Stay away from it if you have windows 8. I haven't tried on older OS, it might work but I don't know

TP-Link TL-WDN4800 450MBPS DUAL-BAND Wireless N PCI-E Adapter Atheros 3T3R 2.4/5GHZ 802 11A/B/G/N
Cons:Rather frequent connection drops (using Windows 8)

Pros:Can reach high speedsPlug and play
Comment:
I've got 4 computers connected to wifi, and none with cables. My three other machines do drop  connections from time to time, so this probably has to do with either my ISP or my router, but this TPLink wifi card drop s MUCH MORE often... Like once or twice every day for an undetermined period.Though I must concede my case is low on the floor and not so close to the router, I also work with 3 different laptops located just a foot higher (sitting on the desk instead of being under it) at the exact same location, and I never have had so many connection cuts.

Cons:None?

Pros:Price, speed, stability
Comment:
Works great, connects to TP-Link N750 router and is able to transfer files from my NAS at full 100Mbps (NAS is limiting). Internet speed test shows 45Mbps which is also what I get with wired connection to the cable modem. Great card!

TP-Link TL-WDN4800 450MBPS DUAL-BAND Wireless N PCI-E Adapter Atheros 3T3R 2.4/5GHZ 802 11A/B/G/N
Cons:The wireless processor chip on the card is covered by a TP-Link metal case so you can't visually see the actual chip manufacturer.

Pros:Easy installationIncludes low-profile bracket
Comment:
I purchased this to replace an external USB wireless adapter. In Windows 7, the signal shows one bar less than my old USB adapter, but I don't notice any speed difference.Because I no longer have an external USB adapter sitting on my computer and this card connects instantly after Windows loads (my old adapter would take up to 2 minutes) I'm very happy! Not noted in the product description is the included low-profile bracket.

Not super happy with this Network card. The signal keeps disconnecting, got to do some fiddling around before I got to work. Installed it on Windows 8 machine and it was giving me some driver errors, got that figured out.

Cons:None that I've found

Pros:Affordable, seems to work just fine.
Comment:
Bought this because my Cisco Valet USB adapter wasn't making the connection 20 feet to my router. This seems to work just fine. Signal is steady and it doesn't drop  my connection to my router. I would buy again, and will buy another if needed.

TP-Link TL-WDN4800 450MBPS DUAL-BAND Wireless N PCI-E Adapter Atheros 3T3R 2.4/5GHZ 802 11A/B/G/N
Cons:None so far

Pros:Works natively with Mac OS X LionEasy InstallStrong signal
Comment:
I picked this up to run in my OSx86 Hackintosh Pro build, based on reports that it works natively with OS X Lion. I can concur, it was as easy as plugging it in, and starting up my fake Mac Pro, enabling my new wireless device (shows up as Bluetooth PAN) in System Preferences -> Network. Punched in my network key and I was up and surfing. The single strength is very good, at least in my house. I have a wireless AP on all three floors, but even if I force it to use the one in the basement (my machine is on the top floor) I still get full wireless N speed and solid connectivity. Overal it was a bargin at the boxing day sale price of $24.99. In a pinch I'd probably even pay full price for it.

TP-Link TL-WDN4800 450MBPS DUAL-BAND Wireless N PCI-E Adapter Atheros 3T3R 2.4/5GHZ 802 11A/B/G/N
Cons:Antennas are too close to the desktop casing, but that's the problem with the standard antennas that come with most desktop wireless cards.

Pros:Dual-band. PCI-E. 802.11n. Three antennas to allow up to three streams. Low-profile bracket included.
Comment:
A decent 802.11n network card at low price. It meets all my criteria: supports dual-band and uses PCI-E. Throughput theoretically peaks at 450 Mbps, but my router only supports two streams so I never tested it. The sensitivity seems to be good. I have my desktop sitting on the ground with a cluster of wires around the antennas and still get excellent connection all the time with my router in the next room on the same floor. It is easy to set up and the card itself is small. TP-Link doesn't provide any utility for 64-bit Windows 7, but I don't think that utility is useful.

Cons:antennas can be larger to capture signal.

Pros:low profile, 3 antennas, pci-e.dual band, support wireless n 5ghz
Comment:
bought this boxing week sale. my wireless adapter on msi z77 mpower main board is quite weak. the tiny antenna has to be magnetic attach to a mental surface. copy file from router attached hd only around 700kb. wrost of all, it doesn't have 5ghz n. with this tl-wdn4800 plug in, I found my router both 2.4 ghz and 5ghz network instantly. 2.4ghz raise 5 bar and 5ghz 3 bar. with 5ghz I achieved over 1.3mb, almost doulbe speed of mb build in adapter. over all I am glad to buy this great product with fair price. I'd apprecaite they provide bigger and stronger antenna. my rate to this adapter is pretty close to 5. I gave it 5 for the discount price I paid.
