Form factor on this psu is slightly smaller than the down model X3. Problem is mine died after a short run life of 5 days. A quick replacement with an X3 seemed to eliminate that the PSU was the problem only to find later that both units were DOA. Another exchange and now I'm running on another X3 and waiting on the RMA'd X-4.

I called Ultra before I purchased this PSU. The tech help was excellent. It's running my crossfired dual 4870 x2's with no problems. I would recommend it.

I bought an Ultra X3 1000 almost a year ago. Now with 20 20 looking back my performance was dropping over the year until 2 month ago my machine started crashing. I found the PSU was dropping to 0 volts on some legs so I RMAed it. Got it back and it was the new version (the updated X3 1000) Installed it and when I put a load on my video card the PC would crash. RMAed my Video card 3 times and each time it would do the same thing. So I called Ultra to make sure the PSU was ok before smoking another Vid card. The X3s has an issue and they knew it. So they are sending me the X4 1050 so we will see.

Extremely well designed power supply with plenty of connections. Great warranty that you can relay on and excellent (the best) support one could ask for. A bit pricey but in this case you get what you pay for.

This PSU Rocks! Running trip 5870s, I7 920, P6T, 12 gig OCZ Gold trip channel 1600, 5 sata2 hdd, 1 sata dvd burner, 1 Ultra MD3 dash, and a HDDVR Card and there is still room to run a another pc on this unit! Over all the best PSU I have ever owned or even sceen!

This Ultra X4 1050-Watt Modular Power Supply is a very quality power supply unit. It features a single 12 volt rail sporting 76 amps on that single rail which is what you want for efficient and consistent power. This PSU is modular and comes with a plethora of power cables for all of your custom build needs. On a side note, the 24 pin Motherboard connector is missing one pin in the setup, pin number 20 I believe. This is perfectly NORMAL and you should not be alarmed. All you need to know is that it is a -5v pin that is not used by newer technology. This Ultra X4 1050-Watt Modular Power Supply is a must buy if you are building a powerful rig. I would recommend any of the Ultra X4 Power Supplies to suite your power hungry needs.

I was a tad under powered so got this one, this is my 4th ultra PS and all are still going strong! I will say the cables are a tad long but its better to be a little long than be to short,as for the Review about stiff cables just heat the cables up a little with a hair dryer if you need to.

This is the best PSU ever with out a doubt. I upgraded from another major market name brand. The modular cables are the only way to go. They are a bit longer than the other brand I was using and that suits my needs perfectly. I put this work of art into a Cooler Master 830 NVidia Edition full tower case, it looks like a glove fit. The unit is so quiet, I have to look to see if it is on. and the price was a steal. One more time TD has gone beyond the possible of getting great products out the door that don't break the bank or get into my kid's college tuition. Great product, Great buy. I will be using Ultra PSUs on all furture mods for sure

I saw the video review so I thought I would try it. If you are serious about a new PSU watch the clip. This thing performs great. No power fluxuation at all very steady. The wife system is using the X3 1000 watt and it performs flawless. This one in going power a EVGA 790i SLI Ultra MOBO,Intel Q9650 CPU,2 WD HD at 750gb and 1 TB,2 Plextor DVD Burners, 2 EVGA GT 250 1GB, 8 GB PC1600 OCZ Platium Ram running Windows 7 64 bit. I fired it up and it doesn't even give this PSU a work out at all. More power than I need. I like it that way. It is also very quite. I do like th modular cable system to keep it clean.

I bought a gamer computer from CyberPowerPC--I'll never do that again--rebates didn't, spare hard drive died, and finally the motherboard died (ASUS Striker Extreme) after 1.8 years, and I'm not pushing it at all. Thought it was the power supply, so bought this one. Works fine, features great, nice sockets to plug in cables, everything I wanted. Turned out it wasn't a bad p.s., so I replaced the Striker Extreme mobo with an Asus P5-ND. Not the best, but OK for now. Tried the

I have to say that this is a great power suppy. It takes a lot of power and puts it in a smaller package so it does not take up more room than a regular power supply. That being said I can say I absolutely hate the cables that they went with for the newer model. The previous two models had the flex cables that were easily bent and put in position however the new style (which is that off a regular old power supply only modular) don't flex well at all! I had to fight to get the sata power connectors on my 5 hard drives and it's impossible to manuever them in because the cable is so stiff. Overall not happy about cables but the power itself is fine.

Purchased the X4 because I was in need of a PSU that could handle my rig (285 gtx, 8800 gtx, 8 GB of ram, 5 HDD's with RAID 5, E6550 oced to 3.1 GHZ and a host of addin cards) PLUS be ready for a future upgrade to an x58-i7 system. Never used an Ultra product before so I was a bit nervous about the purchase. The video clip at Tiger's site was the clincher. The guy did a great job. If you are serious about a new PSU watch the clip. It will cover more than what can in the text box. Two ''nice'' items: Cable management Velcro straps and the Lifetime Warrenty (do it on line with 30 days of the purchase)
