cools properly dropped my load temps by about 15c more than stock cooler What a nightmare installing this cooler on a 1156. The pushpin connections are flimsy and makes achieving a right heatsink proccessor thermal paste interface hard. quiet, no will need for the adjustable resistor

Gigantic and awesome. Surprisingly quiet. The blue led matches perfectly with my x-dreamer case and it looks fantastic through the clear panel. No complications what so ever cooling my phenom 9150e processor, tho that's not hard to do. I mentioned this above. IT'S Large. just barely fits in the case, but it does. It's also fairly high priced just for a heatsink and fan, but a lot of that comes from the aesthetic aspect. Don't get it if you are hurting for space or have a modest case.

I have it on my Phenom II X4 and it runs fantastic not to mention how cool it looks with the tunnel style. The ideal element of all was i got it for ฤ bucks immediately after a ฤ dollar rebate. This enormous beast is not just big.. ITS GINORMOUS!! I had to get rid of one of my side fans on my COOLER MASTER Storm Scout for it to fit. Kind of disappointed about that but I'd rather have a better heatsink more than a fan any day. It was a small tricky to install mainly because of the size and limited space left right after placing it on the CPU, but it wasn't also negative and worth the work.

It has brought down my temps by about ten C when idling and about 5 - eight C when playing Napolion Total War. Cools properly and is pretty quiet. Installation was a snap, took about 5 min following reading directions. Appears excellent! It is large, I had to mod my case panel to fit it in and re route some cables, but not a huge deal. I has cooled my cpu pretty properly but I am only operating a 3. ghz core 2 duo.

Properly, this just arrived currently and I have it running suitable now. Here's a good tiny list of pros:- Incredibly pleasing aesthetics- Blue LED is not brilliant (but noticeable)- Blue aura about the cooler, as an alternative of 'light bulb' impact- Really responsive cooling- Handles OC'ing pressure Really well- 6 - big copper heatpipes with chrome finish- Moves air onto other components- Copper base with practically perfect mirror finish (polished)- Intuitive mounting design- Cooler actually mounts either at or 180 degrees with out affecting perfromance so it clears ram or heatsinks depening on your setup- Super light weight Properly... not also numerous cons- ์ for a cooler that's on par with ฽ - โ coolers (read other thoughts)- AMD mounting clip is incredibly secure, but will allow the cooler to spin +/- ten degrees around the center of the CPU, which doesn't effect efficiency, but it's just poor design Overall this cooler amazing, though some other coolers carry out just as effectively at slightly lower rates, you're paying for a cooler that doesn't look like a 'trash compacted windmill that nevertheless functions'. Rather, you spend ŭ - บ much more for a cooler that is really aesthetically appealing. Here's some raw numbers:Temps (idle/load) with stock AMD coolerᛔC / 56C stock ƒ.7ghz) on AMD 7750BE49C / 70C OC Ɠ.4ghz) on AMD 7750BEWith TT SpinQᛀC / 34C stock ƒ.7ghz) on AMD 7750BE36C / 47C OC Ɠ.6ghz) on AMD 7750BEMy idle temps were taken 15min soon after windows login, and load was taken immediately after 20min Prime95 torture test. My ambient temps are about 22C and I have a Logisys Area 51W case. I also attempted working with a ZEROTherm Nirvana NV120 (็) and it's temps were about 10C - 13C higher then this.Verdict: Exceptional cooling answer for AMD or Intel (comes with LGA1366 brackets and LGA775) that is effectively worth the 5 bucks more to appear amazing.

See cons The whole reason to upgrade is the stock fan is not cutting it. One particular simply because the retention process sucks and two since it is a much less efficient design. So why make a huge successful cooler and mimic the poor retention design. On my AM2 chip this cooler moves freely when the clip is securely fastened, meaning I can very easily and effortlessly move the heatsink about. Booooh Please charge me five-ten dollars much more funds and consist of the essential hardware to fasten this to my technique, a thing so major so poorly attached to motherboard is scary!

