-Simple to understand directions and basic installation-Heat pipes raise fins high enough to clear motherboard heat sinks-Monster cooling. 2C cooler at idle then my water cooled program, 2C hotter at full load (still, is this air cooled?) It's hugeLED is dull in the intense, may possibly be a defect, but I don't care it functions so nicely I'm not sending it back Fits in my HalfX with room to spare. Make sure it fits in your case.

Quite Quiet, Other fans in situation combined are louder.Temps keep low, tension test with 2600K OC'd to 4.5G stay beneath 60C Would like to be capable to turn off LED, For reference, as I was not specific till following almost everything went together, Fan will operate fine with a Sabertooth P67 board. four Sticks of ram have lots of clearance. If you have an 8in wide situation, this will fit inside no challenge. Mount for this fan has a back mount bracket, if you adhere to guidelines, and install it properly, this tends to make a extremely secure mounting technique.

-Excellent cooler. Looks sharp, style is best, coloring is wonderful.-The block is super flat, no imperfections.-Bracket is fantastic for just about any socket.-Great big fan.-Subtle LED's. I don't want my situation to act as a spot light.-Width and length are excellent, does not block high memory sticks.-Remarkable COOLING. I utilised Arctic Silver five, and it has had no time to set-in yet. Even with no set-in, I see idle temps of 25-26*, and load temps no greater then 42* for the total CPU. -Bracket is tricky, and honestly could be developed much better. If you have a little bit of intelligence you can figure it out, but it does call for a lot of pressing, though it guarantees great fit and stability.-Fan can be loud, but idles fairly nicely. Not the loudest I've heard. -CoolerMaster HAF 932 | Zalman CNPS9900MAX-R-AMD Phenom II 955 BE @ four. | Asus Crosshair IV Formula-G.Skill Ripjaw 8GB DDR3 | Asus EAH6870 1GB-Zumax X4 750W | VisionTek Bigfoot Killer 2100-WD Black 500GB HDD x2 (Raid ) | Essential C300 64GB SSD (OS)-SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty | Sennheiser Computer 350-Logitech G15 | Logitech G9x

-Quiet even at complete speed-Split Fins make it much easier to clean dust verses to older 9700 & 9500 versions-135mm Fan is perfectly balanced for smooth rotation enabling for no noticable shuttering-Thermal Grease included is fantastic quality for Standard Computer use and Mild overclocking -Universal bracket performs properly but I would like to see 2 separate brackets, 1 for AMD and 1 for Intel. Getting a universal bracket with all the additional fins sticking out does not enable for a flush fit on the backside of some Mobo's. Not a big deal to some, but can trigger troubles for others that have smaller circumstances exactly where the backside situation wall rubs against the Universal bracket.-James Franco ought to in no way be permitted to host again! All round this is one more hit from Zalman. I have stuck with them for four years now and have applied them in builds for others. Anything from the packaging to the Nickel plating is incredibly effectively believed out. I'm still running the Zalman 9700 on my Socket 775, Q9650 Gaming computer at a four. overclock for the final two 1ǘ years with no complications in cooling or efficiency. Now its time for my New Gaming Pc develop and this 9900 is a ideal fit for Sandy Bridge.

looks like an arc reactor from Ironman. cools like crazy... on the stock heatsink I was running 37°C at idle, place this issue in there and it dropped to 26°C. super quiet. can't hear it more than my HAF 932 case fans AT ALL. installation kinda sucks, had to pull graphics card out to get the mobo loose adequate to get the backplate in.instructions could be better, especially the photographs. took fairly a bit of staring at them to figure it out.the red LED in it is in the middle of the fan, and its not very bright, but it looks pretty ominous in a tinted black case. this issue is Enormous. take the mental picture you get of it on the web page, multiply the size by four and you are pretty close. this thing is as large around as a two liter bottle of soda and nearly four inches thick. definitely not made for people today with smaller instances.

Sweet ! install could not be less difficult, effectiveness could not be greater... substantially smaller sized than V8 and perfect, super QUIET operation. no way If you bother to read the manual from page 1 you will not have any issue (orientation is spelled out). Did not use the resister, definitely no need to have, this runs like a dream and the fan is inaudible. The 2600k has by no means observed 60 degrees C and generally runs below 45 (did hit 58 on a 5 minute stress test) with fan at 30 % ... now have fan a 55% min and haven't seen over 50 since, still can't hear it.

