Just wanted to attempt this out and evaluate to a megahalems. Results are with an I5 750 overclocked to four.2ghz 1.375v (my motherboard has dual slotted holes for each 1156 and 775 coolers) Both coolers put the CPU idle temps appropriate about 40c, however load temps had been a distinct story. The megahalems topped out about 72c using prime95 smaller FFT and this was with two 120mm fans in a push/pull.The Xigmatek approached 85c soon after 2 minutes and brought on 1 core to shut down due to instability from the added heat. I rigged a 120mm fan to support aid airflow, temps topped out at 82c but at some point soon after five minutes of stress test one core when again shut down. Really should be a a lot very good cooler for any dual core CPU, but when it comes to quads this cooler falls short of very good air cooling by a decent margin. This would also be a plenty adequate cooler for any Athlon II (even a quad) as they run fairly cool compared to Phenom II's.My guidance is nonetheless to pay บ a lot more for a megahalems.

Fits EVGA 780i Board with northbridge fan installed. Receiving 38c idle and low 50's under one hundred % load on quad core. Incredibly really and effectively made. I feel i got my income's worth. Massive and heavy but very good base tends to make it sturdy. If your final results are larger than 38c idle maintain tightening down the screws. I thought I had it tight enough when installed but got bad final results at initially. Tightening down the screws more got the benefits other individuals had currently posted here.

IT does the job, stock 60C to 40C beneath load and from 40C to 30C idle on a AMD Athlon X4 stock speed. As most have stated it's cooling performance is underwhelming. This is mainly due to poor fan placement and airflow. I would advise removing the shroud and hooking up two fans blowing towards the center. This really should raise the performance by really a bit. It's a fairly great cooler and it performed relatively well.

None.. didnt use it WAY too massive This factor is ginormous! You would will need a gigantic case to fit this factor.. Plus id be afraid to have it in my tower with it sitting vertical as an alternative of horizontal.. that it may fall down.. not worth the funds

Actually Good CPU Cooler, it keeps my CPU operating at amongst 35 & 45 C. Now all I need to do is spot a fan over My Gpu heatsink to hold my mobo cool. None so far. I like the design.

It's a LOT superior than air cooling. It does NOT compare to a normal/standard personal computer liquid cooling program.I would not even look at this a 'REAL' water cooler, because it's not. __Do NOT purchase this expecting it to perform like a Real water cooling system__ I've been water cooling and over clocking for years. CompTIA A+ certified.

This factor is a true champ!! I have been operating a protein-folding simulation application on my AMD Phenom II Quad 965 BE (average 34% busy all cores) for a tiny over a month, 24x7. I have Never seen my CPU spike more than 55c (my average temp at this load is 52c)! This point is genuinely Amazing! If you want to defend your CPU, this will do it...if you set up it effectively! (yes, I purchased this from Newegg) None, just FYIs: 1) Demands lots of space/airflow; 2) set up memory sticks before attaching the mounting bracket (arches more than closest mem slot) to mobo; three) install mounting bracket before attaching mobo to tray/case; 4) spend close interest to air-flow path arrows when installing; 5) use Good thermal compound. This cooler probably wouldn't perform also properly in something other than a complete-sized tower. It demands LOTS of airflow inside the case to let it function proficiently. Also (as other individuals have pointed out), make sure that you have it oriented correctly (it has air-flow path arrows on the cooler - spend consideration!) so that it exhausts directly toward your case's rear exhaust fan. Make sure you use a Incredibly thin coating of thermal compound (I strongly recommend item N82E16835103059 over the "popular" brand or the stuff included with this unit).

It works but if you have a actual hot chip like me (Presscott Socket 478) its not going to do the trick ..I get better cooling with the vantec aero cooler magnetic tip cooler None really its not for your veteren more than clocker !One factor its supposed to mount so the air flow goes side to side and out the back, mine only mounts up or down so the air flow hits the power provide or the video card, its not for me was affordable sufficient to test out even though.... I will try it on other cooler operating chips and post once again

Cured my over heating complications fully. Soon after five years my stock cpu cooler just wasn't cutting it anymore. Fan was wearing out and becoming noisy. It also wasn't cooling very effectively so I upgraded. Proper to the prime with water cooling or so I believed. Great create good quality and extremely sturdy! Doesn't really cool all that properly. Temps weren't dramatically lowered like I thought they would be. I guess I was expecting a little much more. I'd have been fine with the old cooler if I'd have simply place new Arctic Silver five and a new fan on it. In addition this unit demands two fan sockets on the mobo. 1 to drive the fan and the other for the pump. I need to have anticipated that but I didn't. Not a huge deal for me since I had a free of charge 1 but for some people this might not work. Make confident you're aware! It absolutely performs although there are much less pricey, less complex choices out there. Every other water system I've ever noticed needs typical service. I hope this 1 doesn't mainly because the manual makes no mention of it.

Phenom 9950 BE quad core OC'd to three.0Ghz at 1.33V and it keeps it at 37c at idle and 53c below load. I applied Arctic Silver five and it's only been a day so the temps must drop a little after an additional day or so. The fan is pretty loud. I could hear it more than the 7 120mm fans that I have in my NZXT Zero two situation. So I set up the smartfan in my bios to run the fan at 50% at 40c. So though idling I can't hear the Cooler, but can hear it beneath load. On the other hand, though gaming I can't hear it more than my speakers. All round for the price tag I am rather joyful. At stock speeds my processor was getting to 59c below load therefore the reason I purchased this cooler. Now I have it more than-clocked and haven't been in a position to get it more than 53c with strain tests or bfbc2.

