The mesh screen filter appears fine enough to block out every little thing except for the finest particles (like flour). The frame is glossy black plastic and it comes with 4 black screws which goes nicely with my Thermaltake V3. The holes for the screws are too large for the screws. It'll attach to a case fan just fine, but if want a standalone filter on a case vent you may possibly be out of luck.
