ThermalTake NBcool T1000 Notebook Cooler

I have to say, I had my doubts. But I've had it for over a week now, and my laptop, which was overheating dangerously, is now not only not getting hot, it's actually cool! I have a 17'' laptop and this 15'' cooler works fine. It hangs over an inch on either side, no big deal. I was concerned that maybe this cooler, because of its low price, might not be up to the task, or might not last as long as some of the pricier models. Well, it's certainly up to the task. As for durability, time will tell. But for the money I paid, I won't gripe so much if I have to replace it a little sooner. It seems durable enough to me though. The plastic tray seems solid enough, though it's not going to take a beating. As for the moving parts, it's a fan. You plug it in, it spins. What more do you want from it? Well worth the money in my book. It may just have saved my very expensive notebook from a catastrophic overheat! Going to get another one for my Mom's laptop. |

I had been looking for a bigger cooler for my oversized laptop. This was the only one that came close to being big enough. Its quiet and it works well for my gaming rig. |

Got this light as a feather (now paper weight) hunk of flimsy plastic, just as flimsy as the packaging it came in. The fan blew about as good as the gas coming from my cat; a 120mm waste of space. I really recommend you pass this pile of nothing up for something much better. I usually have nothing but great comments on Thermaltake products, but they failed miserably on this one. Needless to say, this is going back and I'm grabbing something from Coolmax or Targus. |

Bought this cooler for an Acer, spoke with several computer people that said heat is the worst enemy for a notebook. This is a great deal and great unit. Very quiet, keeps the notebook cool, notebook fan rarely comes on. |

i recently purchased this notebook cooler based on previous reviews solely, and it is worth every last dime...previously, it sounded like my laptop was screaming for air, now it runs almost like a desktop computer. Very quiet and efficient. |

Replaced a Kinamx Notebook Cooler with this, the difference is amazing (not to mention the Kinamax died). Feeding air to the laptop really makes a difference. Quite simply, after two hours of use, the laptop, this device, and my legs are cool. Even the laptop's rear vent is cool, it seems like it's working well to me, let's see how long it lasts. |

I did not realize this was only 600 rpm. I put my hand over the fan basically barely any air coming out. Now I understand why I can't find the CFM rating on this - probably don't want to publish. Flimsy plastic also. I'm now looking for a high flow capacity metal unit blowing upward. IMPORTANT: if your notebook has air intake on the bottom and exhaust at the back - mine has 2 bottom intake fans that make a heck of a noise, you need a cooler that blows air upwards. This one does. most coolers suck air downward which would choke the notebook's own cooling capability if intake from bottom |

This cooler works great!! Keeps my laptop very cool. I highly recommend this! |
This notebook color is very light weight, works great and it is extremely quiet. I owned a couple other coolers but I find this one to be much better then the last two I owned. The material does look cheap but please don't let looks fool you.
