The stock heatsink had my CPU at 45 idle and 57 during heavy usage, now is 35 idle and 45 heavy. Make confident you have sufficient space in your case! Appears amazing

Full copper construction, large fan, reasonably quiet (I'm not somebody that minds a personal computer that makes a little bit of noise), does a good job of cooling, though could be far better. Important main problem with mounting to an AMD AM2/AM2+ socket, the clip took a tremendous amount of pressure to get clipped, and then when I had to try and take it off 6 months later, soon after a poor top quality XFX board went negative, it was properly impossible to take away and the mounting bracket wound up broken. I've enjoyed Zalman merchandise in general, but this bracket setup is incredibly poor and has me searching for options - don't you guys know that you often have to take a heatsink OFF again? Seriously. If you're positive the heatsink will never ever have to come off, I'd say go for it, it's a bear to get mounted but runs quite properly as soon as it's on. If you anticipate to ever transform the chip in your current board, forget it.

it cools my processor ! It's so noisy! It sounds like somebody is flying a remote manage plane in my back yard. Seriously ! I keep looking out the back window. Then I look down and comprehend its my Computer! Emailed ZALMAN with no reply. Can't blame newegg they didn't make it. I have narrowed it down to a off balance fan causing vibration. If you like that BUZZZZZZZZ sound obtain 1. Newegg send a message and send all of your stock back to them. they dont respond to RMA or Consumer assistance. Manufacturer Response:Dear Value Client,Pleaes make contact with our RMA department through www.zalman.com concerning about this difficulty, thank you.Sincerely,Team Zalman USA

moves sufficient air in my new Antec Mini P180. quieter than the stock Intel E8400 cooler. uses screws to hold it to the mobo. ECS mobo won't let me check temps unless i use the bios. i got this soon after i noticed the stock cooler was very easily knocked loose although digging in my case, and then found out it's a discomfort to get back on tight. i didnt trust the stock cooler to stay on by itself any longer. Zalman uses brackets and screws for a much more secure hold down and gives me "peace of thoughts"

Keeps cpu COOL! Easy installation. Looks fantastic. Needs motherboard removal but most coolers do. Ordered with totally free shipping and recieved in 1 day. Thanks Newegg.Tested on Q6700- P5Q-E. Overclocked to 3.06 ƙx כֿ fsb)Initial i installed a Zalman CNPS7000 to compare it with. Idle temp 33c, operating 1-instance of Prime95賓% (temp 53c), running four-instances of Prime95賓% (stopped test ᥁c following 5min.) Temps were nevertheless climbing.CNPS9300AT, Idle temp 23c, operating 1-instance of Prime95賓% (temp 31c), running 4-instances of Prime95賓% (temp 38-43c) average 41cExtremely happy with this cooler. Tested with the fan set at max and it is no louder than my case and power fans. Temps taken with ASUS Probe.

This is a great fan for somebody generating a system for a relative and utilizing a smaller case. It will fit pretty significantly in any application due to the extremely tiny stance in comparison with other coolers. Cools really nicely with proper thermal compound application. This heatsink/fan runs very loud when the fan is spinning at near-maximum speeds. It will overpower even some higher end graphic card fan noise. If the end user is only surfing the web, working with media player, or watching films... this factor can be set to lower or smart settings which will maintain it adequately quiet.[Your Bios Seetings ought to allow you to modify the way your motherboard controls this fan, refer to your users manual] A different quality product by Zalman. I would only recommend this in smaller circumstances if you have to use this fan mainly because of it's tiny size.It is not quiet if you are running full load.Really simple to install. You won't want an S Clip if you wantto reverse the installation as the supplied retention clipsfit either way by means of or not by means of the heat pipes.

Seemed to do the job as a heat/sink fan, CPU temp was about 29c at idle. Lighter than previous version 񣾜), superior mounting bracket. Looks cool. Way too noisy, at 'all' speeds, which includes low rpm 1500, noise was tonal most likely due to PWM but still unacceptable for anybody attempting to make a reasonably quiet Pc. Tone was not just loud but annoying! Even the stock Intel fan has a much better tone. Utilized with Asus P5Q Deluxe motherboard

surprisingly versatile considering that its shape is oblong and massive i didnt think it would fit proper but it does with no ubstruction the people at zalman are performing some thing appropriate one more excellent product i have it installed on a asus k8v x w 754 newcastle amd 64 its simple to turn even though seated so the shiny copper surface got scratched so its advised to put the mounts in between the tubes with the smallest gap so it wont be able to swivel on best of the cpu so easily but not worth a lost egg may well not fit in compact set-ups but it fits effectively in nzxt gamma case

Attractive. On sale w/free shipping. Even in silent mode, the fan makes an irritiating grinding noise. Minimal cooling advantage over AMD stock fan. The AMD clip mount is a PITA! Even with AS-5, the 9300 dropped my cpu idle temperature a not-so-impressive 3 degrees (from 32c to 29c).The AMD mounting clip is extremely poorly thought out. What, doesn't Zalman know that even the stock AMD coolers use a _lever_ mount?!Particularly disappointing is the sound of the cooling fan. Even at 1150 RPM, it makes a noticeable irritating sound. The stock AMD cooling fan at 2100 RPM is quieter and smoother sounding.5-stars for NewEgg's Consumer Service. Seems to maintain factors fairly cool. Directions had been tricky but not terrible. Noisy noisy noisy. It does sound like 1 of those small model airplanes you fly out side. Even at the slowest speed. Really should have believed the other reviews. Possibly not a major deal for gamers but for a software program developer, sitting subsequent to it all day is not going to cut it. The search for a quiet AMD athlon x4 cooler continues..

