I just put 2GB in my system. Word of note.. when adding Dual Channel memory (this is what it is) you can not mix it with other size memory. Ordering 2GB more soon of this memory !!!!

I had 1 GB in my PC, made up of 1 x 512MB and 2 x 256MB chips. Installed 2 of these 1GB modules, and tried to keep the old 512MB chip, for a total of 2.5 gigs, but the PC started freezing and crashing. Pulled the 512MB chip out, and everything worked fine. I guess you shouldn't mix memory from 2 different manufacturers.

these rams were purchased on the assumption that it is sometimes sufficient to increase memory rather than build a new system. well, not this time. although they were 4 times the previous bars, speed increase was next to nothing. so this system was shelved and we still had to build a new one.

We ordered two sticks of this memory, only one of them would work, when the second stick was installed the computer would not boot. After removing one stick of ram it computer would boot. Swapping out the sticks of ram, when only the second stick was installed the computer would not boot again. So we go one good stick and one bad stick.