Massive cooler, make certain you have a case big sufficient to manage this monster. My CPU in no way breaks 37c and the cores have reached as low as 17c. Coupled with a thermaltake armor+. Full of win.Ascetically pleasing, looks like a hamster wheel built on razor blades. No, seriously. It looks like it's built for animal abuse. On AMD motherboards, you are forced to align a single of the intakes in-line with the expulsion fan. I was aiming to have had it blasting air horizontally across the mobo as well as out. This would have been optimal, seeing as my case has a giant 23cm fan that would have force fed air into it. No such luck. I wonder how potent it would be if it were capable. Regardless, for an air cooled program, it undoubtedly does it's job.Second, you cannot manage this fan electronically. There is a manual knob that you ought to turn.Lastly, do not purchase ram with big heat sinks on a board with no a enormous quantity of space between the CPU and the ram. I settled with g.ability sniper over other people since of it. Uncomplicated to install.Keeps i5 below 55C when all core maxed out.Fan is quite quiet and comes with a manual adjustment.Fan moves a lot of air. Speed controller wire is short, and knob will ultimately lay on your video card. Can not manage externally. Assuming your case is wide sufficient, I would advocate this cooler to use on any 1156 chip. Blower style fan runs at like 1000 rpms and moves large amounts of air.

Fits nicely in an Antec 900 two which I believe is the ideal case for this cooler because of the massive exhaust fan on best of the case.Keeps my Athlon x2 250 at 17c-19c idle and 21c-23c though running Starcraft 2 beta with cooler fan at the lowest setting + all case fans at the lowest settings.Good appear and extremely quiet at low settings. This fan is loud at high setting but I guess that is what you can count on. Got this cooler for a deal I couldn't refuse and I strategy on performing a little over clocking on my laptop ahead of I upgrade everything, so it will come in handy. Excellent looking adds some flare to my case with the side view window and is keeping me in the mid 30's C, so carrying out its job properly. Had to move RAM to the outside slots, but doesn't impact their efficiency, my wiring at the connector was a tiny loose, so the fan wasn't powering on at 1st, but a little tweaking and it is running powerful. Absolutely check your space since it is a big cooling unit, if it fits you won't be disappointed.

This factor is just what it looks like: a big cyclone. It chews up the cold air and spits out Far more cold air, due to the fact it keeps the CPU so cold. It also looks fairly bamf... It truly is.... quite massive. I transferred it to a new case and it didn't fit D=. I had to remove one of the internal case fans and mount it on the outside, which was entertaining. Also, a side note on shipping any build pc with this: it will most likely bend. Since the fan and majority of metal is mounted 'high' on the heatsink, the tubes that connect it to the base are moderately flimsy. Now my case has a quite minute vibration. Inconsequential... but existant. Check your specs :D. If it fits, this baby is a go!

Looks great. Very massive (barely fits in ATX mid-tower), slippery even although it's clamped using AM3 holder. This can be a possible dilemma if the fan is not stable and could not supply the cooling necessary. I did get it to work, nevertheless be confident to use Plenty of heatsink paste. I would replace with additional paste after 4 months to ensure suitable heat conduct.

Well it looks seriously cool and I assume it's quiet, but that's relative. Some individuals have complained that it's loud, but I guess I haven't noticed it that much. Somebody on right here said it doesn't run properly with the 1090T. I've got a 1090T and right after an hour of WoW, it temps out at 46 C. That, however, is with the case open. It does go up a bit when I put the side of the case back on, but I most likely want much better airflow.