This thing does cool very well and I'm surprised its not more popular. I have no problems inserting and removing RAM in all 4 slots of my motherboard. On a tightly spaced mATX board the cooler is still about 3/4" away from my video card. I was surprised by how quiet it operates. Its not a perfect cooler but I would buy it again. - Honestly, I purchased this for the looks, and it indeed looks incredible. I trusted the evaluations right here and on other websites that its cooling capability is a lot more than sufficient enough.- In my opinion, the brightness of the red LED is perfect and matches the case fan LEDs. Not too substantially to interfere when watching a movie, but vibrant sufficient to light up and display my sweet searching setup :)- Much quieter than the stock heatsink fan supplied with my CPU. My graphics card makes additional noise. Even though the installation directions have pictures, and for the most part are very detailed, there were a couple of actions I was a small confused on. This is my 1st following-market place HSF, so perhaps these installs get easier the a lot more you do them. I had been using the stock heatsink fan on my 1090T for a month just before I got tired of the loud fan. It also didn't appear very nice in my case, so I decided to replace it with this one. I'm incredibly pleased with the selection.I haven't checked the temps, but I trust that they are in the norm. Regardless of whether or not they are much better than the stock fan is uncertain, but I would assume that they are greater. The reviews here at NewEgg and other sites have been much more than outstanding, which also lead to my acquire in the finish.Construct:CoolerMaster HAF 932 Limited EditionCrosshair IV FormulaAMD 1090TG.Skill Flare ƒx 2GB)Important SATA III 64GB SSDWD AV-GP HDD 500GBASUS 5830

Comment:
Actually keeps the CPU cool. Took my three.25Ghz overclocked AMD Phenom II x6 1055T operating at 56C on stock cooler to four.0Ghz at 39C! This is at full load employing AMD's Overdrive stress tester operating for around ten minutes at 1.445 volts core. Idle temps are five degrees over space temperature. Fan doesn't start off spinning at power on. It tries to turn but fails in a silent twitching action for the initially minute or so, and eventually does come on when temps commence to go up, but there's so considerably surface region to the heat sink itself that even with no fan the CPU stays cool. This is a defect, and I wrote Zalman an e-mail about it with no response in the last five days. As soon as the fan begins operating it continues to run normally until power down. All in all, I'm debating about RMAing the factor. It was a pain to entirely disassemble the clear acrylic case I have this installed in to get rid of the motherboard and CPU backplate. And I figure I'll shed the dollars for the Arctic Silver I used. If I never hear back from Zalman, then I could just keep it and in no way buy one of their products once more. I employed Arctic Silver thermal paste rather of the included paste, based on other critiques and I've used Arctic Silver for years with excellent results. Go with what you trust. If you're installing this, and get confused about how they want you to install the included two sided tape, go to their web page. They have a excellent video that shows you precisely how to install it. The printed instructions are brief and not apparent. Manufacturer Response:Dear Value Customer,Please go to our web site at www.zalman.com to file a RMA and you may get in touch with us at 714-530-0700. Thank you for your time and patience.Sincerely,Team Zalman USA

Cons:Little bit noisier then some might accept but running it at lower RPMs fixes that. I little expensive but hey, its nickle plated copper. No Aluminum here.

Pros:Low temps, cool look and can used RAM with taller heat sinks.
Comment:
This thing is a solid piece of work. It is one heavy piece of copper and does it's job very well! My CPU remains at more then acceptable temps even at full load. I was able to use Corsair vengeance RAM and the cooler did not get in the way. This thing runs a little loud at full speed but if you use the inline resistor and run it in "silent" mode, it is pretty quiet and the difference in your temps will change at most by +2 C. Lastly, this thing doesn't look like a ugly cube sitting in your case. It's got a nice design and a soft glow from the LED fan.

