Was able to lower the CAS to two.five, Functions fine in a dual channel setup with a Essential stick. I have purchased like four or 5 of these, I ended up RMA'ing 2 of them, they had been DOA. I ought to have two gb right now but I am only using 1. Nevertheless waiting for my ram. I lowered the CAS to 2 and comp wouldn't boot. But it is running at pc3200 I will decrease to 333mhz and see if CAS two will work just out of curiosity .. next step .. up the voltage? but I dont want them to fry!

Beautiful pricing, low-cost shipping, functions fine in my consumer's Pc When shipping tiny items, NewEgg opts to use UPS/USPS or DHL/USPS. This is a bit convoluted and extends the general delivery time. As well bad NewEgg just didn't ship by USPS directly. I know for a truth that turnaround would be considerably faster. Generally test your memory in target Computer. I use Memscope V1.ten (Micro 2000) and/or Memtest86+ for low level testing. It Ought to pass at least 1 cycle otherwise it is returned. Faulty memory and/or incompatible memory can make your program run poorly-worst situation scenario becoming a BSOD.

Inexpensive, does the job. None for the low-demand home desktop. Purchased it as an upgrade for an typical Dell basic desktop (web-surfing, workplace work, not significantly beyond that). Did the job improving efficiency. Physical good quality is fantastic, install is uncomplicated, worked for over three months now without any issue, no program conflicts or memory errors in each Windows XP or Ubuntu 8.04 Linux (wich operates more reliably on this slower machine).

Appears like a good price tag... My 512MB stick failed, and subsequently caused my XP system to reboot in a loop. Removed the RAM and all works fine once more. Wouldn't trust this RAM ever once again...

Bought in Feb 2005, this Wintec 512MB Stick of DDR 400 has pushed my gaming rig flawlessly via tremendous amounts of programming, gaming, college assignments, DvDs, burning, and incredibly frequent use. I've never had a problem, and would suggest this product to any individual with related method specs to my personal (see my other thoughts for specs). Definitely extremely suggested. And thanks to Wintec for a dilemma-free of charge error-no cost knowledge for the last 3 years. After 3 years, I peeled this point out of my machine to dust it off. Whilst it was sitting on the desk, my wife waltzed across the carpet in her socks and picked the stick of RAM up by it's keyboard to look at it. The static buildup could have contributed to the truth that when I place it back into my machine in the similar slot, the machine no longer recognized it till I changed slots. Hardly the RAM's fault (and this certainly would not stop me from getting precisely this product again), but it's the only challenge I've ever had with it. No real complaints. It's inexpensive, it's apparently quite rapid. My FPS in CoD4 was ㅄ-20 with some geIL ram, 1.5gb, bought 3 of these and FPS jumped to 50-90.. had errors in MemTest with the geIL but this RAM did not repair crashing I was getting in CSS despite no MemTest errors after ㅂ hours none -> Other thoughts Dual Channel? My BIOS doesn't indicate regardless of whether it is or not... I don't see it anywhere on the specs right here or on the website... Can't envision non-dual channel getting faster?

For the money you can't beat this ram. Installed it on an ECS Objective 3+ mobo that I employed for an upgrade for a consumer and with the ram that came eith the mobo package it created for a rockin upgrade! Not for this sort of funds! Can't think of any, except glad to have yet another happy customer specifically in this economic climate. Oh, and thanks Newegg for the good offers and quickly shipping. Way better than the so named "wholesale" distributor I deal with.

Used it in a Foxconn 661GX7MJ-H motherboard, functions fantastic for a word processing / world wide web surfing computer. Almost certainly not the best ram for gamers. Utilized a different stick of this to upgrade the ram on a Dell Dimension 2400, works excellent.

Utilised a pair of these to upgrade a Dell 8300 to 1 GB RAM. Shipped to the In-Laws right after I got tired of hearing how slow their Pc was. Mom In Law popped them in herself with no troubles. Systems runs substantially better now and can deal with that 512 MB RAM AOL Software footprint. Doesn't operate with my Dell 8200 (darned high priced RDRAM)
