Priced under Ū per disc these 25 gig discs are now significantly cheaper per gig than DL DVDs and compete with normal DVD-Rs cost per gig. I've made both data BD-Rs and Blu-Ray movie BD-Rs with completely no concerns utilizing my old LG GGW-H20L ATA drive. I just had to update the firmware. The newest is YL05. I was also concerned no matter whether my old Panasonic BD30 would play them. No issues at all. But ahead of I tried it I updated to the most recent firmware ƒ.9). None at all. I lost the initial disc I burned. I utilised Nero Burning ROM v9.4 and I wondered why it took 1ᛒ minutes. That Blu-Ray would not play past the title screen on my player. I then realized that Nero set the writing speed Wrong. These discs burn at 2X BD NOT 2X DVD. Nero wrote the disc at 2X DVD which is about .7 BD. 2X BD = 7X DVD. So I burned the rest of the discs with Imgburn v2.five, a Free program. It only took about 40 minutes with that program to burn a full BD-R at 2X. So...don't use Nero to burn these until Nero is updated.Also...Newegg was out of stock when I required to order so I ordered from yet another retailer. Large mistake. It took them a full 2 weeks to get them to me. The day soon after I placed the order Newegg had them in stock and I would have had them about 10 days sooner!
Mili Rating: Review Date: 07/31/11	Verbatim BLU-RAY BD-R 2X 25GB Branded 20PACK Spindle Comment: These discs work with ImgBurn on my LG WH-08LS20. The initial disc had to be ejected and reinserted soon after ImgBurn reported a failure. It then burned successfully and there have been no further troubles. These discs function in each my Sony and my refurbished Magnavox Blu-Ray players.

I bought a couple packs for use in my LG BD burner to back up photos and databases. The large capacity is great for this purpose. Can't wait until the price of the Dual Layer discs comes down.Find them on sale, and you can't go wrong!

I've had one bad disc though.Also, the speed isn't the greatest, but that's mostly a price issue in terms of the speed of discs right now.

Comment: I purchased a spindle of this for burning in my LG BH10LS30 drive, and to be read in a Lite-On IHES208. FYI burning ~23.86GB at 2x only takes approximately as long as burning a DVD+R DL at 2.4x, so not bad at all.No problems whatsoever, I am extremely happy switching to BD-R media whenever possible.

Comment: Blu ray discs are currently the best form of backup media for all of your important documents and pictures. I've burned about 15 of these discs so far and have not made one coaster yet.

Comment: I was personally looking to burn my Blue ray movies as back up (wink wink) but realized that 50gb blank media is required for almost all the movies out there that I want. So if you are under the impression you will be able to burn blue ray, think again unless of course compressing.

These seem to be the best deal out there when on sale. Nowadays I buy only Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden after having lost a few dozen DVD+/-R over the years when I didn't know better. I hope the Verbatim BD-R hold up as well as the DVD-R do.

This cost finally made me move to a BluRay burner.Plays in my PS3 and Samsung HT1250. Comment: If you are looking for quality media on a budget you can't find a better deal right now)than this Verbatim Spindle Pack. It works on everything I've tried. A definite Winner!

But I am sure as new firmwares come out speed will increase. Pros:These disc are cheap. Cheap as in they cost very little. Gotta love getting bluray space for the price of dual layer DVD. Use them with an LG BH08 and no problems! Pretty scratch resistant too. Comment: I would like to say that I love these discs. They are cheap, they are efficient, and did I mention they are cheap? Getting 20 for the price of 10 4x discs is definitely worth it. My PS3 has no problems reading these discs at all, and using them to back up all sorts of data just makes sense. LTH media is awesome!

They do have it stated that you should check compatibility on NCIX.
