XFX Radeon HD 4870 HD-487A-ZWFC Video Card

Great Card for Great Price. Enough for most of the games and applications out there. Have no issues so far. However, still gotta do my rebate for this card and another product.

I recently bought this card to replace my Diamond HD 3870 1GB and never thought I would buy a non-reference card, but the $149 price tag and $20 MIR sold me on it.After much research I knew that these cards can cause a lot of grief due to their lack of ramsinks and the poor cooling for the vga, so I also picked up some Enzotech BMR-C1 and some Arctic Silver Matrix compound and went to work.I first installed the card and at stock I ran 3d Mark Vantage and actually got just over slightly double better results from my old 3870 1gb which I thought was very impressive by itself.After OC-ing the card to 780MHZ and 994Mhz vram only using overdrive, it was stable, but hot. Temps ranged from 78-86C under full load for the cards main temps, and vram being the hottest at 86C.It ran smoothly the entire time except when gaming with full Video quality. The card constantly throttles the MHz down to 600 during area/scene loading and would games would crash.After taking off the vga cooler and custom cutting each of the Enzos with cutters, applying the Matrix and re-installing, the card lost nearly 12C on all major GPU temps and most coming from the vram.If you do buy this card, do yourself a favour and buy the Enzos, it will save you a lot of headaches.. Even though there is a double lifetime warranty and XFX is friendly to modders.It's almost like they pump out the best they can for as cheap as they can and let you decide on how you want to cool it. And to me, that's pretty damn sweet!Thank you XFX!

These cards are still more powerful than both the 5700 series and the 5850. The only tangible downside is the lack of Dx11, but by the time it's widely adopted, you'll be looking to upgrade again anyway. Unbeatable value at $140.

At the time of this writing, I think this card gives you one of the best performance/price ratio. With the IR and MIR, there is no better value - get two of these!

gaming is amazing with that card. You can play most of the game at a resolution of 1980 + thats nice. Download the drivers from the manufacturer's website before playing with it.

In searching for answers to my freezing issues, I have found a number of people reporting the same problem with 4870s but not much in the way of solutions. I have reloaded WinXP, tried all kinds of Catalyst versions and even upgraded my PSU from a 500w Antec to a 650 Corsair. My old card has no issues when I swap it back in. I may just have lemon, but I do now regret the purchase. I am hoping I will still be able to RMA it.

Great card for the money, my first ATI card ever and I am very happy with it. Runs all the latest game at 1680 x 1050 with 8xAA without a hiccup. Idling power could be a little better but not really an issue for me.

Awesome graphics and performance at the same time.I got this today and Im rocking the s... out of MW2. The only con is that it gets a little bit hot but with a good heatsink the problem is solved. :)

I did buy this graphic card october 29th morning from NCIX and received it october 30th in the afternoon from UPS.First thing, you require at least a 450Watts power supply. It comes with 2 connectors, each one convert 6PIN to 2 standard molex to connect to a power supply without 6PINs connectors, it's the case of my power supply which an Orion 585Watts dating from 2007. However, the instructions tell that they do not support a connection to molex, that the graphic card should be connected to high performance 6 PINs connectors only.I did choose, howerver, to connect using the 2 - 6PINs/2 molex convertissers, so it takes 4 molex connectors from the power supply, it runs fine, I hope I will not have any issues later.I did buy this graphic card to run Borderlands. Borderlands requires at least a shader model 3.0 graphic card, a thing my old X800GTO could not handle.Despite some benchmarks saying that the game run better on Nvidia graphics, my new 4870 handles the game without a single lag with medium settings. I did not try the highest settings yet, anyway the game is really nice even at low settings.

Best card I have ever used! I'm a hardcore gamer and this puppy blew my mind! high fps on even the most demanding games. If your in the market for a outstanding upper mid-range for gaming or 3d cad but are on a budget this IS the card you want. an outstanding product! P.S. Don't forget to have adequate power connectors available. it needs 2 pci-e connectors or 4 4pin connectors. (it needs some significant juice but its worth it. I suggest the 750 watt ultra power supply if you don't already have an adequate power supply. )

akaddict, your other hardware is slowing this baby down. I'm running a Phenom II X3 720, DDR3 1600MHz with plenty of case fans. This card makes Left 4 Dead perform flawlessly. In fact, some times the FPS jump from 60 to 61 or 62 during gameplay because the card just doesn't like being slowed. I play at 1600x1200 with everything maxed. Other games, like Bioshock... are freaking beautiful at extremely high settings and running smooth.

It's simply impossible to beat that, more than ever at this price :O !! I've bought one for my boss cause his GTX9800 baild himm, and now he's loving this card !!!

Bought this product, shipped within 2 days, Fast delivery! Not what i expected from this product. Upgrading from a XFX Geforce 8600 GT, in counter-strike Source I still get an average of 40-60 FPS. Not much of a difference from this and the Nvidia. Id say stick with Nvidia Because also I heard this card has alot of problems with WoW. Complains about getting 5-10 FPS in Darwan? Pretty Good card still for buisiness not so for the average Gamer.

When I first got this card I was extremely happy with it, for the price how could u go wrong? Great performance for great value. But when it came to hooking it to my LCD tv it was another issue all together. In the end it could of been driver related, but after having a evga card for several of years with no issues I had to return it.

I upgraded from an old geforce 6600, and the difference is fantastic. The price was definitely worth it.

This card is one of the best current deals in video cards. Benchmarks show it even with the Geforce 260, but this card saves you roughly 50 dollars. Put this in my rig and loving it. Only Crysis stuttered a little bit, which was more than likely caused by my processor speed (2.9ghz). Great card overall, have the hdmi hooked through my lcd tv, it sends audio as well, huge plus for media pc's

Well first of all I'm very happy when I got my new video card I test run it on Gear of War and Bioshock WOW...!! This card kick butt almost highest setting 1920x1080p Samsung 40'' both games ask a lot on these games from having XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX Video Card 256MB DDR3 it's big change for me and gaming I'm be ready for Crossfire baby one more these cards its on now when I find out that XFX made also ATI I was so happy there Double Lifetime Warranty you can't beat that thank you so much tiger for having these video so cheap I will be buying for know more
