Silverstone FF121 Case Accessory

This filter is a incredibly fine mesh and much finer than I believed. This will hold most dust bunny's and pet hair and other stuff you can see out of your case. Only the finest dust will get in, which can be anticipated. They match great in my case fans with no vibrations. I have a bottom mounted in-take fan which I use this filter for due to the fact the personal computer is sitting on the floor. Now I don't have to be concerned about dirt and bugs finding sucked up in my case now. Also Silverstone was smart to supply these filters with BLACK screws due to the fact most systems have black circumstances. The fan producers should study this lesson!!!! The filter functions so great it restricts the airflow to substantially for my taste. I would estimate 30 to 50% reduction in airflow. I guess I could get a scalpel and reduce some of the mesh out but that will be quite time consuming. With these filter's installed on my case fan's it direct's the flow of air much more to the side, about 45 degree angle, than just straight. Which is fantastic for me now my bottom fan blows air straight on my HDD and video card gpu. I would not be in a position to get air directly on these with this 1 fan with no the filter pushing the air at that angle. Without having the filter the fan would just blow straight up and not hit these to componants. By undertaking so my 5850 stays 2C cooler now at idle. No distinction in maxload. Get these as your fan's filter just get a larger rated CFM fan.

fits just right appears nice and has a low profile. uncomplicated to remove no tool`s required . you do not get 3 to a bag. like with some fan grill providing`s .

This is a good filter. I purchased it because my antec 300 hundred case had a dust filter on the fron two fans but none for the side. Now all the intake fans have a filter and the filter tends to make a excellent fan grill for my side fan in the plastic window I made :) none

pretty easy right here, versatile plastic, just what i expected. i place it in a fully custom case i built myself and had to flex it a small to get it in. no cons. Not a con at all, but i removed the filter to get far more airflow and much less noise.

Nice looking generic bezel that can cover up ugly fan openings. Removed the filter screen so can't testify to its effectiveness, but my guess is: not incredibly. I wanted to mod my case to add a blow hole at the top rated. The FF121 mounts flush to the surface and covered up the ugly hole I reduce with a nibbler tool really nicely. I mounted the fan inside the case and the port on the case door lined up with it, so I cut the mounting "ears" off of a dead fan to use as nuts for the mounting screws. The whole thing matched my black case and looks like original gear. (At least from the outside!) This was an exhaust fan so the screen was unneeded, I removed it to strengthen airflow.

Its a filter, its affordable, very good airflow. Just what I wanted none If you want to keep dust out of your machine this is great. I employed it to place over the side panel fan mount on my Antec 300. I had to use zip ties simply because it only comes with the cone screws utilised for fans. Nuts and bolts from the hardware shop would perform also.

Fits proper on my fan and filters the air nicely with out generating noise by cutting the wind. Filter is fine enough to collect dust. none

Works as a dust filter must The filter is thick, you will likely need to have longer screws than what was initially supplied, I came across this issue and had difficulty installing this. Maybe it would be far better for the filter to be created with a thin profile as to match in tight spaces.

attaches to the fan in contrast to like all these other filters where every person has to rig some thing up for them to function none, only hassel was the fans i purchased but thats their fault. would obtain again

Glossy black plastic.Fine mesh filter behind the hexagonal grille (not removable).Comes with glossy black screws.Incredible for intake fans considering of filter. Not amazing for exhaust fans considering that the mesh filter restricts the flow, probably reducing it to half. A bit high-priced for what it is, but it adds a good match and finish to a black case, specially if it has glossy black parts on it.

Filter is fine enough to filter dust, but not so substantially as to limit airflow as well substantially. 4 fan screws are integrated. Nuts and bolts to install the filter with out a fan would be nice too. Had to get them from the neighborhood hardware store.

Low-cost, simple to set up! They match perfect, and they've accomplished just brilliantly keeping dust out of my personal computer. Residing in a basement, I've generally located that my laptop attracts dust like no other, but these have cut that down to null. None!

Filters dust. Looks nice. Doesn't seem to enhance noise. nil I've purchased 2 of these so far. A single for the Pc I built for my mother-in-law, and one for my Computer, which I not too long ago upgraded with a new situation, much more RAM, a new video card and a bigger tough drive. I installed the second 1 on the inside of my case in an empty fan slot. I had to get screws with nuts on them to set up it without a fan. Ideal!

Uncomplicated to attach to case fan, have applied many in the previous handful of months on new builds.....only for intake fans tho....I like the black screws integrated with the filter. I very advocate!!! None

Installed this on a Antec 300 case. Installed on the side fan spot. Functions fantastic and uncomplicated to clean. None so far. Great filter, just acquire.

i like the simplicity, does good job trapping dust beware, filtering material consists of a single layer plastic mesh, this is NOT a foam filter fantastic alternative to foam filters

This was great for what I required to do ! I required to add a fan to the major of my case, nonetheless I did NOT have a fan port of any type there. With this grill and filter combo I was capable to do this and make it look as if it had been made that way from the begin !! None I may possibly take the mesh out as it does restrict the air flow some. Nothing at all a razor knife will not fix.

Operates wonderful! Keeps the dust out of my situation. No cons. Would have purchased a third a single for the side panel fan, but that would have not allowed me to fit the side panel on! Dang enormous CPU Heatsink!

Amazing Product. I wish they had some in other sizes. The slim style functions fantastic and does not take up a ton of room. I truly mounted this on the outside on my case and it worked perfectly. None. Got this on sale and with cost-free shipping. I wish I would have purchased much more. Functions great as a grill for fans also.
