This thing works just like it says it does. I have one of these and one of the older Ultra 4 cell super chargers. This unit is much better. Being able to see the battery levels and to be able to have the charger discharge partialy charged batteries before recharging them is worth the extra $. I'm glad I bought it.

5/5 Bought and received this battery charger last week and I was amazed by the product. I have completly recycled all my NiMH rechargeable batteries. Before I got this charger, I was going to discard some of my batteries because after they were charged with my previous charger, they worked for 2 minutes in my camera and died. Now, after using this charger with the (discharge/recharge) function, they work like new ones. It has already saved me money by not discarding my batteries.

I removed 4 freshly charged NiMh AA batteries out of my old charger and placed them in this one. Only 1 showed fully charged! Further, I noticed the others finished at different times. I was not getting the proper performance out of my batteries! A few older NiMh batteries seemed to last longer once I used the discharge/charge cycle. The individual charging/LCD indicators are must-have features! The power supply is 110-240v and the light weight ''switching'' type (not the heavy iron core) which is great for travel. Being able to charge AA & AAA at the same time is also a great feature. Highly recommended.

good product ordered mine recently one week for delivery and I got to say it works like a charm. Reconditioned 12 energizer nicd and theyre working like new. We like the fact its all computerised so it wont overcharge batteries plus it tells you if the batteries are no good... All in all one of the best buys around.

I keep over a dozen AA cells in daily use (mp3 players, digital cameras, video games, flashlights, etc.)This is the best charger I have owned in my 60 years of working with electronics. If your ratings went higher than 5, I would give it a 10.

Charges NiMh really well and if you only put one or two cells in each side it will charge in only half the advertised time, but if you put in 3 or four on each side it will take around the advertised time. I have yet to test on NiCd, and the display cover for the left side popped off when I removed the clear label, but it has yet to come back off.
