haven't had any bad ones in the spindle . I would recommend TDK's for safe fail burns .I bought a 50 pack of sonys over half wouldn't burn. And the price for this is a lot cheaper then anywhere else

TDK 100-Pack 16X DVD+R in Spindle
Comment:
Great quality, just like everyone says, but ... I give this 4 stars instead of 5 for a different reason, and am posting this as a warning to other purchasers. The DVDs are packaged in a cylinder which screws down onto a base. This *looks* secure, but isn't. The cylinder came loose during shipping (fortunately, the plastic wrap held it together, so no harm done). Far worse, when the cylinder is fully screwed onto the base, the misleadingly secure appearance can lead a person to pick the pack up by the cylinder. If it's full of disks, the weight can cause the base to rip loose and drop out of the bottom -- which might cause the blanks to bounce out (even with the restraining sponge in place), hit God-knows-what, and suffer damage. (I've got three scratched, useless blanks now because of this). So, use 'em and enjoy 'em ... but keep your hand under the base when you pick 'em up ... ;)

I love this brand. Great quality, play well in DVD player, plenty of room to write and label the discs without obtrusive logos or graphics.

Comment:
Ive tried several other brands and none of them come anywhere near the success of TDK. Out of about 70 of TDK DVDs that ive burned i only had 2 failed burns (one wast laptop battery died and other was i was running to many programs at once) The 2 i had that failed were my fault! Best discs ever! A must buy! I make dvd backups with these all the time. I used the TDKs on 4 different drives, HP 2.4, lite-on 8x, QSI 8x and AOPEN 16x all work like a dream with TDK.

Comment:
After endless coasters I have come to comclude that TDK+R's are the ones I like the best, (or at least) their performance is extended to Pioneer DVD burners since that's what I've been using to burn DVD's. Comparing to HP, Memorex, Office Depot, Sony, and others...TDK's are the ones that have maintain data structure the longest, also, if you have Disc skin's you extend the disc's life enven longer
