Great board general in addition to a few difficulties adressed in the cons, but runs quite cool, OCed to 2.0ghz with no problems, wireless works wonderful, truly strong really feel to it. If you pair it with 2gb 800 it runs wonderful genuinely don't want more result in the processor is not supperb u know.Media Center in win7 with Netflix runs flawless. 1080p video no dilemma with the proper software program. There are only a few issues with the board but not seriously adequate to loose a point. One factor is that the board does not have a mic input on the inside so u can't hook up a mic plug that in the front of most situations. In win7 VLC does not run effectively at all. I'm not positive what it is but it can't run high def at all. But arcsoft media theater runs flawless All round I am amazed by the size efficiency ratio. Does anything it's created for and plus someRuns StarCraft 2 beta on medium settings on my 32inch at 43fps avarageAmazing!!!!!!!

I was extremely shocked by the capabilities of the Atom 330!

-- strong CPU/GPU combo good sufficient for win7-- wonderful construct top quality-- tiny type factor, run cool-- constructed-in wifi-- PCIEx16 slot for future expansion on-board RAID controller conflicts with add-on PCI-E SATA RAID card (sil3132). The sil3132 bios (whether SATA or RAID) only can be loaded when the on-board RAID function is disabled. This suggests if you want to boot from the add-on card, you'd have to turn off the on-board RAID (still operates as SATA although). This appears to be a zotac or nvidia bios concern, due to the fact extremely handful of sil3132 users have complained about the PCI alternative rom conflict ahead of. I only have a sil3132 PCI-E card made by SYBA. Don't know if JMR363 or Via chipset RAID card performs. could have built in blue tooth

Modest form aspect, fanless, HDMI, eSATA, Gig LAN, nVidia. Lots of BIOS selections. Agree with other posts that the Azure WiFi is garbage, unless you have line-of-sight. 1 floor down, 20 feet max, got 2 bars and continual drops. Replaced with Intel N mini-pcie card from NewEgg and got five bars, no drops in the exact same spot. Caveat is the board doesn't have screws for half-height mini-pcie, so I had to rig a clip to properly seat the card. No FireWire. The I/O shield/plate is about the least expensive I've ever come across; thin with sharp edges and effortlessly warps. No major deal soon after it's installed.Built up in a Silverstone LC19 case with plenty of vents, but idles around 79C -tiny on the hot side for idle. Built as a Win7 Media Center HTPC with an Hauppage WnTVHR-2250. Performs great once I replaced the WLAN adapter, but a tiny worried about processor temps. Also wonder about Zotac support, as most drivers are from 2009. nVidia rocks, though.

This board has every thing you need for a nice little HTPC. It was easy to put together with the case I purchased. The cabling was fairly regular and simple. The motherboard is new enough my old copy of Windows XP wouldn't operate. I had to slipstream SP2 and SP3 into the XP disk and then factors worked fine. The very first board newegg shipped was dead on arrival. Luckily, neweg shipped a properly operating 1 out to me and I had my HTPC up and running soon immediately after. I wanted to use Ubuntu, but for a HTPC, there's not NetFlix streaming help. Also undesirable, Ubuntu installed effortlessly, and I was using VirtualBox with a WinXP image and it all worked great, but playing HD video via a virtual implementation like that doesn't operate. Not adequate horsepower in the machine.

Installed smoothly with WIN XP. No difficulties hence far. Web surfing and video streaming was very smooth. Unlike other people posted, Wi-Fi connection was superior. Very impress with this smaller package. Outstanding alternative for a new HTPC. Directions for the optional (may not require it) fan. For individuals that had a challenging time figuring out the diagram, location fan on best of the heatsink (center) and screw in place. There are NO holes (that one particular would expect) to screws in spot, the grill will accept the screws!! Aside from that, it's an excellent combo board (and deal from newegg). Quite swift delivery, I Adore NEWEGG!!!

As noted elsewhere, runs awesome, handles HD video, S/PDIF, so it makes a great HTPC. With NO fans - no CPU fan, no situation fan, and no energy provide fan - mine idles at 55 oC and plays video at 75 oC, which is nicely inside spec. Tiny situation fan drops temps by 30 oC. Ubuntu lucid recognized almost everything out of the box. The wireless card comes with only a single of two antennae installed, and it's close to worthless. Adding a second antenna, scavenged from an old laptop boosted wireless speed from 150 kb/s to 108 Mb/s. Appear for one particular with an "MC" connector. On linux, you could will need to set up compat-wireless or wireless-backports.

