Works wonderful. No troubles. I bought this drive in 8ቫ񳏇. So it has been working for a though. No complications. Place this in my moms pc and she still hasn't filled it to capacity. I really like Western Digital. I have utilised a seagate in an external drive but I favor Western Digital.

I wanted to enhance the capacity of my external enclosure from 80gb and wanted to go as low-cost as doable due to funds limitaions proper now and this fit the bill I know and trust western digital have utilised their tough drives for over 10 years now and always get rid of beforethey die except the moment when got the uncommon lemon out of about 20 drives I have pourchased I feel one bad 1 is minor problem and of course got it replaced very quick by WD. I use in a USB enclosure so do not get complete speed but do get a lot for my backup desires I have partitioned it to four partitions and use each and every 1 for unique personal computer backup and it works wonderful for it none

I bought two of these for a mirrored RAID and they have been operating perfectly for about two years. I have always had very good luck with Western Digital. I can bring myself to obtain/try a different brand. None

Wonderful value at the time, often responsive Only lasts about 18 months. I wish it was just a fluke, but i have noticed as well many caviar blues show up on my workbench to consider it's a one off point The caviar black and caviar green are solid, reputable drives from a reliable manufacturer who had a misstep with the blue series

Just got these so I could step up from a 2x Raid to a 4x.Have had no problems with these drives and the older drives are the exact same model. Excellent for the value and far more storage than the typical particular person needs. None for the value.

Low-costRather Quickly.Space for Price.Quiet (but that might be due to my loud fans....) five.9 in WEI.320GBNot Preformatted?No "Buy one, get one cost-free" deal :) I put this into my Initially construct and I wasn't truly expecting something spectacular, I looked at the size and the price and just hit "Add to Cart" button then moved onto the more "important" elements. I was considering obtaining one more HDD to set up my first RAID configuration, but decided to save up and acquire a large capacity SSD later on.

Great speed.Runs Cool. None. I bought this as a information drive for a tiny server build. The consumer wanted low budget rapidly drive that was reputable. This unit works fairly effectively.

i accidentally bought this instead of a 500GB seagate barracuda..but i decided to give it a attempt..and man am i GLAD I DID!! this drive is a champ. it reads/writes/loads more rapidly than the other 3 barracuda's that are in my method. and it is a lot cooler than all 3 barracudas. fantastic drive for the value. i have a lot of space with 4 difficult drives lol none at all. just plug in the drive, go to device manager, tough drives, intialize it, and then format it. and you are excellent to go.

Ehm, It works... Does what it has to do, absolutely nothing fancy. nothing a lot to genuinely talk about.. ITS A Challenging DRIVE! i hope that assists? :D none so far, but iam affraid i may possibly encounter some in the future since not everybody liked this product.

Very good price for lots of space. 4 occasions what I had ahead of. The item was shipped to me with no typical boxing, nor was their any manuals or any other information. Of course I did put two and two together but as somebody who was a first timer when it comes to pc assembly, I didn't appreciate this.

It functions.Initialized and formatted without having incident. As opposed to other and older WD tricky drives I own, this one particular runs noticeably hotter generating it a poor option for use in cramped quarters.While it is relatively quiet and exhibits no operational flaws so far, I would not buy yet another due to the heat concern. Normally, WD drives price a small more for comparable capacity and speed.I expected superior and I won't buy another- at least not in this series.

Excellent challenging drive! Great cost per gig, what more can you ask for. The cache could be a bit a lot more... but hey the cost is appropriate. Fantastic drive for novice systems or any other kind of method that needs a storage upgrade :D

Worked fine until i went on vacation for a week, got house and technique wouldn't boot on power up. Pulled HD and unplugged it then replugged, gave it a few bumps and got it to boot and work for a couple of days, believed it would be fine but it failed absolutely now. DISAPPOINTING! Hesitated to buy WD due to repeated failure issues with nearly Every single 1 i have ever bought, but got talked into it by a "geek" who stated he sees fewer WD failures. But sheesh...got burned once more!! I should have bought Seagate like I planned initially! WD has an OK warranty assist program for failed drives, but I would rather not have to deal with issues with HD's like I have with their merchandise.

Western Digital has a great reputation for creating good quality challenging drives. Have to be handled by individuals from the factory to the end user.

excellent speed - about 85 MB/s on common, no bad sectors, don't hear it, but have 7 fans in my tower, which creates some naseline noise anyway. didn't fail great deal more than newegg. Will report if fails.

Great budget challenging drive. This drive is quick, and quiet - and will get the job carried out. Not as rapidly as a Caviar Black, but I wouldn't hesitate to use this drive in a customer personal computer. I wouldn't decide on this drive in a top of the line personal computer, or a gaming rig. I also wouldn't use this drive if I necessary a difficult drive that was very rapidly for use with software that is difficult-drive use intensive.Obtain a Caviar Black if you want high performance, but this drive does properly for all-objective use. Can't beat it for the value. Not the fastest drive out there, but surely not the slowest. Excellent warranty, quiet, gets the job performed. I'll be using this drive once more for hard drive upgrades on client computers and/or a budget storage HDD choice.

I have two of these in RAID and they have worked excellent for over a year now... Windows 7 x64 desires me to come across a device driver for these and they don't exist. I've tried receiving drivers for the STRIPE, Controller, Deleting Array and using only 1 of these, still absolutely nothing.I dunno if its the harddrive or what, but attempting to install Windows 7 apparently isn't working for a lot of individuals and no firmware assistance for this HDD isn't helping...