Nice cooler. Dropped my temps by 25 degrees. Was a snap to install and use. PWM is awesome. This cooleris also considerably lighter weight than numerous. Fits inside thesuggested weight spec of most mobo manufacturersalso. Slight noise to the cooler when operating at max, but heyso do the case fans.

Had a heat problem and necessary some thing to make sure I by no means had one ever again. I have a Raidmax Tornado case and didn't have a lot of vertical or horizontal room (had sufficient depth) to spare beyond what the stock cooler had occupied. Though I was tempted by some other coolers, it seemed they would all either jam into my exhaust fan, power supply, or conflict with the capacitors surrounding my CPU.This was ideal. The "square" brace you see that holds down the clip to mount your unit really raises up between the corner posts. This allowed it to raise up above all my capacitors. (Asus P5QL Pro LGA 775)Maintain my room warm and the cores stay at 38 while running high-tabbed Firefox sessions, a number of messengers, voip, iTunes, and some workplace apps. Increases at most 5 degrees throughout intense gaming. Drops to 38 pretty much quickly after I'm finished. Nothing that wasn't do to my getting new at installing this sort of cooler. I did NOT find the fins too sharp, never cut myself once (and I have major, occasionally clumsy hands) and can\'t envision how any individual can.Wish there was some type of perpendicular segment to the brace so I could be certain the unit wasn't slightly "twisted" on my cpu? Lined it up fairly precisely, but I'm a perfectionist. Warning for any person with ram slots somewhat close to your cpu: Could want to use the S clip included with this rather than the tension clip. I prefer the latter since I know it's putting the correct quantity of tension with out me getting to do a lot. Even so, the clip's finish that extends more than one of the side pegs extended too far and I've had to move my ram more than. Not a difficulty at the moment when I have just four Gigs in. Even so, I plan to expand to 8 sometime and, unless I'm seeing four gig sticks of 1066 DDR2 for not too costly then, I'll have to remount this with the S clip rather.Nothing wrong with the fan although.Ordered at noon on a Tuesday with rush processing. Employed the totally free shipping. Arrived the subsequent day. I live in rural Texas. As usual, Newegg, I could not ask for better service!

Idle temps of 40-37-37-37 C with an ambient temp of 32 following hours of Prime95 load tems stay below ㅹC using Arctic Silver five on my Q8400 overclocked at 3.2GHz (stock voltage񳈰MHz FSB)On leading of that it looks sharp too! Small play in the clip and installation was not as appearant as I'd like. (tried to use the AMD clip the 1st time, lol) Universal AMD/Intel bracket conflicted with my motherboard heatsinks (an ASUS P5E Deluxe)...had to take a dremmel and the wire clippers to get clearance, but it did fit eventually. This isn't a 120mm tower cooler, so don't expect related efficiency. I wound up not employing the silly fanmate, instead employing PWM and my motherboard. As to claims of "loud as an airport" my only responce is "NUH UH!" Possibly that consumer's model was defective? In my Antec 300, the GTX260 is louder than all my case fans and this...and it's supposedly ឝdB.

Cools extremely properly and looks good. Effortless install. New Egg and Zalman RMA's are great. I have to agree with Jimmy Swan's post above. This factor has a pitch that will drill into your head after a though. Due to the sound, my wife was in her workplace and asked me if my personal computer was having concerns . I have to close the door not for the music but for the fan! I am disappointed. I was searching to create a some what silent computer. Yes, in silent mode it makes noise. It is like a slower version of the full speed sound. However; It is almost worse. I had the opportunity to swap out the fan with a new one but it did not assist. Noise is just associated to this "silent" CPU cooler. If you have head phones or are difficult of hearing you are going be fine. 1 egg marked off for the noise. The second egg came from the box and internet internet site telling me that "on silent mode it created no noise or vibration". MB: Pq5 Delux CPU:QX6850

Fairly quiet. Excellent cooling!! Lightweight! Has brought down the idle temp of my x6800 cpu from 39ኄ C to 34C! Load temps have likewise declined from 55C on Full load to 50C...that's it! It doesnt cut the grass for me? None! You have got to purchase this. Take a few minutes to study the instruction and practice putting the clamps on. Really very good cooler that is light sufficient no to break your motherboard.

Quiet but powerful. Secure mounting. EZ install on Asus p8p67-m micro board in silverstone tj08 micro atx case on a intel 2500k. None. I like to see where my pennies are going when I purchase a cooler and the vibrant copper looks cool. Fits intel 2500k 1155 socket. Comes with tube of thermal paste.
