ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:may interfere with sli setups

Pros:better then most stock chipset coolersfits both hoops and holeseasy to installlow cost
Comment:
I used this to replace a dying nb fan on my A-Bit IC7-G motherboard. It really fits perfectly Between my Zalman CNPS6500B-Cu (CPU Flower Heatsink) and my ZM80C-HP (with ZM-OP1 fan) (video card Heatpipe). It seems as if these three were made to go on the IC7-G perfectly together. Definatly reccomended for anyone with a Chipset that is not below your video cards.

Cons:Hard to install

Pros:Works and looks nice

Had some trouble finding the best fit, took me some time by trial error to get the best fit on my Asus A8N-VM CSM, now the stock heatsink is sitting on the southbridge :)

ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:Bulky, tricky to install. Requires patience and steady hands to get it to fit exactly. If you have a long video cards in SLi you wont be able to use this.

Pros:Quiet. Fits nicely into confined space on the Asus a8n-sli deluxe. Even though the nforce4 runs hot this still seems to lower my chipset temperature lower then the original fan.
Comment:
I installed this to replaced my factory Asus a8n-sli deluxe chipset fan. Before the install I was getting 32C at full load now I'm getting 31C so no major improvement. The factory fan from Asus is garbage and is overly loud and fails often. If you have this board and have not replaced the fan with I strongly suggest you do so soon. If you plan on running your computer in SLi mode remember that if you have long videcards this will probably not fit. The Chipset Cooler itself is a bit bulky but fits nicely into the confined area. I would definately get this item over again if I had the chance. Overall I'm very pleased with this Chipset Cooler. It was a little tricky to install since you have to push down on the spring loaded pegs which are located underneath the "fins" Little tricky but with patience and a little luck you'll get it eventually and not regret installing it.

ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:Lacks performance even though it is big.Trouble with ATI spaced mounting holes.

Pros:better cooling performance than NB-47Jsilent.
Comment:
This is the logical next step up from the NB-47J. Cools chipsets better than NB-47J and is much larger. The base is very flat now unlike the NB-47J.Mounting mechanism is the same as NB-47J, but the biggest difference is that the NBF-47 has a gap at the center of the mounting rail. This gap makes it very hard, if not impossible to mount this heatsink on ATI spaced mounting holes (I.E.: abit nf-m2 nview northbridge chip). the NB-47J does not have this problem. This chipset heatsink, although being fairly big, does not cool as well as some of the more expensive, and even bigger heatsinks. This is its greatest shortcoming, being this big, it blocks connectors or cards, but cannot cool as well as other heatsinks that have similar foot prints. Also worth noting is that recently motherboards come stock with heatpipe and/or massive northbridge heatsinks, making this chipset cooler just not as good as certain stock coolers.I bought this to see how good it was, and although not as good as other higher performance chipset heatsinks, it's not as expensive.

ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:- Difficult to install for the first time

Pros:- Affordable- Fanless- Quality design- Good Performance
Comment:
I replaced the chipset fan on my Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe with this. My PC is noticibly quieter now. Chipset temperature used to average 29°C. When I first turn on the PC now it is around 25°C, but after 30 minutes it reaches 35°C. After 12 hours of operation the temp is still 35°C. Because it increases the temperature of the air flowing through my case, it seems to be the cause of the increase in the temperature of my CPU from 31 to 35°C from before, to 39 to 43°C. I'm looking to replace the stock cooling on my X2 3800+ now.

ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:Wide width - might interfere with CPU heatsink

Pros:Effective passive coolingNo noise
Comment:
It's almost perfect. This does cool down your chipset to within specs, but it helps to have a case fan installed to ensure there's some airflow around it. The biggest issue with this cooler is that it might be too wide and hit your CPU heatsink. Though because it's fin design makes it more flexible, I bent a couple of the fins to accomodate.(Thus, voiding warranty)Fit and finish are excellent! Base is polished to almost mirror finish. Cools down the chipset as expected. Here's a tip for easier assembly if you're using a push-pin:- Take an attachment arm- Pop a push pin through now.- Put a bolt thru the appropriate hole and partially twirl a nut over it (only enough so that it doesn't fall off)- Now you can easily slide in into the heatsink and tighten to fit. ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:A little tricky to install

Pros:great little cooler
Comment:
Good product, priced competitively. It's a little tricky to install. Getting the pins to line up just right. Does the trick. Be careful not to drop one of those tiny nuts/screws in your carpet like I did. They are hard to find.

Cons:Ummm...the silence is erie.

Pros:No noise! Nice design, and size.
Comment:
After getting tired of my Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe northbrdige fan crapping out on me, I swithched to fanless cooling. My AMD 3500+ is OC 10% so far no problems with heat, no problems fitting on my mobo.

ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:Might not fit on some motherboards, very hard to put together.

Pros:Cools very well, fits systems with loops instead of push pins, quite nice looking, fits my system perfectly, intriguing and effective design, silent.
Comment:
I bought this for my Dell Dimension 5150, since the stock northbridge heatsink was not sufficient, trying to touch the cooler would result in almost burning oneself, so it was probably running in the 70-80 degree range. I was worried that it wouldn't have the proper clips for my motherboard, which has the loops instead of the push pins, but those fears were quenched when it arrived.*update*After I installed my new Silverstone FM-121 in place of my old CPU fan (note I have a BTX case), the temps came down another 10-20 degrees. It now only feels slightly warm, and the fan isn't too loud even though it's pulling more than 50 CFM. Great job Zalman, and great job NCIX for getting it to me so quick.Putting the thing together takes some time an a lot of patience, you may want a Jewellers (super tiny) screwdriver set. It took me half an hour to put it together, but after I got it all finished, it was easy to install on the motherboard and effectively reduces my temps at least 15 degrees, but that still means it's running quite hot. I'm sure the temps will lower even more when I install the new 110 CFM fan. It was very fortunate that it fit though, seeing as the voltage regulators and capacitors are all around the northbridge, the outer fins are just touching the capacitors. ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:- Installation can be tricky

Pros:- Passive- Zalman's flower touch- It works
Comment:
It's a Zalman, and we know what to expect. Mounting can be a little tricky and sometimes requires a little patience. You'll know if you have experience with their passive heatpipe VGA cooler. The screws are so tiny and the levers come off easily. Works wonders, though. Brought my chipset (originally passively cooled DFI) temperature down by 2 degrees. Recommended if you have decent air flow in your case.

ZALMAN ZM - NBF 47 Heatsinks only
Cons:gets really hot to the touch on my A8N-SLIreally annoying mounting system

Pros:quiet!small footprintquietlots of fins for heat dissipationdid I mention quiet?
Comment:
Just about 5 days ago I got this cooler for my motherboard since I lost one of the pins for my HR-05 cooler, and boy am I glad I did. This heatsink is better in every way, about a 1C drop in temps for the HR-05, smaller, can bend the fins out of the way of a VGA heatsink, the only problem I had with it (had the same with the HR-05) is the mounting system is a pain to get on. with this one, there is a screw and a nut, and you barely screw the nut on so it fits in the cooler, but apparently they didn't test it very well, and unless you have it perfect, if you move it after you have tightened the screw, it will come loose. Just for this fault alone I will not a star off.

Cons:The base is slightly smaller of a nforce2 chipset.

Pros:Good quality, strong, well made, adaptable to your will.
Comment:
I was really impressed by the size/quality of this heatsink. Fit perfectly on a Abit NF7-S 2.0 and replaced the small heatsink/fan easely. I was impressed of the quality and the polished base with almost no imperfection.
