I got this controller thinking I was going to want to drill new tap holes closer to the front of the unit so that the knobs would fit below the door on my CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000 case, but the front-most holes did the trick just fine. The controller itself works as advertised, and though the lights are as vivid as absolutely everyone says they are, my case door covers them nicely. - The knobs feel a bit low-cost- It only comes with two three-pin to three-pin fan cables. It also comes with two 3-pin to 4-pin Molex cables and two "RPM signal wires for M/B" that have the yellow sensor wire whip to plug into your motherboard so your it can tell how rapidly your fans are operating. These two cables are made for four-pin CPU fans, but will perform just fine with three-pin fans. I have five three-pin fans, so for two of them I had to use the 3-to-four pin cable with the four-to-3 pin adapters that came with my case. For the 5th fan, I employed the cable with the sensor wire whip but I yanked out the sensor wire and cut off the whip. I liked the 45 watts pre channel and that the led's fade with the voltage/ Burned out in about two seconds, laying waste to hours of wiring and setting this project back at least a week.It was in final testing prior to loading the mobo, in no way been powered up ahead of, i saw a glow from inside the controller and pulled the plug, but too late.All the good heat sinks didn't seem to help. just a puff of ozone was all i ever got for my 30 bucks.I checked all the wiring with a distinct controller, no shorts. Sunbeam controller is just plain flimsy. I'd heard poor things about this controller, now i'm sorry i didn't spend heed.The only thing extreme about it is it's suck-ee-ness

Good construction. Handles all the fans in my Antec 900 case with a single to spare. I leave the CPU fan plugged into the mobo.Personal computer is a lot quieter, crank all the knobs up for gaming. Turn them back down once again when just surfing the net.Adore all the extra cables the give you, I was in a position to splice all of my fans as they didn't have the correct plugs on some of them. With this kit, that's not an issue. LED lights are on the vibrant side, but when I start out gaming, I don't even notice them any longer. Cool style and removable gloss face plate for brush aluminum appear. Really sturdy frame and the knobs are smooth and solid. 30 Watts to every channel! Fan port/led knob ş stopped working following the 3rd day of use. Leds are really vibrant and might be a bit of an eye sore for some men and women, doesn't supply power to the fans till the knob is about half way up. Was running four 120mm and two 140mm case fans with this unit. This was my 1st RMA, I feel I just got a defective 1 :(

Update to my earlier review. Contacted Sunbeam Tech about RMA since of Ţ LED going out following a week of use. They said they had no units to replace it with but should have some in the subsequent few days. That was two weeks ago, now they will not even respond to emails. Stay away from this item and avoid Sunbeam Tech all together!!!! N/A N/A

The thing does exactly what it tells you its going to do, manage case fans, and it does that component perfectly Only came with two 3 to four pin adapters, which wasn't sufficient for the fans in my Antec 900. If you have far more then 2 fans that don't have three pin connectors then make positive to get some further three to 4 pin connects.Also the led on my initial nob randomly turns off when on a low fan speed, which is actually annoying, but even with the led off it nonetheless controls the fan so i can't complain too significantly Overall it works, but it appears like a hit or miss if you get one thats fully functional.

worked properly whilst I had the power cord, looks superior with the blue lec with my black case Customer SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT!!!! I had to take my computer system to a laptop or computer tech. for some advance diagnostics and the friggin tech guy misplaced the power cord to it. I've emailed, known as, and done almost everything inbetween to reach these guys but to no avail. I'm willing to pay for a new one, and shipping but can't even reach any person. SO now I have to jury-rig some thing.

Does what it's supposed to do. Feels sturdy and came with a decent quantity of cables and screws. Sorta tricky to put into my case.. I have a maelstrom btw.. Bright blue knobs could bother those who hate lights or are ocd.. You may possibly require unique screws than the ones shipped with it to put it in some circumstances properly.

Low cost following rebate, assuming they honor their rebate. Seems to work okay, despite the fact that I don't want to do a lot of cable swapping to test all the channels (which would be vital because they in no way included all the cables the box indicated). Unit came with cables missing, which includes the CPU RPM cable. Emailed Sumbeamtech's "customer support" address on their web page. No response whatsoever.Rebate terms are ridiculous. LED's go off when fans go off. Simple to install. Powers my Ultra Kaze's. The first channel was shot upn arrival. I am awaiting my RMA unit now.... This device should function properly. It has adequate energy for heavy duty fans. i am not shocked that it was defective although.

