Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:none

Pros:works wellcontrols multiple fans
Comment:
Great fan controller, comes with 6 temp sensors (2 spare) so if they fail or you want to put them into a different place you always have those for later, cheap and effective. I have 2 of the controls spliced to use 2 120mms each and it works fine.

Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:one temp sensor not working

Pros:can shut fans off, looks slick
Comment:
I have tried several fan controllers over the years and this one is one of the best. Only second to the zalman zmmfc1. The panel is not overly bright to be annoying, and it is nice to be able to shut down fans. The alarm is annoying but can be shut off. Reads temps in C and F with a jumper change, easy to install.

Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Had to RMA the first one that I got. The beep that the small speaker gives off when a fan is set to off is annoying. The tape used to hold down the temperature probes is weak.

Pros:Easy to read. Simple Controls.Install was fairly easy (in a Coolermaster CM 690).Nice to have case temperature without using a monitoring program.
Comment:
I purchased this with my new desktop system. The unit that came assembled in my system didn't work properly so I had to RMA it.Installing the second unit was not that challenging. It was helpful having zip-ties (the cables that come with this device are long and so organizing them is important). It took less than 30 minutes to install it, get the fans hooked up and the temperature probes in the appropriate place. The only issue is with the tape that was provided to stick the probes in an appropriate place is not that strong (and so, the probes sometimes detach fairly easily).I currently have 2x Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Silent Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBAand 2x Cooler Master Neon Blue LED 120MM Case Fan 3PIN 22DBA 1220RPM 42.734CFM 3PINS (which I will probably replace with a better set of fans) attached to the fan controller. The Scythe Ultra Kaze run at around 2200rpm and the noise from these fans is reduced to a tolerable level (some might say quiet). The temperature probes are currently attached to my heatsink, hard-drive, graphics card and power supply. This configuration allows for quick monitoring of the ambient case temperature at the critical locations around my computer.

Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:-Cables aren't sleeved

Pros:-Viewing angle is not narrow-Looks great, second only to Zalman-Can use *F or *C-1A per channel
Comment:
Overally I'm extreme pleased with my purchase, it does exactly what it was advertised to do. There are two things I'd like to see, a model that supplied more then 1A per channel and either black cables or sleeved cables. While these are minor issues to me, it would definatly make this product much better. I highly recommend this to anyone needing a fan controller.

Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:... not so much the fan RPM (different colour, more glow)- 2 different colours on display- knobs a little wobbly- not quite tall enough (leaves a gap between bays)- can't connect fans directly, must use the long adapter- glossy plastic front

Pros:- looks great (for the most part)- works as advertised- has optional alarm- large range of Voltage for fans + OFF- temperature display is perfect...
Comment:
Was pretty much what I was looking for. I would have been happy with just a nice display for 4x temps for the specific system I used it in, but there's only so much selection out there. Not much to talk about as far as installation goes - really simple. Plug the cables in (might want to do this before installing in case), set the 2 jumpers (alarm On/Off and C/F) and it's ready to go.Just a couple of things I'm not too crazy about:- the entire front bezel is glossy plastic, so besides being easily scratched, it doesn't really match anything in the case. I will probably paint it or slap some aluminum or plastic faceplate on it- I wish the fan RPM was displayed the same way temperatures are - i.e. low key, darker blue - the glowing GREEN ruins it for me. Not to mention all the pictures on the tubes show it with 2 different shades of BLUE! This review was modfied by poster @ 04-11-08 03:38 AM

Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:-installation may be difficult; case depending-installs using 4 screws(can be mounted in the closest mounting holes) ie/ usually where the optical drives mount their first screws-the dial knobs have a knotch on the surface showing the specified position, but you cannot see/feel the knotch unless you look directly at it.-used a safety pin to etch a marking in the dial knob. Ends up being black knob with a silver etch marking.

Pros:-control and monitor up to 4 fans and 4 temperature monitor independently-Safe Alarm Feature-Celsius and Fahrenheit reading option-control fans between 3.7V – 12V, even OFF position-Maximum Fan Ampere per Channel1A per channel
Comment:
Some specifications/measurements for this EXCELLENT fan controller- fan cables - 4 x 28" (mini 4 pin to 3 pin male) mini 4 pin connects to the fan controller PC board- temperature cables - 6 f 28" (for some reason I recieved 6 cables, but theres only 4 positions to attach to)-power cable - 1 x 27"- 4 pin molex cable - 1 x 22"- dial adjustment knobs - 4 x 11mm in depth, 10 mm in diameterController works well. Temperature reading fluctuate a little. May want to invest in some 'y-splitters' to hook up multiple fans to one controller knob. Make sure not to exceed the 1 Amp limit per knob. Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Nobs are a little touchy.The RPMs fluctuate a little.

Pros:Worked perfectly out of the box.Works exactly as advertised.Crisp LCDWorks on all the fans I've tried. (scyth, AC - 120 and 80mm)
Comment:
I was looking to purchase a fan controller, and this one just poped out at me. Installed nice and easy. I was worried that I would have to buy fan extension cables, but it includes everything you need to get going. The LCD is very crisp and the temp sensors seem reasonably accurate. All the wires are all named, making it easy to use ( I still mixed up a wire though!). The beep works as advertised letting you know if the RPM of a fan is 0. Only thing I'd say to a user is that make sure you plug in all the headers BEFORE you put it in your case!