Runs quiet compared to the stock fan on my Phenom II 965. It runs at about half the RPM of the stock fan. With the stock fan I ran about 43 degrees Celsius with no load and about 50 degrees Celsius with a heavy load. Now with this fan I am running at 34 degrees Celsius with no load and 39 degrees Celsius beneath a heavy load. I also utilized Arctic Silver five compound instead of the Thermaltake compound that came with the fan. Could use a much better base for the AMD sockets. Even when it was initially latched down I could nonetheless wiggle it about slightly.

it looks cool and move a fair quantity of air doesn't function any greater than the fan that came with my CPU and half the time it functions worse untill you change the path of air flow in your case since it doesn't fit next to my large ram sticks and so i have to have it in backwards and then it under no circumstances gets along with my case's airflow. never fits in any case and ofter times needs bent in like 15 distinct directions.soon after i got a new case with massive fans and realized that the case was not the challenge with why my core was operating so hot i switched to the heat sink that came with my CPU and now its running at the identical temperature tl;dr: don't buy this if you already have a heat sink or if you want super performance, nonetheless if you just want it to appear cool and pay for the looks then this is for you Manufacturer Response:versedaaron,Please make contact with ttsupport@thermaltakeusa.com so we can discuss the installation of this unit.Thermaltake Customer Service

Good heat sink. I installed this on an AMD Phenom II 965 with AS-five paste. 10C drop below typical circumstances and about 7C drop when overclocked to 4GHz and running a stress test. Looks are in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I actually like it. Plenty of photos right here, make your own opinion. Fan is quiet. The AM3 mounting system is the cause for the loss of 1 egg. It is a bit loose sitting on my CPU and I'm not the only 1 based on the other reviews. In a vertical mount configuration, the non-pipe side dips about 1-two deg. Probably only noticeable to me since I installed it. It does not seem to trigger any degradation in performance, but a heatsink must fit tight. Do Your Homework! This factor is freaking enormous. Take measurements or at least preserve your packaging to return it if you underestimate. I have it in an XClio A380-Plus. I necessary to hot-knife away a portion of the fan cowling and guard bars to install. It works fine due to the fact there is good margin from the rotating assembly and the fan has minimal vibes (No boost in noise from mod). Furthermore, I am not positive why they integrated a three pin (vice four pin) CPU connector with a pot for speed control. Not an issue unplug the controller and it defaults to high speed. Due to the fact the sound is nevertheless at the border of perception at high, it's a non-issue.

Quiet, cools properly, looks great. It is so major that it block memory slot A2 on my Rampage III motherboard. It can be a major concern if you program to use 6 memory modules. I'm not sure if this is the cooler challenge or the motherboard layout. The stock Intel cooler does not block the slot although.

Dropped my load temp from 140F + to 120F more than stock. Idle went from 90F to high 70's.Looks at household with the rest of my blue LED fans. Its quite large so don't try and squeeze it into a little case. I knew this ahead of time so no eggs removed. Its hard to tell if its quieter then stock since i have 12x120mm fans in my case, but its absolutely not any louder. -Asus P7P55 WS mobo-i5 750 quad core OC'd to three.0ghz-Thermaltake Spinq-4 gb corsair xms DDR3 1333-2x BFG 9800gtx's-2x WD 500gb 7200rpm hdd's-BFG 680 watt modular PSU -Thermaltake Mozart tx-12 Thermaltake 120mm blue LED fans

Huge. The image doesn't genuinely give you a great thought on how large this heatsink is.. It's rather massive.Because it is so big, I use extensions from my power supply to lower hardware power inputs since the bulkiness of this significant, but actually stunning metal architechure, takes up an extraordinary quantity of space. Its shape causes it to pour over onto my memory bays, causing me to switch out the memory cooling program I had with one thing of a smaller size.Nevertheless works well. This processor is quite innovative, inventive, and cleverly developed and you can\'t go wrong with it if you are a computer user who does not program on over clocking and wants a slick distinctive looking cooler. Does not hold up so properly on high end processors and falls brief when utilised on high clocked processors Looks amazing and the aesthetics are gorgeous...nonetheless i am a power user and i was disappointed with the efficiency. I hope thermaltakes does not get discouraged on creating coolers such as this because i would like to see a innovative and high performing cooler such as this in the future
