I bought this monitor because I have purchased this brand in the past and was very happy with that monitor. Although this monitor has speakers, you won't want to use them for very long but you're not giving up much by not using them, the value is in the picture. Better than medium contrast and great refresh rate (2ms!) makes this a super value for the $199 I paid. I do graphic arts for 10-12 hours a day so I need monitors that are easy on the eyes. Absolutely no flicker or lag at 60mhz refresh (I'm running a dual SLI with two 1gb GPU's) so the monitor more than keeps up with the rest of my hardware. The added fact that it's a full 1080p and has HDMI input, it's perfect for taking a break and throwing in a movie on my Blu-ray drive. Incredibly versatile monitor. You can spend more money on a monitor certainly but this screen is a huge value and hard to beat. ViewSonic makes their living making monitors, they can't afford to put out inferior monitors.

Take an HDMI cable and a PS3 or XBOX and slap it on this monitor. It's a blast to be able to switch inputs from VGA DVI to HDMI, from PC to PS3 and play away or do something on the computer.

This is my second Viewsonic monitor. I passes my 19 inch on to the family computer, and this lovely 24 inch of eye candy is in my office. Have yet to try the HDMI with a DVD, but hope to soon.

this thing is crazy i dont use the speakers cause i have surround sound but the dang size of this thing is incredible and the price is cheapp never had a problem with it just set the resoloution when you get it and its ready to go perfect

Wow what a deal on this monitor $60 instant discount great deal. Monitor is top notch great picture fast refresh rate if only it would have shipped in a timely manner.... 11 days after i ordered it they said it was now on back order and I would have to waite 5 more days till it shipped and 3-8 days for delivery so I waited around 22 days to get it

Had this unit for about 60 days and it has performed way beyond my expectations. Perfect screen and accurate color performance. I have never used the built in speakers as this CPU has a great external sound system so can't comment on that. All in all - Great value for the price- only wish I had purchased another one before they went out of stock.

Bought 3 of these not too long ago. Two are perfectly fine and the other has a frozen pixel. One thing I noticed about these is the picture is darker on the top than the bottom. I am a graphic designer so it was easier for me to pick up. I wouldn't suggest these for designers but I would suggest for everyday use.

This monitor is great for the price. This is my first 24 incher. I love the fact that I can multitask using this wide monitor. It also performs great while playing video games. Overall, this monitor is a great deal for the price.

A great brand with a reputation for quality and my experience bears that statement out. I've been a computer user for over 20 years and I've owned many Viewsonic products and found them all to be exactly what I was looking for. A quality monitor that will serve my needs for a long time to come.

No problems in over 5 months of use. I have not connected the speakers. The tilt feature is very stiff and I hesitated at first to apply the necessary force to adjust the angle, but it does work with care on your part.

Decided on this since my 12 year old ViewSonic 17GS is still working well. So far, so good. Outstanding picture quality. Huge change from a CRT. The speakers aren't that great and the stand is pretty basic but both can be replaced.

Working as a professional video editor, Viewsonics have been the cornerstone of high end workstations. Bringing two of these home was icing on the cake. Get a graphics card where you can hook up to the HDMI port and you'll see what the fuss is about. Fantastic clarity and sharpness. Best part; TWO HDMI modes (through the monitor INPUT options)! One when using the PC and the other if you want to watch HD...all on the SAME monitor. Speakers are what they are; good for online video viewing but not much else...want to hear real cinema sound? Buy a stereo system! Value is incredible and shipping was TWO days from order. Awesome!

I bought two viewsonic monitors for my small business and both monitors worked for 6 months and after that it was one problem after the other. I had to call 6 times to get an RMA the first time. Then the brightness went out and the monitors could not be adjusted for brightness or color but they said it was not bad enough to repair under warrenty and I would have to wait until the screen failed completely. Its been hard to use and impossible to do web design. Now one has failed completly one month after the warrenty expired and the other has horizontal lines in the picture from the light bulbs it seems. I paid 400 dollars for each view sonic monitor and the 99 dollar cheapies I bought to replace the viewsonics are working perfectly. I would seriously think twice before I buy a viewsonic product ever. The customer service is terrible. They could care less that I spent $800 and there monitors only lasted 6 months. I paid the shipping for repairs and they took there sweet time as well.

First time with a wide screen monitor and loving every moment. Price was just in my budget. The only feature on the weak side are the speakers. They aren't visible in the front and I can pretend they don't exist. Once again, great shipping. Ordered on the weekend and it arrived through the APO system to me by the end of the week.

Four Viewsonic LCD monitors since 2001 and only one dead pixel speaks to Viewsonic's consistent great quality. This new 24'' is no exception with no dead pixels, and the wide screen is awesome for graphics and 3D apps. The only complaint is the lack of height adjustment on the stand and no wire organizing clips as with all earlier Viewsonic monitors previously purchased. A small bug to be sure, and it might even be that the simpler stand helped keep the price for such a large widescreen to under $300 ... but this long time affectionado of Viewsonic would have appreciated the stand on this monitor to be a little more adjustable. Shipping is the best always!
