XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:MIR, cable sleeving, non-modular.
Pros:Very cheap, decent quality. Comment:
Flippin' cheap, yet very decent power supply. Price matched to $59 plus a $20 MIR, you've got a winner here. Unfortunately, this isn't modular and it comes with so many cables that it is actually fairly though to route all these so the left panel of some cases may properly close (e.g. HAF 912). Speaking about cables, their sleeving is actually of rather poor quality. I accidently damaged one on a slightly sharp corner of a video card... I also had trouble with some slightly angled pins of a molex connector. Looks great, works great. |

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:* Lack of High Temp Capacitors* Bulky Cables
Pros:* Solid Brand Name Comment:
The cables come out of the PSU in a large bundle, which one expects in a non-modular power supply. The cables are well sleeved and seem to be of decent quality. The manual and box differ with regard to high temp / high quality capacitors that are supposed to be part of the XFX " Pro " Series. Either way they conclude that the caps in this unit are not solid electrolyte Japanese models nor are they life rated at 105 C but rather at 85 C. Kind of lame.I purchased this unit based on two factors, cost + brand name. It is for an office machine and needs only power a very modest setup, but it needs to do so without issue for several years. So far it has met my expectations, but nothing more. |

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:nothing
Pros:good quality and good price Comment:
good quality and lots of ports, pin and sata power port, so you can power your old 4 pin hard drive or new sata hard drive. I hate the rebate. if you want to get the rebate, you have to mail the rebate form,Orignal UPC Barcode lable and copy of receipt/invoice or packing list to them, it means that I have to spend some money to mail the documents to San Diego, CA, USA , so I can get 10 dollars gift card. why they can not accept it from email? I give up the rebate. |

Cons:Short 4+4 pin Cpu cable
Pros:Cheap. Clean Power.Better than corsair at price range. Comment:
Great power supply. My only qualm with it is a short 4+4 had to flip my psu fan down just so the cable would reach.Other than that the PSU is made by seasonic. My Build:Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3FX 61008 Gb ramHD 7870 |

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:LOTS of Cables
Pros:LOTS of Cables Comment:
For a cheap build it seems non-modular is always the cheapest. However the mass quantity of cables is definitely annoying, if you can deal with that, get this, if you can't...go modular, because it's a mess. |

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:quantity of cables
Pros:build qualityoptions Comment:
Ok so I use this in a Fractal design 1000 and the number of cables makes it cluttered but with some creativity you can make it work. I run an A10-5800k, ASUS F2A85-M Pro, 16gb 2133mhz, Lg lightscribe dvd drive, 750gb, 1tb, 200gb, and 320gb hdd's....if I could afford it I would have gone modular...cause the number of cables is crazy...but I got it to work for now anyway.. not my number one choice for mATX build but it will work.. |

Powering an i5 with a 6850. Very solid power supply and reasonably priced. OEM is seasonic, who are considered to be the leader as far as PSU manufacturers.Highly recommended for mid/high computer builds. |

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:- Rainbow wires- Sleeves are improved from before but can still see through them slightly
Pros:- Attractive price- Nice asthetics- Quality Comment:
- My brother was using a corsair 500w builder series before this and cause his 2.1 speakers to buzz 24/7 for some odd reason. This power supply suprisingly fixed the buzz, even though that wasn't the reason for purchasing it! Good price, althought I don't like "rebates" |

XFX Core Edition PRO550W (P1-550S-XXB9) 550W Power Supply
Cons:not modular
Pros:Quiet. It works. lots of plugs. Comment:
Has been working fine so far. is providing enough power for my i7 2600k oc'd with 6 hdd, dvd, 2 ssd, ati 6870 and 5 120mm fans. The PS fan is not audible while running the case fans at a low setting and cpu + vid card under full load. The only minor negative is that installation felt tedious because of the large number of cables. However I am pleased that after connecting 9 drives there are still plenty of sockets and power available.Really good deal r 45 bucks (after rebate) for a 80plus bronze seasonic manufactured p.s. 5 yr warranty doesn't hurt either |