Ok, if you are employing this as a Media Center (HTPC) personal computer, you ought to do the following...1. install coreavc specialist (บ and worth it)two. set up media center classicthree. update to most up-to-date ION drivers from nVidia's internet sitefour. Utilized this mobo to built two multimedia education PCs running Win 7 feeding a couple of big LCD displays. The OS installed rapidly and without having a sweat. Wireless G/N performed appropriately. The video is quite sharp, but does not fatigue. Heat sinks were cool to the touch through 24 hour burn-in testing at 85 percent CPU load. Zero issues right after six months operations. Zotac ought to look at providing this board with a PCIe slot... General quite impressed with this board. I am acquiring three a lot more for home media servers and a firewall application...Highly encouraged

nVidia ION chipset functions wonderful! Running Win7 Ultimate 64 bit with most current drivers. No complications loading OS or finding drivers. Plays 1080p video streaming wirelessly from my server without a hiccup. Big heat sink assists maintain points cool, and consists of a CPU fan. Has 3 SATA ports and handles 4GB RAM! Did I mention the integrated wireless? Great package! As a different individual mentioned, make positive you have a 20 or a 20Ʋ energy connector. Working with this for HTPC. Bought as combo. What a fantastic deal with only a single complaint... The case in the combo. The fans are loud, and it doesn't accomodate the PCIe slot. I read the descriptions, so it wasn't an issue, but it would have been good to have. Taking into consideration receiving a different before the sale ends!

Very good board with a lot of attributes.I was a bit concerned with somebody else's review saying wireless range being too short but luckily, it wasn't the situation for me. Built with Apex case and the only issue I had was the location of the optional CPU fan that comes with the mobo. P/S was positioned proper on prime of CPU heatsink and I had to spot the fan off centered employing only two screws. It isn't seriously a con for this mobo nor Apex situation. Would get again with various circumstances till I locate the great match.

Employed this to replacea lesser ITX board that I use for a SAN operating Windows 2008 R2 Storage Server.... functions fine for that and the ION chipset is a bit of a enhance for the disk IO i've found. You can moderately OC the Atom CPU as well, which is nice. Wifi is bunk. It is detected, but wont connect to anything. From what I gather the card in common is a P-O-S, so I am pondering seeking at a seperate Intel dual band wireless N card. Not that I want it for the box, but it would be nice if that function worked. I am not sure if the problem is the car, or the reality I am using 2008 R2 (which at its core is the similar as Windows 7 so it ought to be supported).

Tiny, uncomplicated to place together. Utilizes desktop DIMMs rather than Laptop SoDIMMs. Regardless of what a few other individuals have stated, this just didn't play Netflix streams nicely, at least on Windows 7 x64. Netflix streams on Pc regrettably don't use the GPU at all, and this Atom, despite the fact that it's the finest Atom, seriously can't preserve up. I ended up employing this as a WHS and placing the Athlon X2 to HTPC duty.

Small Form Element.Fantastic build top quality.Wireless included. I purchased this board with the intent to generate a smaller and portable gaming technique. Due to the fact I have heard quite very good testimonials of the Atom N330 chip, and that this Zotac board had a x16 PCI-E slot, I was hoping for some low-cost, and compact gaming goodness. I had installed the newest drivers from Nvidia, and teamed the board with a Geforce 8800GTX card. I started to play Battlefield BC2, and seasoned very a bit of lag even on the single player campaign. I can only assume it is due to the CPU efficiency. I am organizing on picking up the Core 2 Zotac board rather.

Size, Cost, WIFI, Heat, HDMI, None so far... This is an awesome motherboard. I'm really pleased with the efficiency of the Atom 330 and Nvidia Ion. It doesn't get that hot with the heatsink fan, and every thing worked perfectly on set up. It was seriously straightforward to place this in my mini-itx case, with 2 hdd's and an optical drive. I didn't finish up working with the PCI slot due to the fact it seemed a small cramped in a tiny case, but that's not the mobo's fault. Pair this with a case like the Apex mi-008 for a actually slick shoe-box sized computer!

