XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons:-No rear exhaust.

Pros:-Decent enough card, especially for older games.-Price ($20 on sale! Crazy!)-Not too loud. Not like my last card.-Lifetime Warranty
Comment:
Card seems to be working well so far. For the price, I can't complain! Plays tons of older games just fine. Also plays newer games on low or medium with exceptional framerates. (And that's what matters)Overall very happy. It's a perfect backup card for when your main one burns out. Also great for gamers on a tight budget.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons:Bsod, artifacts, no ram sink, mir

Pros:Price, performance, quiet hsf, 350w requirement
Comment:
This is a really good bang for the buck card if you are looking for a cheap htpc/lite gaming card. For htpc situation this card is perfect as the hsf whispers at auto fan speed. For gaming, I was able to do extreme settings for starcraft 2 i 1440x900 with 30 fps with e6500i3.7ghz 4gb ram, which is amazing for a budget card like this! But after an hour of playing I will start to get artifacts and sometimes bsod like others have mentioned. It is not entirely unfixable, the card is just not properly cooled and there is no ram sinks to cool the rams which often is the cause of artifact. By cranking the fan speed to max helps getting rid of the artifact and the noise is bare able while gaming. I am sure adding a aftermarket cooler would solve bosd problem on my card and yield some more performance by ocing it. For me spending another 30 dollars on a 30 dollars card is just silly, your better off with those bfg gts 250 they had for sale couple of weeks ago.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons:Thickness of Metal. Wide.

Pros:Price. Looks. Packaging.
Comment:
This card is great for the price. Perfect for an average user who needs to take the load off CPU or who needs expansion ports for video output. Perfect for HTPC/Desktop, but not for dedicated HTPC. Double wide is OK, but can be trouble.Packaging is fantastic. Building quality is good, but metal a bit thin for me.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons:initial crashes

Pros:price, performance when tweaked
Comment:
I got this card and I really was pushing my PS but tired it anyway ( ya it was a lame PS I got with the used box). I upgraded the PS as step 1 and wanted to anyways for bigger and better things down the road ( another great NCIX sale item on the new PS).So I still saw freeze up and crashes both in Widnows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04...hmmm. doing some poking and I found you need to tweak the performance config to MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE in the Nvidia control panel and set your Power Options in Windows 7 to High Performance ( not a value listed by default I might add). All is good now , solid system , good graphics ( a major step for me but not really a dual card bleeding edge deal but I am not a gamer)Let see if it lasts now

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: very bad quality

Pros: good gaming performance.play COD black ops very smoothly with high setting on 1440X900 before graphic crash
Comment:
System random freeze up with some strange pixels on screen when playing 3D game COD black op.Then got blue screen reboot.Tried to clean install different latest drivers and installed it into other 2 computers with 450W PSU, it still didn't work. Got replacement card, same issue.Put my previous card back, working fine.Had to get refund.Don't buy.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: Isn't very powerful... You can play the games on low/medium settings at 1080p.

Pros: Price to performance ratio is impressive with the 30$ MIR, bringing the price down to 35$. Also, even tho the free COD 4 game was not advertised at the time of purchase i still got it in the box with the card! (:
Comment:
If you need a inexpensive card to do some mild gaming, look no further.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: - unstable, driver crashes often- seems to have problems with some internet video (even when hardware acceleration removed)

Pros: - cheap- doesn't need additional power
Comment:
I installed the latest and there were non-stop driver crashes every few hours and video bugs constantly, this just from surfing! (just the browser page would turn black for some reason). I installed some older drivers and it seems to have fixed some of the visual bugs, but driver still crashes and has problems with some internet video (e.g. doing fullscreen will often result in a black screen till I press Escape to go back to windowed).I googled and noticed a lot of other people seem to have problems with stability with this card. I missed my 15-day return period unfortunately.I posted a review with 1-star for this, but I guess it got deleted. Some of the negative reviews here might not have made it through?

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: MIR

Pros: Single slot cooler, good price performance ratio
Comment:
Got this to upgrade an older machine. Cheap after MIR, although the MIR knocks it down one star in the rating from 4 to 3.The after MIR price/performance ratio is excellent in comparison to other cards you might commonly find at this price level (gt210/gt220) now that it's being cleared out. This little card also pumps out 3 to 3.5k PPD in FAH, so it's a reasonable amount for the cost.Put this in place of an old x1950pro. Uses slightly less power, is single slot compared to the dual slot x1950pro, and is a lot shorter so it fits into the silverstone sugo mitx case a lot nicer as well.Overall, it's a decent card, but it's definitely past it's prime, so the card gets 4 stars, but the MIR drops that to 3 cause MIRs are just a PITA.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: Dual slot

Pros: Quiet, cheap
Comment:
I bought this card as an add-on PhyX card. And it simply works. It doesn't require addition power, and runs very quiet. But it would be the best PhyX card if it is a single slot design.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: Had trouble removing the protective film on the heatsink cover - but I'm old and my eyesight is failing a bit.Actually at this price there are no weaknesses at all.

Pros: Good performance for a budget card (more so with MIR)XFX top notch warranty & support.
Comment:
If you can catch it on sale, get it. The lack of 1GB on this card doesn't hurt it too much, IMHO.The card I received was sealed, and I have not experienced any issues with the card. I did have to download the latest drivers from XFX. During the install there were some issues during the initial run, but when I rebooted all the drivers were installed.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: can be loud at times

Pros: Great budget card, slim profile
Comment:
This is a great budget card, I have had friends who recommended this to me. However, this did not fit my case so I had to return the card. I have used this card on other machines. It can get a little loud, but not really noticeable over the sound of the game/headphones. As usual, the nvidia drivers are fantastic.

XFX GeForce GT 240 GT240XYAFC Video Card
Cons: Didn't actually pull the trigger on this so can't say much.More memory and GDDR5 maybe but you get less features for the cheap of course.

Pros: Great price when PM'ed, I say jump the gun!
Comment:
Never did get this due to a change in order but after PM the price is actually very good for a GT 240! Great budget/HD media card.
