I wanted a cheap mouse that works and this one meets both criteria! It does have a USB connection, that I wasn't aware of and don't like because it takes up one of few ports on my desktop.

I generally use trackballs 98 percent of the time. I just need a mouse every so often when I edit images. This fills that need and does so cheaply. I wasn't willing to spend any more on a mouse and for the money it does the job when I need to be slightly more precise than I can be with my thumb trackball.

Great product for the money. I only rated it down on performance because I'm a left-handed user and I have to go in to mouse properties often to reset it back to a left-handed mouse (on WinXP).

Good value for the price, however, don't expect too much. The responsiveness is sluggish. It's ok for day to day routine work like documentation, opening some files, where you have to use the keyboard more than the mouse. But cumbersome for internet browsing, gaming and home usage.

Decent product. The responsiveness feels slightly weird to me. There seems to be a small delay between when I first move the mouse and when the cursor eventually moves. It also seems like its responsiveness may vary slightly depending on the direction of motion. These things affect the precision of the device and it takes some getting used to.

I purchased this mouse to go with the new netbook that I also purchased. The mouse worked flawlessly, and since we don't really like using the keyboard mouse on the netbook, this is an inexpensive, yet practical buy for us.

The optical interface allows the mouse to be placed on almost any surface, but I noticed it does have problems going over a wrinkled or reflective surface. This is obviously not the fault of the mouse, just the optical system. The build of the mouse is good enough to get by, but I wouldn't expect it to take much damage without breaking.