Little, quiet, feature wealthy... decent choices on BIOS Would have preferred a fanless capability, but it just runs as well hot with out the fan. The wifi is really bad and seems flaky even with AP nearby. No built in bluetooth. Genuinely require to think about how you are going to transfer files to this process for whatever media center suggestions you have. The poor wifi will either need a tough wire or new/different wifi attachment to get excellent efficiency...Given that my strategy was to use a distinct machine on the network for file storage I ended up tough wiring into a repeater just to get decent connectivity.

I'm using this board in a hybrid HTPC/centralized Media Center DVR machine driving a number of Xbox/Linksys extenders. So far it is operating great and handles almost everything I've thrown at it devoid of breaking a sweat. Although the board supports 4GB RAM and the CPU will run a 64-bit OS, due to the processor's 32-bit memory addressing limitation only ӯ.25GB of 4GB installed RAM will be usable.

Every thing you'd want in an HTPC on a single board other than RAM and disk. Linux fundamentally 'just operates', other than the temperature sensors. With a affordable SSD, Ubuntu boots into xbmc faster than my Blu-Ray player!Low power, but decent overall performance: plays 1080P over HDMI with no problems employing GPU acceleration.Only needs 20-pin power so compatible with additional low-power PSUs than boards requiring 4-pin power as nicely. Supplied SATA cables have right-angled connectors, which suggests they can't be employed in a little HTPC case, when this board is otherwise pretty a lot ideal for HTPC use; I had to swap it for a straight cable from my Linux desktop Computer. CPU fan is genuinely needed if you want to run this in a modest case and fan installation directions are sparse to say the least. Power socket position is a discomfort in a small case with the PSU at the front; there's no way in my case to fit both the power cable and the DVD drive which could be installed above the board... the cable bunches up and takes too much space.Only appears to recognise 3.5GB out of 4GB, even though the video RAM is only configured to 128MB in the BIOS. Overall I'm pretty happy, but I'm glad I had a spare SATA cable I could use to install the SSD, and I consider I'm going to have to swap it to another case at some point. Since I have no intention of employing the wireless, would have been nice if that was an optional function to save a few bucks.

I read up on the matter and apparently ZOTAC boards have a lot of complications with POST and random crashings. I believe they need to function on their high quality manage. I will post a different review or revise this a single when I receive a functioning unit.

Extremely expandible: -three Sata Drives + 1 eSata connection. A full PCI-E x16 slot. Plus decent video audio possibilities. Disappointed that it truly only supports 3.3 Gb of memory (rather than the 4Gb advertised). This is discussed a couple of occasions on the Zotac forums. At times runs into "not responding" matters with 64 bit version of Windows 7 though operating easy tasks like opening a browser, but then handles much more intensive items like streaming Netflix flawlessly. Possibly, just a Windows 7 issue.

They had been 300 for the one particular I wanted and it wouldn't surf the net. It would only do Netflix, and so on. This does every little thing.I loaded window 7 64 bit with no difficulties. Im working with a Liteon Blue Ray Player. What a machine. none so far I'm employing the Lian Li Pc-Q07 case. I currently had an Antec Accurate Power 550 and a spare WD 320 gb sata drive. I dont will need any more challenging drive since this machine will automatically access my movies and photographs on my windos vista server machine more than the wi-fi.

This is a fantastic combo to obtain, they packed rather a few attributes onto this tiny Mini ITX board. I purchased this item to be a element of an HTPC unit.. The ION packs adequate punch to get out all of the HD content material that I give it from my file server, and it quite seldom has issues. It lives up to the "Good adequate" philosophy that I believe they are going for with these ION machines. Elaborate interfaces such as the Aeon skin for XBMC will most likely require you to overclock a bit.. I'm running stock clock and it's usable but not specifically smooth.. this is a wonderful buy for a fundamental HTPC. If you fully grasp what you're paying for then this is a fantastic item. I would not advocate it for a lot additional than a standard HTPC, or possibly a fancy "file server with positive aspects". I'd personally opt for a thing a bit much more strong if you're seeking to make this your multi-objective Computer mobo.. if you've got a high res display you'll run into performance issues with simple tasks.. the processor will hold you back.. This board was quite clearly made with a certain purpose in mind.. but it comes with plenty of perks. I had difficulties with my very first board, but that's just bad luck.. Newegg service was wonderful as often and I am genuinely enjoying this small addition to my property network.
