Sufficient outlets for my computer usage. I reside in Tampa Florida had been there are regular brown outs and energy outages. I bought a total of three of these battery backups. (I also own 2 much more ups APC units) They perform on brown or blackouts only about 1Ǚ of the time. twoǙ of the time my computer systems crash. In the previous all solutions APC sold did a great job. Under no circumstances a failure. The only item connected to the battery side is my Desktop (not monitor nor printer - these are plugged into the surge side of the ups). I purchased a new battery (originally to replace an older APC backups) and placed it in the new APC - but nonetheless computer crashes due to brown outs. I don't have an answer, but 3 negative UPS at one particular time tends to make me unwilling to purchase any a lot more APC items. APC formerly had amazing merchandise. I can not say this anymore. Verify other brands and other good friends to see who has a "new" ups that performs nicely and then buy that item and model |

what you would expect from a ups . replaces a old 350 va model thats lasted five years but since the battery and shipping = have the expense of a new 1 . i purchased this. none so far to undesirable theres not a more affordable way to send battery replacements. hate throwing away something that could easly be fixed. |

This is a great piece of hardware. Basic, uncomplicated to recognize directions in good packaging. The device is heavy, which spells excellent most of the time. Runs very quiet and comes in a sturdy PVC shell. None, at this time. Wonderful unit! Very heavy so prepare to devote some $$ shipping it. :-) |

Superb smaller UPS at a truly excellent value. This is excellent in terms of size and shape for plugging an entertainment center into it. Plus, it's APC. UPSs simply don't get any greater.The UPS also has a replaceable battery, which is something that you won't usually come across on competing goods in this price range.It's also incredibly heavy. It's heavy? No, really. It's significantly heavier than you would expect. I don't see this as a difficulty, though, because it signifies it's unlikely to be moved as soon as it's in location.Truly, there are no cons. It's an APC. I bought this UPS as a replacement for one particular my mother owned that was manufactured by a competing business that melted (literally melted) when she plugged in a higher draw device into that device's surge-only slots. I've under no circumstances heard of a equivalent incident with APC, and all the UPSs I have owned have been manufactured by APC.Don't skimp on your UPS. APC's items are higher excellent--even their cheaper offerings like this--and you can tell just from the weight of the make. Trust me, it's safer for each your electronics, your spending budget, and your home. |

Does what it says and interruptions in power are not noticable by the most sensitive devices I have protected with it. Not wall mountable. This appears to be the replacement for the BE550R which I was very happy with particularly for its wall mounting capability. We use these for surge protection and redundant battery back up on phone systems so its wall mounting was vital. APC has been advised and are "working on it". |

These ƒ) have been a replacement to my older two.As quickly as they arrived, I plugged them in and charged them for 24 hours then hooked them up. 24 hours later, I lost power. My two yo granddaughter believed it was fascinating, as it went dark in my workplace, on the other hand she was nevertheless perched on my desk watching 101 Dalmatians on my second monitor. Figured this was a fantastic test, I shut most of the applications down and listened for the beeps. 15-20 minutes later we got bored. I powered the pc down. Then I shut the annoying beeping off. Then I believed about bringing my coffee pot down to my office basement and plugging it in. They are heavy? Not confident it would power my vacuum for lengthy. I usually want to vacuum in the course of energy failures. I do not install alot of application. So I have in no way installed the computer software for the battery backups. My old ones in no way had a dilemma unless operating two 'tubed' monitors, where I had no far more than 10 minutes if that to shut down. I like to wait a bit before shutting down to see if it is really needed. I was truly shocked that following 15 minutes or so they beeping had not sped up and definitely nowhere close to critical. I have two because 1 just doesn't have adequate outlets, for two monitors, the modem, router, speakers, externally mounted harddrives. If these final as lengthy as my prior ones, I will be quite happy. I believe I bought the originals in 2004. |

None (for my objective) Lack of mounting holes. Cannot be wall mounted. A person at APC chose to omit the mounting holes from this unit. Um, hello? The price to APC on manufacture is about zero for the molded-in mounting holes, Why the omission?All the APC (several) units I've utilized over the years had mounting holes, and I was in a position to neatly mounted all in out-of-the-way places. I cannot mount this unit, so it is useless for my objective.As a design modify, this was a dumb notion. Now I have to wonder if there are other less-obvious poor options the APC folk might have made in the style. |

