If the adapter wasnt bent sufficient I wouldnt get power. I managed to "fix" it by bending the plug and taping it down to the back of the cooler. It is what it is. Often I use the cooler to just get the laptop off of my lap/bed. If you use it on your legs, it will not feel great as it won't feel very good on your lap The only way I wouldn't advise this is if you keep your laptop on your lap at all instances. It is created to be utilised on a solid surface, not your lap. You seriously can not go wrong unless you expect to keep it on your lap. Keeps my HOT gaming laptop cooler. This Cooler is wonderful! I'm a mobile DJ and I use an over-sized laptop (gateway FX) and obtaining a cooler has has been a royal pain. This Cooler is solid, sturdy, and has a big fan. the lights are a plus too, but my laptop is so massive that i can't truly see them. The cooler also has excellent non-skid grips on the bottom. my search has ended! The value was pretty steep, but it's metal and i anticipate to use it longer than a little bit. I have spent funds on a couple of coolers that collectively equal the value of this one. don't inexpensive out if you want a excellent cooler. also, you wouldn't seriously want to use this cooler on your lap for too long.....not extremely comfy. that's not actually an issue for me simply because of my preferred applications, but my wife wouldn't use it since it eventually gets uncomfortable.........not enough to knock off an egg for; I'm happy with it

The mesh design is a nice visual touch but it also feels far more durable than the targus and belkin coolers I have used prior to. It keeps the laptop fairly cooler and I have noticed my GPU is no longer overheating. It has a 230mm fan or 9.05" which has far better airflow than the coolers with the mini fans that do absolutely nothing but make noise. I have a 17" gateway FX gaming comp. and it fits nicely on the stand. No cons yet, but will keep every person posted if any troubles come up.

My 17.4" laptop overhangs the stand a little but its still produces a marked reduce in temperatures. I have an Intel I7 720qm and this factor runs HOT!!! No load runs about 60c Full Load runs pretty much 90c. With this cooler it runs about 15c cooler full load and about five-6c no load. Even following hours of game play the only place that the case is even warm to the touch is where the processor vents. Really Nice cooler and quite quiet fan. The LEDs in the fan are totally useless cant even see them. They are really weak and don't shine out from under the stand/laptop. Not seriously built for lap use. The fan has a grate on the bottom with somewhat big holes in it so its simple to get stuff stuck in it. Not genuinely meant for mobility its about 7-10lbs and really sturdy. Its produced of aluminum but its not flimsy at all. The base is practically 1ǚ-1ǘ in thick. My guess is its produced for specific area cooling IE home for gaming but not so significantly for travel.

With my new Cooler, I really feel ZERO heat anyplace, either on leading or underneath! Finally, this cooler is extremely well constructed, compared to the other inferior Coolers I've owned. Noise?? Silent as an Angel's whisper. It wont talk to me, on nights when I'm lonely. The "LightShow" supplied by the Fan is ultra cool, but considering that my notebook is so massive, the light display is virtually hidden. Realize, I do not consider this to be a "Con." I generally discover myself "peeking" to see it!I mentioned the other inferior Coolers I've owned. I've got at least four of 'em stacked up. Initially, a screw gets loose and falls out, then the frames holding the fans fall off, wires break or come loose from their connectors and poof. I promised myself that I would Rehab/Upgrade one of these inferior Coolers into a High Efficiency, Bulletproof Cooler. Now I can just scrap/recycle them.
