C'est vrai qu'il est plus petit en taille que les autres. Mais cela se fait au detriment de la qualite ;-( Ainsi pourquoi avoir mis une prise de cable differente des autres modeles et qui ne matche pas avec les anciens ?? En plus ce cable ne tient pas bien et les deconnexions sont tres faciles. Enfin, cote transfer, 24 Go transferes en 80 minutes contre 19 sur les anciens modeles... Il n'y a pas photo. Dommage

I am very happy with this portable hard drive. It is perfect for my Wii with USB Loader GX.When I first opened the package and pulled the hard drive out I was impressed with the size. Given the storage capacity I am unlikely to fill the drive given my usage.

I wanted a portable drive that simply backs up another drive. The software included with this drive catagorizes your files and you are not able to get around this at this point. See the issues on the WD website before purchasing. Mine is going back.

I found this drive very slow, and the usb cable that connects to the unit is not the best, i think the older connection was better on these older drives, other than speed and the connection i guess its ok..

Awesome product for $100. No problems whatsoever. Plugged in and it was flying. It is slim and very easily portable. You cannot go wrong with Western Digital product. I've been a customer for several years and never disappointed. I'd recommend it to everyone.

I have several of the 400gb previous version of this drive and you can pick up the drive by the cable if you wanted, this drive loses connection if you touch it!

Got this as a gift. Used it right away with no problems. Windows 7 recognized it quickly and right away started backing up 300 gigs worth of files into it. Have had no problems with it. I am pleased with the quality that Western Digital has produced. As for the other review, I had no problems with the USB connection. Maybe you need a new cable.

Great looking unit that works straight outta the box without a prob. Only hiccup is it's WD software that may not be user friendly in Vista. Tried it in XP and it's working like a charm.

HDD as itself not bad, as well as performance when it works. Recently it start giving me headache. This HD will hang up your system if the connection between the USB port and it's own cable is not firm. Couldn't be corrected. I have 2 types - the old one type is WAY better.

This is a great little drive for 100 bucks! I'm not a fan of the gloss black because it shows every scratch but it's not a problem as this sits by my wii. Comes formatted to ntsc and for 100 bucks you cant go wrong. Great drive for holding all your info or in my case wii games. This review was modfied by poster @ 11-26-09 01:53 PM

I bought the 250GB version of this hard drive about 8 months ago to replace my failed memory stick. It has been extremely reliable, portable, and useful. I have unfortunately already filled it up but I'm going to buy a 1TB express hard drive by western digital because I have been so pleased with it's results. The only problem is it's a little slow, and sometimes when it is plugged in it is improperly read and gives me a good scare by saying it has not been formatted, but after rebooting it it works fine. I run a private computer repair service and I recommend this hard drive to all my customers. Buy this product, you won't be disappointed.