Cons:Poorly designed backplate, tall, design is a bit dated

Pros:Unique design, very quiet, LED isn't overpowering
Comment:
I picked this up, but then had to return it because of their backplate design. With Zalman they use a combination backplate which has the 'wings' for both the Intel and AMD fastener points. The problem was that for the board I was installing (ASUS P8Z68) the unused AMD wings poked out and we sitting on top of a heatsink screw from the shipset heatsink on the motherboard. I could have taken a dremel tool to it, but I just didn't want to take the chance a metal shaving might somehow sneak past and onto the board. Not to mention that I shouldn't have to do that.Putting aside that aspect, I actually like these heatsinks. The design is unique, albeit a bit dated. I have another one, the CNPS9700, and I was quite happy with it. While this is not a heat sink to use when overclokcing, if you want a nice clean build - and you have enough room in your case - this is a nice choice. Be advised that if you have a side case fan that you may find this heat sink won't fit. While many cases are wide, when you add a side case fan they become no bigger than a standard case. Some people say the LED isn't start bright, but frankly I don't like devices that have bright LEDs that you can't disable. If LEDs are a big deal, you can always get a kit to light up your case. Better too dim than too bright in my personal opinion.

It looks cool and it does a great job Mounting bracket makes it so that if you have to remove it you may have to get rid of your MOBO just to get it back in spot. When transporting Zalman suggests removing it from the MOBO This thing works wonderful. The red LED is kinda dim and it doesnt start immediatly when you turn on the laptop or computer. It lags for about 2 -three seconds before kicking on. If your dealing with an pricey build this can be kinda heart wrenching if you didnt anticipate it. I didnt bother putting the limmiting resister on. I could care much less how quiet it is I just want it operating full blast to preserve my stuff as cool as feasible.

Quiet! Or should I say quieter than the Intel DBX-B. My temps are only about 3°c much less than the Intel DBX-B cooler I had. I utilised Arctic Silver 5 for both. Any drop in temps are great for me. Oh don't forget, it's quiet!Black pearl finish is fairly sweet. Instructions worked for me, but I had to read it thoroughly. It was much easier than I thought. Does that mean I did some thing wrong?I did have to get rid of my motherboard, so I guess the hassle of unplugging every little thing, and taking out the videocard, and unscrewing almost everything, adds additional time to the installation. But...I thought you always had to remove the motherboard for that? The led, is DIM. I seriously underestimated every person else. I used Arctic Silver five instead of the included thermal grease.Azza Solano 1000 Red case (cooler does not fit unless you eliminate side fan on case)Intel Core i7 980xAsus Rampage III Formula

conceptually the style is flawless being absolutely open although, it doesn't force the air to flow in between the fins. can't overclock any higher than i could with my stock fan that came with the 1090T three.7GHz, also the contact plate is amazingly rough and jagged, expected a great deal smoother at least the appearance of getting flat. suspect this to be the culprit of my current problems. if i close the case up, i start having memory crashes, but with case open memtest and windows memory diagnostic come across no troubles (provided the case is open), could be the mobo too but appears to be heat related

- Half the weight of the largest Noctua cooler (no MoBo bending).- Fits Lian-LI 9F MId-ATX case effortlessly. - Extremely quiet, specially compared to i7 stock fan (even with out the supplied optional resistor cable).- Efficient (through massive diameter) - Mirror flat get in touch with surface- Some great hi-tech (capillary heat pipes) used- Excellent thermal compound (possibly silver sort) - Have to look cautiously on the manual - the section with larger fins goes toward your case fan. You can follow the concave side of blades on the fan itself. There is no arrow showing direction of air blown by fan.- Manual says to use the entire quantity of thermal grease: that would be WAAAY to considerably. Instead make thin, virtually translucent layer using credit card / gift card. - Not tested for OC but.

Cons:fan is a frosted plastic, so the LED doesn't shine through as well as i thought. Not a big deal tho. The overall heatsink is rather large so check the specs!

Pros:Slick design, quiet with silent adapter OR without, LED for makin it cooler!Mounting is okay... kinda close quarters if your installing with the motherboard already mounted.

very nice heatsink. is very cool to the touch and i believe that's mostly due to the heatsink properties combined with a good quality thermal paste and proper airflow. bracketing covers all common slot configurations, has three inline speed alternatives for PWM. Finish is to die for and look brilliant. Does NOT cover memory location and thats a huge plus for individuals like me with tall ram sinks. running my I7-960 at four.2 and idling at 33-34C and when at full draw in prime i often hit 58C but only when dust filters on case are dirty. bracket can be confusing to mount as directions are limited to multilingual pictures. finest cooler i have ever owned, with 800rpm speed reducer its almost silent in the course of game play. my PSU fan is loulder. :)
