works good
Comment:
works great for 35mm and slides. if your trying to use the old 10mm negitives (50's thru 70's) you have to adjust the neg in order to not cut off the heads of people. does not work for 110 film nor the really large neg's (40's), but overall am very happy with the results. you need to have an sd card, then this xfers to your pc. great to be able to share the old negs with extended family. well worth the $$$

easy and fast. Much better results than the scanner that I was using. the only fault is it incresses the contrast. that can be corrected in the computer. I would recomend this to anyone. The price is right too.

memory maker
Comment:
This unit does not provide high quality copies of slides. The shadow and highlight details are lost. The exposure and colour are so so. Dust is a problem. However, it is easy to use. You can set it up in the family room without a computer and copy slides during a commercial (8 to 12 during a typical commercial). You end up with so so copies of slides but you also end up with a great copy of memories of times gone by! I will never look at my slides with a projector again but this device allows me to visit old memories on the computer. If you don't care about great quality, it is a great, easy to use machine to relive old memories. It does freeze up at times, but just unplug the power and then plug it in again. I am glad I bought this unit. My flat bed scanner, while offering better quality, is too slow and I would never get around to scanning my 4000 slides.

Fast and Simple to use.
Comment:
I got this unit for Christmas and so far I've scanned 980 slides and 85 negatives, it has frozen up 3 times but all it takes is a restart to get going again so it's no big deal. I've used a flatbed before but it is ridiculously slow, like almost 1.5 min each where the Wolverine is 5 seconds, The quality is acceptable I will run 8 holders of 4 through and then give it a quick shot of canned air to keep it dust free. It works excellent and I highly recommend it. I had just finished and my buddy was waiting to borrow it already. I think this is going to be a very popular item.

Wonderful Product
Comment:
I purchased this product to transfer my thousand or so slides into digital format. I was a little skeptical about the quality I would get but decided to give it a try. I am super pleased! The transfer process is easy and quick, and the 4mg jpgs. produced are excellent. Of course, there are some problems with some of the results, but they are not problems due to this product. Many of my slides were dirty. Apparently there is a product I'm not allowed to name available to clean slides, but not in rural Manitoba! I used a photo program to clean them up and all is good. Bonus I had many Black and White negatives in storage and discovered that the Wolverine can convert them to positive jpgs. I'm 62 years old and had no problem setting up and using this little gem. One small glitch is that occasionally the machine stalls out. I discovered that by simply unplugging it and restarting it, it would go for another at least another 100 pictures.

no support - quirky, but valuable product
Comment:
Returned first one as it froze; second one froze but less often. Slide tray is warped. Great concept, iffy software, still needs to be rebooted often, and the company never answered my tech question. STILL, if you get a good one, it is well worth the price especially if you have lots of negatives and slides to convert. I'd buy another one based on its usefulness not its ease of use.

Just scanned over 300 images. Very easy, very quick. The colour on the scans at times seemed a little washed out but the resolution was very acceptable.

a realy bad poduct
Comment:
I am very disappointed. Just trying to get it started one has to unplug and plug it in 7 to 8 times, even then it won't start correctly and you have to do more fiddling. For the most part the end results of the slide scan is un unacceptable. As far as I am concerned this scanner is a piece of doggy doo doo. THIS SCANNER IS NOT MONEY WELL SPENT.

Good little film scanner
Comment:
For the money this is a very good scanner. It creates a 1.06mb file and if the slide or negative is good, it will give a good result. As all have said costly scanners take a long time to scan but this little gem only takes 5 seconds! If you are working on a lifetime of slides negatives, it would take a lifetime to copy on a costly scanner; this one will help you capture those images on an SD card quickly.

My Wife Loves It
Comment:
I bought this as a Christmas present as she wants to go through our 3,000 slides and convert them to JPEG files. We have tried two flatbed scanners claiming to be able to scan slides and they were sloooow! She says this is extremely fast and the JPEGs I have seen are excellent considering the slides 45 years of age. We recommend it to the average person who wants to scan their collection.

negative scanner
Comment:
Is a good scanner you cannot ask more for the price. Flatbed scanners are labor intensive. This works fast about 5 sec per negative. You need Adobe photoshop to touch up the digital file. The main problem is that it locks either at the beginning or in the middle of your work. You have to pull out the memory stick several times until it behaves correctly.

A very good deal
Comment:
I think this is a very good scanner Cheap enough and scans good enough. I've used flatbed scanners and they are labor intensive. This works fast about 5 sec and u have slide scanned and saved on card. Only prob is it locks up after a few slides but then shutting down and starting over goes on ok.

This product was disappointing
Comment:
This product was disappointing. I bought it, tested it and now I'm returning it. It does the minimum of its job description: It scans stuff. Does it do a good job? Not by any stretch of the imagination. Image quality was poor and the scans were unbelievably dirty right out of the box. I literally unpacked it, plugged it in and scanned 2 very clean slides. The result was of rather poor exposure and incredibly dirty on top of that. You can't get inside to clean it.

Great product without needing computer
Comment:
This product works great and is very simple to operate. It is perfect for my 83-year old father to capture over 50 years worth of slides without complications of needing to learn computer. I can take the memory card and transfer safely to my computer when it is full.