Server 2008 64bit located it, and installed the driver automatically. The APC software program operates on server 2008 64 bit perfectly as effectively. This unit has a good compact design and style and is incredibly easy to setup At about 250-300watts of load it only gets about 1 - 2 minutes of run time. Even with the short run time; its more than sufficient to protect a Pc and a monitor from most power outages. |

Bought this on a boxing week sale for work to replace a 5 year old UPS. So a week after installing it we had a power shutdown on the building and this worked flawless for the power shutdown. powered up a PC, monitor, router, internet router. I can't say how long it lasted as I only used it for 5 mins or so and had to leave but was great to use for quick things to do on pc at power shutdown. would reccomend this one. Last one I had was the same was 5yrs old and was still working just changed out to avoid issues. |

Shortly immediately after I got it, there were a couple terrible surges with the lights going out briefly. I have a satellite receiver and 37" LCD HDTV on the UPS side of this. We watched our show while the energy was flickering on & off. The replacement batteries cost about a a lot as the entire unit. I've been using APC UPS's since the 1980's. I was in an older rural area with terrible power. My 1st UPS would from time to time give warning beeps for low energy servera time a day. I had noticeably fewer personal computer complications following adding the UPS. My 1st unit so old when it started to fail, they gave me a replacement one for virtually nothing, due to the fact they wanted my original unit for thier collection. I Recently Bought CLEARANCE UNIT THAT WAS YEARS OUT WARRANTY BY MFR DATE. I SENT PROOF OF Purchase & THEY HAD REPLACED MY BATTERY WITH two DAY DELIVERY, NO Price TO ME. Conserve your receipts. |

Sleek style and relatively compact. Lots of plugs. Surge protection outlets for non-essential devices. Power Chute private computer software is non intrusive and functions well for basic configuration of UPS. Configurable alarm settings and automated Pc action when energy fails. Haven't discovered any but. The 550VA product was less expensive than the equivalent model 450VA on newegg when I bought this item. Purchased two of the 550VAs. I have owned three of the 750VA APC units for more than a year and never ever had any issue with them. |

A decent and dependable UPS. Uncomplicated to use and install with desktop computers. I'm confident that it will shield my computers. I didn't appreciate how hard it was to plug items into the power outlets. Appears like I had to use intense force to get it in the socket. My older Back-UPS from APC don't function that way. Also the manufacturer isn't really clear in how to connect the black wire to the battery prior to the 1st use. It appears like the connector isn't quite intuitive. I had to do trial and error to see what way the connector worked best. In spite of the handful of negatives that I wrote about this item, I still think it is a adequate UPS. |

This is a should have item no matter where you stand in the tech planet. I had two power outages in the program of 1 day. Lost some of my data and a couple of files. I then decided that I have 1 of these already why not buy yet another. Turned around and purchased two rather. I had one more outage couple days soon after. This thing genuinely does what it is suppose to. It shut down the computer and also gave the alert tone. To anybody who does not have this item......run to the shop or order from Newegg or you will be sorry. NONE GET IT you will save yourself a lot of headaches later. I have already skilled the trouble it bargains out with out it. |

I bought this to run my Modem, Router and NAS through any power outages. During outages, I can still use laptop to surf or even watch video. Luckily, I haven't had an outage but I did unplug it to test it, and all worked fine! I haven't tested how long it would go but with just those three low power items, I expect at least 20-30 minutes.USB Connected to my NAS (Synology 412+) and was recognized immediately. Cool! |

After reading reviews for this UPS, I decided that I would pick one up. Set up was easy, although I never used the included software. It does chew up a lot of space on the desk, so maybe it would be better hung on the wall somewhere. One great feature is that the end plug is set apart, so there is room for an adapter plug. I hate it when they cram them in so close you can't use any adapters on the bar. Overall, this is doing the trick at a pretty good price, so I'm happy. |

It's a piece of device to have backup power and to start shutting the computer down on black/brown outs.Surge protector for my network card as well, no complaints other than the size.
