Great Cooler
Comment:
Even without the thermal paste cured yet this cooler keeps my i5 cool. un-OC'd (2.67ghz) 25C on 0 % load and max out at 45C on 20 rounds of IntelBurnTest on maximum. OC'd (3.67ghz) 35C on 0 % load and max out at 70C on 20 rounds of IntelBurnTest on maximum. i for one like the snap in clips makes it a lot faster to get it on or off.

Worked as Expected
Comment:
I bought this back in July of 2009 and have had fantastic results. The stock i7 cooler was just pitiful and temperatures would go past 70 degrees under full load. This heatsink has kept my computer idling around 40 degrees and peaked at about 60 degrees under full load... This is all on an i7 920 with a beefy GTX 285 sitting right below it.

Highly effective and asethetically pleasing
Comment:
The more pressure a heatsink takes to put on means greater contact with the cpu hence better to draw heat away from the cpu.

Using this in 2 PCs. It lowered the celsius temp by 8-10 degrees on both. Id highly recommend this one.

Works very well but installation was a real pain
Comment:
The installation of this fan was a real pain. Took me over 20 minutes to secure everything and almost broke one of the pins. Once the fan was installed though everything worked like a charm. It's quiet and there's a nice blue light coming out of the fan which is cool with a clear sided case. Also it's very big, you will need a large case to make sure both your cpu fan and side fan fits in there, make sure you take the case measures before you buy.

Potentially great cooler ruined by poor mount
Comment:
I bought this new, hoping for best but threw it in the trash. I hope this review spares you a similar experience. The cheap, flimsy, plastic above-board mounting feet don't secure the cooler to the CPU and motherboard. Anyone too lazy to remove the motherboard to mount a CPU fan deserves this turkey. Theoretically the telescoping mounts should lock to the motherboard but the locking mechanism fails. Any slight jar to the case will unseat the cooler from the CPU and motherboard. The metal cooling components look fantastic and if this cooler had screw mounts to the motherboard (X-panel below the 755) it would be a winner. Save your money and get a CoolerMaster GeminiII-S with screw mounts.

Great CPU Cooling Fan
Comment:
Used this to replace the stock Intel Xeon Dual Core Server cpu fan. I immediately noticed an average of 25 degrees temperature drop. Another great asset about this unit is that the fan can be replaced easily. I did have a problem installing it on the CPU with the memory modules already in their sockets because of its close proximity. My fat fingers compelled me to remove the memory modules just so I could succesfully install the cooler's pins onto the board. Not a big deal. Later on, I reinstalled the memory modules with no problems. For cases that have side fans, ensure there is enough space between the fans and the motherboard. Other than that, a little pricey, however.

Great cooler with some hassle
Comment:
This thing was a huge pain to install on my i5. Took me the longest time to fit in the last push pin. I did manage to fit it in and the cooler dropped my core temp 18ish degrees from stock cooler. The fan is pretty loud. I can hear it above the rest of my case fans.

Great CPU Cooler for the price!
Comment:
Ran Intel Burn Test at maximum stress for five loops. With stock intel cooler my core temps on my Core-i5-750 were 73-75-71-76 hot hot hot. Installed this baby and ran same tests, this time my cores only hit 54-54-51-55 thats an average of 20 degrees cooler! For the $40 I paid for this thing it was way worth it. Great cooler for the money. Now I'm ready to start overclocking. Also, I used Artic Silver 5 thermal compound, not the stuff that came with the cooler.

Keeps my cpu cool
Comment:
It was a big hassle getting this particular cpu fan installed. The brackets you need to push in are under the edges of the fan, hence the ding on features and quality. Once it was finally installed it cooled my CPU by 8 degrees Celsius which is really pretty darn good, especially at this price point. I have an i7 860, 1156 socket cpu.

Great Product
Comment:
Prior to installing the cooler, my i7-920 would consistently hit 74C under max load. After installing the cooler, the max temperature hovers around 53C under load. I recommend installing the cooler with the MOBO removed from the case. Probably one of the simpler, effective and cheap upgrades to my system.

Keeps my quad processor cool, makes little noise and it looks good. Be warned it's a big cooler so make sure you have room in your case.

i am very pleased with this for the money it is the best you could purchase. My processor is the Q8700 I noticed at idle my cpu before was running 95 f to 105 f with the stock and under a long load it would climb all the way up to 165 f to me that is HOT. now with this I am truly happy with the cooling it provides i will say if you are looking at buying for 775 chipset you should look at this first.

Great product. Dropped my temps from 80c at full load to 60 at full load with my corei7 920. I highly recommended it, especially for the price. The only thing I do not like is the push pins for mounting to the motherboard.

Not for LGA1156 despite product title!
Comment:
The first socket mentioned is 1156 and i5 is even in the title. There is no mention of 1156 in the description or on the manufacturers website.

Great i7 CPU Cooler for 1156 Socket
Comment:
This cooler was bought for my core i7 860 CPU and its been keeping temps at about 30c idle and no more then 60c running a stress test, and this is all with my CPU clocked to 3Ghz from the stock 2.8Ghz but remember results may vary.

Way better then I5 stock fan
Comment:
Most fans are super big and very hard to install in a lot of midsize cases but this one will fit most true mid cases. The Zerotherm cooler is one of the best fans that have come out and it does the job very well, and feels cold to the touch1!. It is built like a litte square apartment building lol

Mounting Problems
Comment:
Works good as far as cooling your CPU, quiet with good air flow. Built an i7 920 with an nVidia 275 GTX OC, MSI MOBO and kept temp with in 5 degrees of room temp, I'm not a gamer but do 3D Animation so I work my computer hard. Product maker needs to find a better way to mount, very flimsey mount brackets.

great cooler
Comment:
i am using an i7 with the stock cooler my non overclock idle temp in the bios was 58-61c after using this cooler it was 48-48.5c using cpuID temps i get 34-40 now maxing at 48 so for the price it is a great deal. it is hard to get it locked in to place due to its size and my fat fingers but worth the time and some was due to my MB cooling fins

Awsome cooling ability
Comment:
Its not a good idea to be lazy and try to pop a fan in while the motherboard is installed. Complaining because you were to lazy to pull your motherboard out and do this right didnt make it ok to give it a lower rating. lol I have a Core I7 940 and it sits almost at room temp at idle! Even gaming this thing doesnt get above 60c! Thats with an overclock from 2.9-3.6 currently! Wow, this is one well designed fan and the easiest I have ever installed. It pops into place, no screws. Ive been building gaming rigs for 5 years now so I've got a few under my belt. ^_^ You cant go wrong with this fan, believe me!

ZEROtherm CORE92 Socket 1156/1366 HDT Cooler
Comment:
Since there were no reviews I was unsure of buying this, but went ahead. Using an i7 system with a case that has a fan on the side, this doesn't give me a lot of clearance for bigger coolers, so the height on this was lower than many of the others. Installation: Intially having no backplate required seemed ideal, since I don't have a removeable motherboard tray, however, due to the position of the heatsink in my case pushing the pins down (right below the fins) was really hard (and frustrating) at some of the angles. Had I bought this before I put the motherboard in the case it would have been fine. Results: These are non overlocked values. The stock cooler runs really hot, my normal idle temps were 55-59 c and on load after gaming it could get to 70. Currently my idle with this cooler is 41, with about 49 on load (so far) pretty big difference. Eventually I'll try overclocking, but mainly wanted something more reliable than the stock. solid for price.
