Best product
Comment:
This gave me the added ability to add more USB devices if needed in the future. Ultra seems to me a very good and relible buy.

Works well with Vista 64
Comment:
Just received it, plugged it in, Vista found it and installed all of the ports. Plugged in my HP scanjet 3570c and it worked perfectly. Couldn't be simpler.

Plug It In, It Works
Comment:
This is a great product for the price. Just plug it in, reboot you computer, and you're in business. I've noticed people complaining about the drivers on the disk not working. The drivers are only for Windows 98 or ME. Everything newer already has the correct driver already installed. Anyway, this is a great unit for a great price.

Okay, but not necessary
Comment:
A good 2.0 USB hub will do the same thing, without cracking open the box. Took several reboots for XP-64 to recognize. Not all that impressed.

Works fine for me
Comment:
I'm running Vista 32 bit and it seems to work fine for me. I never bothered using the drivers on the disk and just let Vista install it automatically. I don't know why it's described as a 6 port USB card when it clearly has 7 available spaces (header counts as 2) in the picture. The box I got even says 7 port. The only problem I found with it is that the bracket for the back is a little small. So it was a little difficult to get it inserted well into the PCI slot on my motherboard.

Good Value
Comment:
This was one of only a few usb cards I was able to source with an internal USB header to permit the connection of a new case accessory. I encountered no problems, and am happy with my purchase.

Had some problems
Comment:
Didn't work for me.Bought to increase the number of USB 2.0 ports. Ran software installation which caused system XP Pro (SP3)to abort installation because driver was OLD. Overwrote the existing driver which caused a bunch of problems. Restored priveous driver and removed card. Currently using onboard USB 2.0 ports and an older 1.? card for cameras. Probably would work fine on an older machine.

Worked Great
Comment:
This product worked exactly as advertised. I had an old machine with onboard USB 1.1 ports. This card was very cheap and installed really easily on Windows XP and instantly I had 4 USB 2.0 ports. Very good value IMHO.

Got this to plug my external HD and Magic Jack in the back of my tower. It works great and as usual (the site) got it to me fast!

It works, what else can I ask
Comment:
My wife's PC with an older ASUS MB has only had 1.1 USB capability. I have been upgrading it for future use as a Windows 7 PC. Added this card and it makes a big difference in all of her USB needs. The wireless KB & Mouse is faster, printing better and no subtile suggestions that I should upgrade to USB V 2.0 for better speed. She is set for life (even though she retires in 2 months).

Doesn't work with 64-bit Vista
Comment:
I installed the card and it didn't work, so I contacted tech support at Ultra. They said they didn't have any reports of it working with Windows Vista 64-bit. They said they don't carry anything that is compatible... recommended I reinstall Vista 32-bit or return the item... not sure if this is true, but it's not working and Ultra told me on the phone that it may not work with 64-bit.

Just what I needed
Comment:
My MSI MoBO reported enhanced USB, but it only acted as 1.1. MSI said it was the onboard controller. I added this card without turning off the onboard ports & it worked fine. I still use the old ports for printer, scanner, etc. I use the PCI ports & the front port for ext HD, Flash Drive, Memory cards, Webcam, etc.

Good Device
Comment:
Well, from the previous reviews, I don't know what went wrong. I read the description and I got what I ordered. The performance on my device is fine. I am using it to stream video and similar functions. I know all of my equipment is in fine working condition and this USP add on was just what I needed.

Ultra ULT40325 USB 2.0 PCI Card - 7 Port, Hi-Speed USB 2.0
Comment:
The former reviewer thought there were 6 not 7 ports. Actually there are only 4 ports. all 3 internal connectors are shared with the first external port. I benchmarked the throughput and the card is a DOG. The highest throughput I could get was 7.8 MB read, no where near 2.0 USB rates. If I had any notion that Ultra was using a VIA chip on this piece of junk I would have passed. I'd send it back, but it's not worth the time, effort and return shipping charges. You should pass on these puppies unless you can stand the slow speed and must have the dual usb header.

Ultra ULT40325 USB 2.0 PCI Card - 7 Port, Hi-Speed USB 2.0
Comment:
This card works OK, but there is one problem: there are only SIX ports!! Four external USB, one internal USB and one 7-pin connection. Another 7-pin connector would have been just what I needed.
