I have had this and a Garmin C330. By far I love this TomTom One way more. Smaller, clearer, and seems to give better directions. A lot more options. Built-in POI's could be better but other than that it is great -- and less than $150!

Downloaded updated maps without any problems. The kids love the R2D2 voice I downloaded. Works great with no problems at all. Highly recommend!

Got this for my daughter for her birthday. She has to drive to different cities frequently. She hooked it up in her car immediately and it worked right away. No Problem. This is an amazing deal. She loves it. No problem with the car charger.

I got my TomTom yesterday and I am very impressed. I did not have any of the problems others had. Plugging it in the car charger did not blow up the tomtom and downloading the maps took a little while but worked great. I used it today locally and was surprised that it even told me which lane to stay in cause another turn was coming up. I downloaded Homer Simpson to give me directions :-) They do have Mr.T but its 12.95. Homer is Free and so are a lot of others. I can only recommend this GPS especially for that price! This is my first one and I love it!

Great customer service so far! It is easy to install the software on my computer and download the updated maps. In talking to Tom Tom technology advisor, they told me as long as I didn't purchase my device from Ebay or used that I could download updated maps free for the first 30 days. I was impressed! I never even opened the manual to learn more. It was very user friendly and will recommend this to anyone. It's the best value. I am very satisfied. This is a refurbished unit but it came in a brand new box with everything sealed. This is not the first time I have purchased an item refurbished at Tigerdirect.com. I will continue to use Tigerdirect.com because of great deals like this!

Well everyone is right...it did work right out of the box...even worked when I charged it with my laptop. But... when I used the car charger supplied with it..well...it fried the TomTom first then the fuse blew....almost instantly...I am not impressed at all. It is the weekend so there is no customer support at TomTom. Go figure. I am sure they will replace it, it is only 2 days old....If they don't I will be back to this site and all the newspapers from the Hamilton,Ontario areas will be contacted

Tom Tom is refusing to give me the free map update, on the grounds that I got it at a discount because it's a refurb. I really like it, and after a couple of weeks with it, I'm reading reviews of other units and coming away disappointed with them, but for $100 for that map update, I'm considering returning it and getting something else. Also, some POIs aren't there when I try to correct them -- they just don't appear in correction mode. Other corrections don't always stick, and it still won't route me down roads after I correct them as unblocked.

Wonderful device, easy to use even without reading the manual. It responds quickly to screen touch commands, recalculates routes in real time quickly, and is designed to work intuitively. When we missed an exit it quietly recalculated a route adjustment and guided us through what might otherwise have been a stressful situation late at night in an unfamiliar city. The highlighted points of interest (such as gas stations) are useful as well. The included free software is easy to use to obtain map updates and even lets you provide corrections.

Wonderful GPS unit, this TomTom One 3rd ed. As noted, this is refurbished, though the only way I could tell with the unit shipped to me was cable packages had been opened and weren't neatly tied as with new. Very good performance, nice that can plan and store waypoints in advance of trip. That you can download from Google Maps corrected waypoints is a very nice feature! Due to problems with rental, wound up with Neverlost GPS, the TomTom ONE was more accurate and far easier to use. (Had to get used to TWO voices talking at me with directions). Neverlost has more verbal instructions, looking to set that level of verbal cues on TomTom ONE Also as noted, TomTom will extend offer for new map, but they require you send more information to them to verify purchase. Not a big deal, but if you don't want the hassle, buy this new! Still great deal and features for the $$$. Strongly advise getting a case (padded camera cases work great for less than TomTom case). Friend noted not rugged units

Mine arrived as another customer had forewarned and i overlooked - BROKEN!!! I do not know what exactly their idea of ''refurbished'' means but if it means repackaged and resold then yeah i guess its right on, but keep in mind that means STILL BROKEN. My unit was a blast for the first 5 minutes it worked then i realized it would not charge and contacted tech support after almost 2 hours of my life being wasted they go oh its broken return it. I would NEVER buy another refurbished tom tom again. The device itself is great, the refurbished part, if you can call it that, not so much i would NOT suggest buying one of these, buy a non-refurb. Upside was tigerdirects staff was very fast friendly and very very good about the return, i would never go ANYWHERE else for pc components or GPS systems, ill be purchasing a replacement within the next few minutes.

This review is about Tom Tom service. I bought this unit from Tiger Direct. It is a refurbished unit by Tom Tom with Tom Tom warranty.Ready out of box,well not mine.Had no maps found on unit.Called Tom Tom stayed on phone for a hour they tried this and that. Told me they were goinig to reinstall maps.This took about a hour.This did not fix unit would keep on restarting itself and freezing up. Called Tom Tom Again. This and that again about 30 mins this time. Then they decided the unit needed to be reformated.Remove everthing and reinstall.This took about two hours with DSL high speed.The unit finally worked.Unit came with a free map download code. Code could not be redeemed. Called Tom Tom Again! They told me since unit was refurbished I would have to show proof of purchase.Had to take a picture of receipt and download to Tom Tom.Then Tom Tom send me the latest map download which took about another hour to download.The unit works good now after four hours with Tom Tom.5 stars now.

Didn't really need a GPS, but hard for a gadget lover to resist this price. Probably give it to my son who will start driving soon. The interface with TomTom Home is great and the ability to add celebrity voices (Dennis Hopper, Mr. T) adds some pizzazz to your navigation. Love the unit. Extremely simple to use and I am very pleased with the support I have recieved from Tom Tom. Only problem that I have had is downloading the free latest map, because my internet connection is too slow for a nearly 1GB file. Customer service is going to provide the file through other means.

This is my first GPS and I found it very easey to use and set language, I was so easey I can't imagain anyone finding it diffcult to setup. I tried it out localy first I will take you the fastest route but not durring rush hour. Planing a family vacation this year I'm sure we will put it to the test.

I brought several for my daughters as a early Christmas gift (-: They simply love it. I opened each box, selected the country, customized for their use, and like magic, they were off. It was as easy as 1, 2, 3. I purchased the GO 910 a year ago and was fond of its ease of use, 20 gig HD, multiple features and map accuracy; so I was truly thankful to Tiger for making the lesser version affordable and for offering a 1 yr warranty on a refurbished product. It was well worth the investment and our peace-of-mind. Again, thanks...

Unit is easy to set up and use. Had it working right out of the box in 10 min. Use it the next day and it worked great.

This is a great GPS for the money it will get you there. Not a lot of bells and whistles but who really needs that I just want to get where I am going and this GOPS does that!

I got my TomTom last week and I love it!! Easy the learn but I did have to spend some time with cust service to straighen a few things out. I've download other voices (including Austin Powers) as well as all the Bank of America locations and all the Dunkin Donuts locations!! Hase everything you need to get to your desination and then some. I do wish it had Bluetooth. Highly recommended and probably the best buy out there.
