after 24 hours of full load testing.I love this fan. It is by far the best bang for the buck out there right now.It is built like a tank and despite the fact that a sleeve bearing, it appears to hold up extremely well even if something accidentally gets put into the blades. Like a finger or dust rag. The fan is 38 mm thick so it truly funnels the air by way of it efficiently. You may well have to go to the hardware store to get screws to mount this fan.I highly suggest this fan if you are not too concerned about a small additional noise. There are techniques to stop the noise and I'll mention them in the final thoughts.I like this fan so a lot I just ordered one more for another laptop or computer construct. Can be noisy. Depends on where and how you mount it.So far it has lasted @ 24ǝ running for over a year. But I've had other sleeve bearing fans die on me where my ball bearing fans have lasted for nearly ever. Time will tell.Dangerous. Don't get your fingers near this thing. It'll slice and dice your digits if you get them in the fan.Dust....it sucks so much air that you will not want an air purifier or filter...this thing will suck all the dust in the air into your pc. So you will be cleaning the dust out additional often. That's OK if you are like me and like a nice clean laptop or computer case.My Corsair radiator gets genuinely dusty after just a couple of weeks use so I pull it out each and every two weeks to clean it up.May possibly not fit in some cases. Becoming 30 mm thick, it demands unique screws to hold it down. And as thick as it is, it may well hit some parts where a standard fan would fit just fine. If you are having a noise dilemma with this fan...get rid of constrictions in the air flow. I have mine mounted on the rear fan area along with my Corsair H-50. I cut out the perforations on the case and made 1 major hole instead of about 50 smaller holes. That cut down the noise tremendously. No more whistling sound but just the sound of the blades cutting through the air like a quiet whoooosh. If you are searching for a fan to cool issues down quite a bit, this fan is it.
