Construction of this mouse feels very cheap (scroll wheel specifically, light shining also shines thru the top, also). However, this mouse performs as well as any mouse i've ever used. After a week of using it, i dont notice any of these flaws anymore. Unless you are gaming or need bells and whistles, there is no need to spend more than this on a mouse.

I just got this mouse today, and it works great. My only complaint is that my old mouse didn't have a USB plug, so the new one is taking up an extra port. I'm sure the specifications mentioned something about it having a USB plug, and I just didn't see it.

I was very surprised when i got this mouse for only 7 bucks this thing is nice and smooth movement and scrolling wheel and all the other people complaining about the light through buttons and scroll wheel i think it looks pretty cool i like this mouse...

Don't expect tons of features. It is what it is. A cheap mouse the really works.

works as good as any $15 mouse, and the optical laser shining through the center roller isn't a bad thing as a matter of fact, that is how i ensure it remains responsive, its not bright and not deterring, only see it at night and if your hand isn't on it, bought two of these and use both all day, just love them...

Nice optical mouse for the price $6.99. The only problem with it the red laser light shines through around the buttons and scroll wheel, easy fix take apart and put a piece of electrical tape on light. I also wish it had a longer USB cord. Works great and beats a ball mouse any day!!!

I bought this to replace a mouse that's got a double-click problem, only to find that this has overall mushy resolution and the pointer tends to drift. The scroll wheel is no great shakes, either. I'm keeping it as a backup device, but that's all.

Bought this and an inexpensive keyboard and speakers to make my laptop more usable at home. Works great, and have had no problems with it. Very glad to use it instead of the touchpad when that's possible.

I use it for FaceBooks FarmTown and it's a wonderful solution! I am now able to use the wheel mouse to enlarge and make any farm smaller. It makes my life much easier!

I teach in a computer lab where the roller balls are just too old - they were making my kids nuts! I found these and ordered several to replace those - happy kids, happy teacher! The price is right since I bought them myself. They're being used by at least 8 kids a day and doing quite well.

It works ok, It cheap, but it has a loud clicking noise. get what you pay for.

Mouse is inexpensive and works very well. I use it with my laptop and it works on almost all surfaces except shiny or glass-like surfaces. Other than that I use it will sitting on the couch, (mouse works on cushion) at the kitchen table and outdoors.

I bought 10 of these to go with Dell's normally "incompatible with everyone else" computer for our office. They all work and are doing well so far after 2 weeks. I like Systemax products and I avoid Dell products which are ok till you need repair.

This USB optical mouse works just fine for me. Only issue I have is that the case is made in such a way that the red "laser" light shines through the top. I had a similar mouse before but didn't have that issue. As another reviewer noted, it can cause glare on your monitor. Only other thing I've noted is that if you bump the cable and the mouse slightly disconnects from the USB port, you must unplug completely and replug in order to regain mouse function. I solved this by moving cables around so the mouse was less likely to become unplugged. All in all, a basic optical mouse, no frills, and useful for basic computing.