Was shocked how this factor was in a position to cool my new AMD Phenom II 955. OCed to three.8ghz and kept my temps 48c (low)- 52c (high) involving all four cores. The suprising factor I didnt even spread the Artic Silver 5 effectively on the CPU. I just dropped some on the center and put the XIGMATEK on top rated smooshing it out. I was too exciting attempting to get my monster program up and operating. Here is an additional factor, though redoing my wires I forgot to plug back in the fricking pump. With no pump running on stock clock my temps went up to 63c (low) - 68c(high) when I realized this immediately after five minutes later I pulled the plug quickly. WoOSH ! Plugged the pump back into the board's pwr fan termina, turned it on and the temps dropped back down to standard 35c - 40c among all four cores. I know I can get these temps down reduce if I put the Artic Silver 5 on adequately just to darn lazy to do it now. Think me I had my doubts reading from other negative posts on this cooler. The only true CON is that if you break the seal you void the warranty, meaning, when the liquid that comes currently inside of the radiator evaporates, you will have to break the seal to fill it back up with coolant soon after a year if you make it to a year. So technically they dont want you placing something else inside other than what comes inside currently. People complain how huge this factor is, I bet they are trying to squeeze it into a mid-case. Properly OF COURSE it will be big. Get a Complete tower and its appropriate at property. Make certain that the word "Airflow" is ideal side up ie your airflow is going to the back of the case exiting out of the case. Make confident that on the oposite side that your case is finding sufficient coold air. You are not going to geet suficient cool air in a mid-tower case unless you are tunneling it. The XIGMATEK has its residence in a Full Tower case. So those of your with mid situations your going to hate life if you get this CPU cooler.

The only pro about owning this heatsink is to be capable to say that you have liquid cooling. Huge and bulky, only cools my cpu to 48c at idle on an AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb three. overclocked to three.67. My finned heatsink keeps it at 38c idle. If you're searching to have liquid cooling spend additional and get a full liquid cooling setup, I believed it could be great to attempt for the money but it's not.

good factor that it fit into my xclio godseed advanced two case with no any issues, idle temp is reasonable low at 23c with my phenom ii x2 550 and it is significantly superior than that small aluminum block with a fan on best it is quit massive and heavy didn't know if my motherboard would be powerful adequate to support it vertically.

Performs really properly. The cost is ideal. I recmoned this product it definetly lowered my temps by about 10-20 degrees. Mines a small loud and one hundred% RPM. Says right here that max fan RPM is 3200 䔮% RPM. Mine runs at 4200 RPM at 100% and it gets a tiny loud. No major deal tho just use a fan controller and turn it down to about 60-75% and it tends to make a big diff in the noise. Acquire this!

Ok so this just drops the CPU temp down a little, but what will truly cool down your stuff is Peltier Modules, they get hot on one side and cold on the other and when u add a fan to the hott side you get colder temps. Quite Straightforward. Also do your homework prior to putting in!!! none none

THIS Issue TOOK THE DEFINITION OF COOL AWAY FROM FONZIE. cools my E6300 wolfdale at 25c thats ten much less oc to three.four with my 120 fan on it. If you have the space I would very suggest this item. so don't flame it if you don't have enough space for the smallest mid-size tower in the planet.... none its large but I was expecting that but it fits in my case fairly effectively even with the fan on it.all other water cooling systems are massive and like 350kbil and this 1 is for a quite excellent value.

The Xigmatek AIO-S80DP is one particular of the greatest coolers I have ever used. Despite the fact that this is my initially time into water cooling for the value of 45 dollars and a ten dollar rebate I couldn't resist to acquire this even if it would be a total failure. My cpu temp has dropped from 30C idle to about 21C in a 21C space. My load temps I have not noticed anything hit over 38C and on my stock cooler I would see 46C at least. I am running all of this on a Asus Crosshair AM2 board with a 3800+ 65 watt processor. My laptop or computer can now overclock to three.0ghz devoid of the be concerned of my laptop or computer locking up from excessive heat or restarts! It is a bit massive and blocks my 1st memory channel, but that should be expected possessing the Asus Crosshair. Also I had to bend some heatsink fins on my motherboard for the cooler to fit. Good product!

I have no AC and summers get hot, but this keeps my cpu cool. I had to move my ram to the other two no cost slots. The listed dimensions don't give a superior thought of the actual footprint, so a test fit is required. I had no dilemma fitting it inside my full tower, even with a side fan.

ş pro is the after mail in rebate price! I def suggest acquiring it for such a low price.Water cooled and the pump seems to do the job. Add much more fans to the unit and you have a great cooling setup. The integrated fan can get loud and does not place out sufficient air even at the max speed. I ended up putting yet another two 80mm fans on the outdoors to assist with the air flow. I also elevated the airflow in my case to get my temps down. Phenom II x2 560 @ 4GHz, 4GHz, 4GHz, 3.8GHz 1.54v 59c soon after 30min occt modest.I'd really like to see how a 120mm version of this cooler would do.

This cooler appears to function nicely, but I'm a little upset it hangs more than the two dual channel memory slots on my Biostar 790GXE 128M mobo,it also weighs a ton,but it's liquid cooled so thats a offered.Make sure you orient yourself with the direction of the airflow.I haven't even ran it nevertheless so I can't give it a terrible review nevertheless. The pure size and weight of this cooler is kind of a bummer, but what really stinks is that it over hangs the memory slots.make positive you have a backplate for the moboard,I'd hate to see what it would do to a single hanging upright.
