I bought this to quiet my Sandy Bridge HTPC. Any 120MM cooler was too high for the Silverstone HTPC case, so this 92MM unit was perfect. Installation was a breeze taking just a few minutes. The mounting of the heatsink bracket to the motherboard couldn't have been easier and mounting the heaksink to the bracket was painless. The fan is very quiet and the cooling is very good for my non overclocked Sandy dual core. The price on this unit during the sale was nearly a giveaway. This cooler is probably a good purchase at full price.

Got this super cheap after a MIR. It looks a lot cooler than the stock cooler on my Core I5, but after seeing all the reviews I thought it was going to be even quieter than it is. It is still a bit noisy when your CPU is getting worked.

really does the job to cool my 2500k with 15C lower compared to the stock heatsink. very quiet aournd 1500 rpm, but noisy at 2500 rpm.

I picked up this cooler for my dad's new computer build.It is best bang for the buck cpu cooler for the money, and performs way better then the AMD stock cooler that comes with AMD Cpu's. if your on a budget this is a great cpu cooler.

Do the extra research to make sure the adapter will fit your mATX motherboard. When they list what sockets it fits, at least for me, I assumed the backing plate would be adjustable to fit the board (since I've always used Coolermaster sinks, who have seemed to have mastered manufacturing an adaptable backing).So, if you're using an mATX board you may want to check with their customer support first.That being said I build enough rigs that this wont sit around for long, but if you're going for an extreme budget build (since this is an extreme budget sink), heed this warning.

Far quieter than my stock Intel fan, looks cooler, keeps the processor cooler, and keeps my case cooler! No brainer to upgrade to this from a stock cooler. I doubt anything more expensive would be any better unless you were doing some serious overclocking. Bought with Gigabyte F2A85XM-D3H,AMD A6-5400K CPU,Patriot Viper 3 8GB 2X4GB PC3-15000 DDR3-1866,Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD. Installed with Arctic Céramique 2 thermal compound and used it to fill in the small gaps between the heatpipes. Put a very thin layer on heatsink and spread in the cracks and thin layer on cpu. The heatsink does not cover the entire cpu and does leave a little space at the corners and sides. It does an amazing job at drawing away heat though and it is completely silent when controlled by the motherboard smart fan feature. The system took everything I threw at it and never went over 24 degrees Celsius even at full load. I used an old lanboy case I had with only 2 system fans. One in the front and one in the back. Again completely silent. The system is blazing fast, completely silent and stays completely cool! Couldn't be happier. Haven't even overclocked it yet. Just burned it in with regular settings. Motherboard doesn't detect memory timings correctly though. Had to set manually.

Bought it on Black Friday sale. Does a better job cooling then the stock. Bought it for a server. I use 4U Norco case and its limited in the size of CPU heat sink that can be used. Little noise but really doesn't matter in a server.

Just bought this heatsink for my Core i5 2500K j 4.2GHz and I've seen a drop  of 20C on load which is pretty significant for a heatsink at this price range.. I'd highly recommend getting this..

It's a 4 pin connection, so most motherboards will run it quietly... outside the initial rev up on boot and waking from sleep. Still better noise profile than most stock coolers.But it's an awesome cooler for the price. The mounting is awesome for AM3 boards: it points to the back of the case like most coolers should! And Intel mounting is simple too (with your choice of orientation)

This is a good cooler even though it's a little loud. Great upgrade from stock. Keeps your CPU cool. Also includes the compound. No back plate required.

Initially I was concerned with fan noise. It wasn't to loud but at 1900 RPM's you can hear it. I turned the speed down to 1500 RPM's and now it's virtually silent. Temperatures were barely affected.

I bought it for a friend witch wanted to overclock his cpu a little bit and he was able to keep it very cool at any speed :)A great deal for the price but you need to have the space needed to install it correctly in your computer case :)

Bought this for my Compaq Presario desktop to replace the noisy old one, easy to install, very silent and my computer works fine now. Comes with thermal compound for the cpu and heatsink. Very happy with this product.

It took me about 10 minutes to change this out and I'm really impressed. Dropped my CPU temperatures by between 10 and 15 degrees C. Using with Athlon X2 5200+ on an Asus board. Really pleased with it especially for the price!

This must be one of the most affordable coolers. Uses PWM controlled fan speed, quite presentable and quiet. Uses advanced push pins which work a lot better than the ones on regular Intel coolers and can be adapted to a few different socket types. It would not be a good choice for overclocking, but I would certainly recommend it for a mainstream and budget applications.
