Vast improvement in performance over previous EARX model Comment: Great as a secondary or backup drive. Not the fastest drive, but it's not meant to be. Fits the role it was designed for exceedingly well. No problems getting it to work under windows 7, after creating a volume and formatting. Also very quiet.

I used it as my boot up drive due to budget constraints, but it starts up lightning fast compared to some of my older pcs. My girlfriend actually recently had a harddrive die after only a year or two. So she did the same as me and bought WD just to be on the safer side for the next few years.

Slow compared to 7200rpm drives but reliable & efficient. Good price & nice and quiet.

Very quiet, much quieter than my WD black drives.

The drive is quiet but slow it will head park to save power then spins back up when you access it. No problems with it not even a bad sector.
