Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:Only 30,000hrs lifespan so probably sleeve bearing.Light to moderate vibrational noise against the floor; exactly the same as Panaflo 120mm.NCIX incorrectly states "silent" in the title but this is by far not silent. Only thing louder might be Vantec Tornado fans.

Pros:120x38mm, all black, includes screws, details/tech specs on package, paper & plastic packaging, open chassis/screw holes, RoHS compliant, 2yr warranty.3pin TX3 connector, includes a 4pin molex LP4 to 3pin TX3 connector with tachometer RPM sensor bypass. Lets you monitor fan speed while using a molex connector.Rated at approx 19CFM higher than NMB-MAT Panaflo 120mm ultra speed fan and about $8 cheaper too.Makes the exact same whizzing sound and noise level as Panaflo 120mm ultra speed. This can be a strength or weakness or both depending on person. Also against a hand it feels to push exact same amount of air as NMB-MAT Panaflo 120mm Ultra speed fan; another strength or weakness or both.Lowering input voltage reduces fan speed, reduces noise level. and increases lifespan.
Comment:
Well this is a surprising fan. Again a trade off between lifespan vs airflow.16 more words to submit this review and I don't know what else to say about it. This review was modfied by poster @ 04-16-08 05:12 AM

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:Weight, noise, danger! Will Robinson!

Pros:Air flow, cooling performance, value.
Comment:
The 3000rpm Ultra is a monster in every wich way, it does push a ton of air but at 2000rpm its relatively quiet. This thing is also heavy with a massive magnet so when on full tilt it will also vibrate your case and create resonance noise in aluminum cases so insulate it, great for thick extreme radiators :] Its power cannot be denied, though God help U if you would get your finger cough inside while this thing is running (severed limbs anyone!) keep that in mind! >:]

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:Way too loud.

Pros:High pressure air good for Ultra-120 Extreme
Comment:
I purchased the 2000RPM version along with this one and it was much easier to deal with while still pushing a ton of air. I'm currently running the 2000RPM version in place of the S-FLEX 1600RPM 28.0DBA 63.7CFM I was running before and I don't notice too much difference sound wise with the 4DB difference. Keeps the CPU ~3-5c cooler under full load then the S-FLEX I was using. Now to see how long it lasts.

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:Loud

Pros:Pushes a ton of air
Comment:
These fans are great if you want to push a lot of air, but they are pretty loud at high rpm. Pair these with a fan controller though and they are awesome!

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:-Very loud at full speed. At 3000rpm I expected this.

Pros:-High CFM, moves lots of air.-High static pressure.
Comment:
A very good fan if you want to move a lot of air in or out of your case. I use it as an air intake in my Cosmos case, it helped to reduce my case temps. If you want a silent pc avoid this fan at all cost, unless you own a fan controler. This review was modfied by poster @ 03-01-08 04:39 PM

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:-loud-does not respond to fan control well

Pros:-pushes lots of air-high static pressure so it can push air through tightly spaced heat sink fins
Comment:
I bought this to put on my ultra extreme 120 along with a scythe slipstream of the 110cfm variety. After testing, the ultra kaze puts the most air through the heatsink but is very loud at high. When a turn it down using a fan controller, it still has a humming motor noise. This may just be a defective fan though. The slipstream is very quiet even whe nturned up a little. I am thinking about replacing the ultra kaze with the slipstream on the heatsink once the thermalpaste is burnt in and I can compare temps.

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:Sounds like the mothership taking off.

Pros:Extreme airflow. Gyar!
Comment:
I bought two of these puppies for my coolermaster gemini 2 heat sink. The fans arrived some time after the heat sink, so I was able to get some pretty decent passive cooling (around 38 degrees Celsius at idle, 54 degrees at load). When I attached these two monsters to the heat sink, they pushed the temps down to 28.8 degrees Celsius at idle and 36 degrees at load. Not great overall, but pretty good for air cooling.I would definitely recommend these (if you can get over the noise).

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:EXTREMELY LOUD

Pros:Very High CFM
Comment:
I bought this fan since I though I would go for performance over noise level but after installing it, I found that it was much to noisy for my tolerance. I ended up buying a fan controller to lower it's speed. I would not recommend someone to buy this unless you can tolerate above average noise. Overall though, this fan gives me good performance even with the lower speed with my fan controller.

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:LOUD

Pros:Really really really *Blows*Great craftsmanshipBest for the price point
Comment:
The only weakness about these is the sound, but for a 100+ CFM fan you can not expect silence. The sound is kinda great though. DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU WANT QUIET. But these fans seriously push Massively huge amounts of air, like I mean massive amounts of air I have ceiling fans that pale in comparison to these.

Scythe Ultra Kaze 120MM High Static Pressure Fan 38MM 3000RPM 133.6CFM 45.9DBA
Cons:None at all

Pros:Pushes crazy amount of airNot that loud imo
Comment:
Got this fan to push massive amounts of cool air into my computer, and boy oh boy did it work. This thing is a monster compared to the other fans, and it's cheap too!!
