PSU has a lot of room for expansion. PSU comes with a lot of cables. Is easily able to power every little thing in the Computer. Fan has a slight, but quite annoying rattle inside it. I have owned the PSU for 1 week now, and the rattle is receiving louder by the day. It is intermittent, not constant. I can make the rattle temporarily subside by briskly tapping on the side of the PSU, but it will return ten-15 minutes later. Overall a superior PSU, it's unfortunate about the rattle although. Though the rest of my Pc is fully silent, the rattle is annoying enough to cause me to shutdown my Pc at night, and play music if I'm just sitting on the Pc in a quiet space.

It supplies the power needed at a very good rail for overclock, at least so far. Modular is nice and cables are nicely produced. The fan sometimes makes a clicking noise. Normally hear it at boot up or shut down, from time to time through norm use. I think it is causing my CPU to run higher temps due to the fact the fan from PSU is blowing down onto my 9700. It is the only cause I can think that my temps went up a good four-5 degrees soon after installing it. My old PSU truly blew the air out the aft of the unit. Old PSU was a junky Cool Master 500w that I was afraid could not deal with overclocking. Plus it wasn't modular which this 1 is and over all this is a pretty nice PSU. I am going to solve my temp problems by reinstalling in a new Cool Master Storm Sniper.

It functions and powers up my system with no complications. Supposedly it is a rebadged Seasonic with some Computer Energy & Cooling Silencer parts inside. Also just received my rebate check currently, less than 1 month following mailing it. It is the fastest I have ever received 1. A couple days after I installed it I heard the clicking noise that others have mentioned. I took a look at the fan and couldn't see anything obvious. I pushed down on the fan mount and it stopped instantly. It appears to be just not secured extremely properly, but I haven't heard a single noise out of it in practically 2 months. Certain, there are very a couple of pros to this power provide. Not that any matter once you hear the fan start out clicking... Negative FAN! You have been warned. I ignored all the evaluations, and bought it anyway. On its way back to Newegg tomorrow, sigh.

this supply works but the fan makes a very loud clicking noise, just like numerous of the other feedbacks here state. If yiou will be utilizing this supply in a noisy environment then ok, otherwise I can assure you, you will regret that you bought it - even if the cost seems very good. seems to work properly, has super duper fancy packaging fancy packaging + LOUD clicking fan = I wish I never ever purchased it

Good packaging Loud fan. It makes a rattling/clicking noise. Don't they test these prior to going out? Now if I wanted to RMA this thing, I'd have to ship it back to XFX. It's quite heavy too. Don't know what I'm gonna do with it now. The power supply is the loudest thing in my system. -_- Manufacturer Response:The fan on this power must not be loud. Please get in touch with our support team at xfxforce.com for help receiving it replaced. Thank you.External Link(s): XFX Assistance|

Working perfectly. Operating overclocked gtx 460 with out a hiccup. Haven't heard any clicking or anything, it dead quiet. My very first modular psu and it makes the case appear definitely neat. The nice huge fan is exhausting the air out of my case, cpu temp has dropped a couple degrees. It's a truly good power supply. Couple inches longer then my old psu but if u truly need that a lot power, you are in all probability gaming and have at least a small mid-tower case and not a small junky micro-atx dell or hp case. Hope it doesn't get that clicking fan noise. Looks and feels like great quality(also made by seasonic). Box didn't have any dents, mine was packaged pretty safely. In no way had anything defective from newegg. Are other people today just unlucky?

awesome packaging~ item failed to function immediately after couple of days of underload usage! luckily my other components did not get destroyed. This item came has a mail in rebate and newegg does not accept replacement for items which the UPC code has been removed to be submitted for mail in rebate. That is not newegg's fault. However, as I was contacting XFX and stated clearly that my PSU demands their service and nonetheless they told me to send it back to my supplier which is newegg.WAKE UP XFX! The mail in rebate is provided by XFX and but, XFX still doesn't realize the standard policy? come on! If XFX is reading this(XFX emplyee), do not think that this is some misunderstanding. I have the e-mail that XFX support sent me that asked me to send it back to newegg.AS I said earlier, MIR MIR MIR! you guys supplied the MIR and I submitted it! and u asked me to send it back to newegg for replacement of this item!

Fairly, looks nice, HIGH amperage on it's 12v rail. All the connection I require, and the cords never ever came up short (mid-tower). Would've been nice to see the dimensions in the particulars. Gotta love modular, even partial. Also, this PSU was actually made by one of the most reputable organizations in PSUs. So don't go thinking it's any worse than a Corsair or Antec.

This PSU seems like excellent product, but I will agree that a little closer attention may possibly solve future poor critiques. Modular cables are fantastic. The fan is dead quiet, but so was my last 1. Good packaging, but no bag covering the PSU. Single rail. The 8-pin MB connector came up a small brief, but i was able to flip the PSU over to gain the length I needed. Watch out for this if you have a full tower. Most full towers permit for different PSU configurations. I would have liked to have observed the other CPU energy connector modular. I gave this item a thorough inspection as I opened it and I'm glad I did. I found a modest rubber O-ring stuck to the fan, so I employed a really precise pair of tweezers and removed it from the blade of the fan. Perhaps this is what the other individuals had and that was the clicking noise they noticed. At least now there is not a suburb of a "rat's nest" of cables in the bottom of my case.I7 920 (stock)Asus P6T D V2 x58Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 6GBXFX 5750 1GB320GB Raid , 500GB backupLG DVD SATA BurnerAntec 1200 with 7 120mm, 1 200+mmthis PSU

Modular is great. I love not getting a bunch of useless cables cluttering my case. It looks fairly cool, I guess. Initial thing I noticed is what other people noticed - the fan is obnoxious. It's produced a slight grinding noise from the begin, like it's struggling. I was willing to overlook this, though, mainly because the cost was very good and as long as it IS working, it's not a huge deal.Second factor I noticed is that it's a horrible PSU. From the second or third day I put my rig together, it would randomly fail to turn on. I'd push the power button and the lights would come on, but the HDD wouldn't even spin up and the computer system wouldn't turn on. I don't mean that it wouldn't boot - I mean that it wouldn't turn ON. No beep codes, absolutely nothing. I tested every single component individually and it's this power supply. I have my rig on a UPS, so there was no power concern on my component. What a waste. I contacted XFX and of course they'll replace it...if I pay for the shipping back to them. Why need to I? I'm not the one selling junk. I can't return it to Newegg because I stupidly cut off the UPC to send in the rebate. Terrific.

Works as it really should, very quiet, temp is not poor at all. Installed this with a new video card XFX 5750 and they are both working like a champ. I was a small worried at first that it would have some irritating noise associated with the fan soon after reading some of the reviews here so I gave it a very thorough inspection just before installing it and everything was as it must be. Here we are on my 2nd week and it's as quiet as can be. It wasn't cost-free, and I can't get a BOGOF or 1ǘ off. I have a mid-sized case and from time to time it was hard connecting the cables to their suitable connector immediately after you had the PSU connected to the actual case. May want to connect every thing to the PSU prior to screwing in the PSU to stay away from running into this kind of difficulty if you have larger hands like I do.
