This is my second view sonic monitor I have owned in my life time, the first is still working as far as I know I gave it to my brother it was a CRD I think the call it, this is my first LCD, thus far I am extremely happy with it.

Ok where to start. When I first got this monitor I was replacing an other 24 inch I was having issues with. After putting it together which was quite simple I plugged it in and installed the Windows 7 driver. At first I was disappointed with the colour and picture with the default brightness and contrast settings were way off. I spent approximately over two days 2 hours adjusting and calibrating the monitor settings with the help from many calibration websites. I give a lot of credit to Nvid's display control panel with assisting me with the calibration. The viewing angle on the display is good, not great. I did notice my had a much better viewing angle, but if you are sitting directly in front of the monitor like most people do this will not be an issue. Since calibrating the monitor colour and picture is awesome. I am overall very pleased with my purchase and I defiantly recommend this monitor.

Does what it says. I found that the feedback for this unit really helped in the setup for it. It is reaaaallllly bright!!! I've been buying Viewsonic for as long as I can remember and have never had a bad one, just a little challenging to set up sometimes.

Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. The video and picture are excellent. The only issue I have is the sound quality. Even with the installed audio package most of the available effects make the sound come out sounding like it's in a tin can and raspy. The best I could get was using

This is the best monitor I've ever used and the sound from the speakers (located right & left rear side of screen) helps to enhance sound from my other speakers as well. Although I have an ASUS MB with built in HD Digital Video and an AMD Phenom X2, I still get a better picture on VGA than I do on the HD setting; the HD picture is really sort of smeary and faded while the VGA picture is bright, tight and very easy on my eyes. The adjustment control buttons are hard to press, located awkwardly on the left side and leave a lot to be desired. Still, I think I paid too much ($199.00) for this unit so my advice is wait for a bottom dollar sale ($175.00 or lower) sometime in January 2010 to buy and enjoy!

My first flat panel monitor and I love it. Fast delivery, easy to set up, works great. I can't find a thing wrong with it. I use it for 3d cad and it has a great picture. I'm going to get another one for at home.

Bought it specially for the wider screen so that two pages can be arranged on the same screen. It is perfect fot the job and I am satisfied with it. The speed and quality are very good and it was installed in minutes without any problems. One thing I would not recommend is the audio quality and this is definitely not for you to enjoy any music seriously. One thing I have not figure out is why when you play any movie the screen automatically went to 16:9, even with 4:3 format. I have to shut down the computer in order for the scren return to its normal function. Think I have to figure this out eventally.

picture is awesome. bought as gaming monitor for xbox. hdmi input & pic is awesome. mini jack for audio out is needed because internal speakers are worse than most laptops. add a small set of powered computer speakers or out into your stereo in order to hear. still awesome price at $199 and got it next day with free ground delivery

Only thing i can say bad about it is when i play my xbox the screen is a lil fuzzy compared to when i pay it on my HDTV with HDMI but as far as the PC display i've noticed that the sharpness and detail is elegant compared to my old CRT. No doubt a good deal for the price plus its 24

I purchased 2 Viewsonic 19' Wide screen a little over 3 years ago and one of them started showing retrace lines on the display, which made it almost unusable. Verified the warranty and it had expired 8 days prior. Contacted Viewsonic to see if they could do something but no. They suggested i take it to an authorized repair center. So i ordered this Viewsonic VX2433wm 24

I work with spreadsheets all day long. I got tired of scanning back and forth with my older CRT. Now I can see a much wider area of my worksheet all at once with great clarity and definition. I was also greatful to get rid of my outboard speakers because this monitor has them built-in.

I have owned several ViewSonic products starting with CRTs. The VX2433wm is a great monitor but what is even better is ViewSonic customer service. I have a 19 inch ViewSonic LCD that is almost 3 years old. This LCD had a power supply failure. I contacted ViewSonic support and provided the serial and model numbers. The warranty was honored without question. This is the primary reason I prefer ViewSonic LCD's.