My fifth SUNBEAM Rheobus controller product! The 20 watt per channel ones i had three of, all working a long time now three years plus, only 1 i lost 1 channel on. Decided to try the EXTREME 30 watt per channel Controller, amd i was pleasently shocked! a good upgrade! from the little brother 20 watt per channel Rheobus. I am totally happy with the EXTREME model. Lights are not too bright ,and yea[ they dim with lower speed adjustment to fan/s. Six channels! thats a plus a lot more then i could ever will need very good to have 6 in case any or them goes out None but am thinking if i load all channels with fans to control, i will put a fan someplace to preserve the Controller cooler. You;d do that with a processor or any other component that gets warm, so why not? in all probability make them last forever, alot longer i am confident! They have heatsinks so they must generate heat. So why not a light weight 80mm fan, whatever, silent fan to move the warm air off the heatsinks. XAVIER at NEWEGG took care of me. i had a concern and this employee at NEWEGG ahead of i explained the whole problem made it new! fixed it! like magic! at no added worry or expense to me! THIS MAN DESERVES A RAISE $$ I genuine asset to NEWEGG! THANKS Quite Considerably!

The fans speed up, they slow down or turn off. It does exactly what it is supposed to. The develop good quality is superior, no genuine flaws with it. I was expecting a full aluminum outside and not aluminum covered with plastic (not an issue, just an expectation). Also, my largest complaint is there is no way to turn OFF the LED indicators, they are Very bright. I'm either going to cover the LEDs on the inside or return it. It lights up a entire room at night. A newer version it'd be good to have a ON/OFF switch for the LEDs.

The fan controller works fantastic and sufficiently serves my needs in terms of fan controls. This is a good obtain if you're searching to manage Ӳ-7 fans. If you're sensitive to bright blue lights in your room, this is not the case for you. Nonetheless, if you want to show off your blue system, these knobs will be good!

works could have came with more fan extension cables took it apart and put green led's in it to match my case. this factor actually makes a distinction in some of my fans that are louder when running at 100%

Runs six high power fans for a total of 474 CFM of airflow in my "Rooster" construct. LEDs are simple to replace by cutting original LEDs off at the head and cutting then shoving new LEDs into the plastic holders. Just solder the loose ends and you're done. Make certain your polarity is correct to the LEDs (had to redo my function cause I wired them backwards). This fan controller does what it's suppose to do. Leading 200mm fan doesn't spin until knob is turned about threeǚ of the way up. Don't know why. LEDs are also too bright when turned all the way up and knobs really feel affordable. Had mine about three days running 4 fans, added two additional last night and got this thing smoking up like a chimney....The LED's burned out on all but 2 knobs and the knobs got melted a ittle so they're now much harder to turn. Great item if yours works....I'm gonna RMA mine now... Sunbeam really should work on their top quality control, they make terrific budget parts for a low price. But with shoty assembly it's no wonder why they're not the most renowned brand in the globe.

Controls all my case fans well. Controls both of my duorbs (GPU coolers) on 1 channel. Also works nicely to turn my cathodes on and off. I currently have it controlling: 2 duorbs on channel 1, my two rear fans on channel two, 2 mid case fans on channel 3, 2 front case fans on channel four, and 4 12" and 4 four" cathodes on channels five and 6. All my case fans are 120mm scythe slip stream 1200 RPM fans. BRIGHT LEDs! If you like darkness, these points are BRIGHT! In the course of they day it is fine, but can get annoying at night. I have my PC on the floor, so it is bearable, but on a desk may possibly be a issue. Not suggested for a HTPC unless you put a shroud over it. I can actually make shadow puppets on the wall, they are so bright. Wants additional cables. If you have a big case be positive to purchase extensions (only has two) and three pin to molex converters for your molex fans (like the duorbs). Fantastic fan controller! Can support several large fans per channel, as properly as cathodes. Get it and deal with the LEDs.

High wattage fans can be utilised with this controller and RPM sensing is great, enjoy the concept. This item has the capability to be extremely good..... but read below.
