Light Weight, Low Noise, Fairly simple to install - no need to have to take away the motherboard fantastic for restricted overclocking. You will need to have a larger unit if you want to tension the limits of overclocking. In installing this unit I would practice a small 1st ahead of applying the thermal paste. For an Intel chip you 1st fasten a bracket and then attach this cooler through two little bars to the bracket. I avoided a mess by attaching the cooler to the bracket in a trial run and then disassembling it, applying the paste and then reattaching the cooler. Due to the fact this cooler is fairly modest it fits most cases and is quieter than the original Intel fan. It also cools far better, lowering the temperatures by at least ten degrees C more than the stock cooler on my ASUS P8P67 LE MB with i7-2600K CPU operating at 4.1GHz. (Keeps temperatures below 60 Degrees C on prime95) I'm ok with this but if you want additional cooling you will have to get a larger cooler and perhaps a larger case to hold it.

Cools properly. With an Athlon II X4 635 (at stock) in an Antec 300 Illusion case (with all fans on low) I went fromɌ (idle) and 47 (load) degrees C more than ambientto4 (idle) and 27 (load) degrees C more than ambient. That appears like a massive drop for what is a fairly small cooler. Not certain if my expectations had been too high for a 92mm fan, but you will hear this factor. I did not think I would hear it over the case fans, but I do. This is saying something considering the noise of the fans in my case. This mentioned, it is a lower tone than the annoying buzz of the stock cooler. I may well play around with limiting the fan due to the fact it does get pretty loud when it spools up.

Installation on AM3 sockets was simple! Ran prime95 and saw a 15 degree drop in temps. Went from 50 to roughly 35ish on full load on AMD 640 operating OC'ed at three.3GHz. Nothing!

Not a negative fan for the price. Does a great job inside reason. If you are going to permanently OC I would devote a little more for a 120mm resolution. 1 of the finest mounting styles I have noticed so far. Straightforward as cake. This fan is not that fairly, and has a considerable quantity of vibration. It's great on the slower speeds but if you are going to run on max prepare to hear it. My last 775 cooler pretty much silent at full speeds. You just can't beat 120mm cooler Go for it it if you need one thing superior than the OEM cooler. Looks very good and doesn't take more than your case. Set up your fan control in the bois and run it 50% for a stock clock rate and adjust your limits. At 50% my temps in no way truly went more than 42C.

1) Simple install, you don't have to remove your motherboard. NO clumsy back board clips or something. [took me 1 minute to install this coolerΤ) Lowered my idle and load temps by 25 degrees [CELCIUS]. I have a 2500k clocked at four.two ghz @ stock V and my temps in no way break 65 C while operating P95 for hours on finish.-Previously with stock cooler at the very same config/test I saw 90c three) Comes with thermal grease.4) Its not Enormous like other coolers. Its height won't be an issue or its foot print.five) The Heat Plate is perfectly Flat [no rocking] and the conduction scheme is properly thought out. The heat pipes don't have just some cut out on the bottom of the heat plate there is a significant conduction plate that integrates into the heat pipes. Incredibly good! [go to newegg tv and appear this product up. at twoᛗ you can see what I mean. ] 6) Cost. its low cost -@ time of invest in ฮ none none

Really impressed. Quite quiet and really useful. I have a AMD Phenom II 955. Stock cooler had me at 40C idle and 59C rendering HD video after 10 minutes. Now after the install I am running at 38C idle and only 49C under full load. Installation is a breeze. None. Make confident you do the thermal paste appropriately. Read up on it, don't just dump it all on there, there is a science to it. BTW I employed artic silver five.

The Zalman heat sink was particularly straightforward to install. I’m extremely impressed with the PMM auto-control method which allows the fan to speed up when the processor is hot, or slow down when it is cool. Cools incredibly well. Hydraulic fan bearings. Very impressed, 5 stars. None

So fast and effortless to install in about 15 minutes. Just plug it in with push-pins and clips. I'm so glad I didn't have to eliminate my ASUS P8P67 motherboard :)It keeps my Intel i7 2600K three.4Ghz CPU below 130F even when gaming. So it went from in the 140sF with the stock heatsink/fan to the 120Fs with the Zalman. Nice. The attached 90mm fan spins at 2,000RPMs.No difficulty fitting inside the Midtower case either. It even comes with the thermal paste. None so far... This Zalman CPU cooler is a step above the stock heatsink/fan that came with the CPU, but the larger and far more complex CPU coolers are possibly additional powerful. All I wanted was something much less costly and simpler to install and this Zalman worked out perfectly. Higly suggested.
