Cons: I can not find any accept that the high end is a little bit lacking. But these are not expensive speakers, and they do everything very very well.

These are great. Excellent value for money if you get these on sale or not. Sound quality is very accurate. The highs are lacking a bit, but there is no distortion and the sound is very crisp and detailed. The base is also very loud, and controllable. The controls are accurate, and very fine. I also plugged it into my Iphone and listened to some music. Excellent performanceI have had no buzzing or humming like the other reviewers have stated below. If you are worried, just get the RMA for this, its only a couple of dollars, and if you get a bad set, send it back.I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone. |

Comes with several adapter cords for connections. Excellent quality, big sound in a small room and that is only at 50% levels. Can hardly wait to watch movies with the subwoofer for the FX. Would recommend these to anyone even if they weren't on sale! |

When I first plugged this in I got the crackling that a lot of people had mentioned. What stood out is when I plugged it into my phone it cleared up so it could just be bad sound cards, but the crackling is completely cleared up on my onboard sound card. |

Cons: Speakers emit a high pitched humming sound constantly, not as noticeable If you're playing something fairly loud over them but nonetheless is super annoying.
Pros: The low price ($39.99 on sale), but no matter how low the price if you can't use them it doesn't matter. Comment:
The high pitched humming sound coming from the speakers has made them unusable for me, after researching the problem online it seems to be something that often happens with this product.I have put them back in the box and stored them in a spare room. I'm not using a set of Altec Lansing speakers which have no noticeable humming noise. |

These things dont sound bad at all. They're actually pretty good speakers for the price. That being said, do not buy them, even on sale. They emit a high-pitched whine constantly even when they're not plugged in to any audio source. The only thing that gets rid of the high pitched whine is to turn them off. It may not bug you too much at first but over time it will give you a headache. Corsair support is horrible at dealing with it too. You're better off to just get another set of speakers from another manufacturer, even if it costs more. I would only get these if you are just going to use them to play high volume sound, from a distance. Otherwise the noise is a dealbreaker. I basically have to keep these turned off unless I'm in the mood to blast some tunes. |

Picked these up on sale for 39.99. Excellent speakers for 40 dollars, you cant get 45 watts RMS for any cheaper. The sound is great and as for the other reviews below, ignore the ones about whining/humming etc. That is probably a bad set of speakers. With that being said, Corsair is very accommodating when it comes to customer service. I have had them replace things for me in the past with little to no struggle and they pay for it. I would say for 40 dollars you wouldn't get speakers any better. I highly recommend these speakers for everyday computer or TV use in my case. |

Pros: The price is right. Comment:
Straight out of the box the speakers emitted a high pitched whine which renders them unusable. A quick google of the problem returned 3 pages of people reporting the same/similar problems with no recommended fix. The speakers themselves are nicely put together with easy access to volume controls for the sub on the right speaker. The problem lies with the speakers themselves as disconnecting them from the computer has no effect on the whine produced. A nice set of controls and easy set up doesn't make up for the technical problems. The shine is constant and loud enough that in order to drown out the whine you have to turn the speakers up to a volume that makes them uncomfortable to use. |

I really liked how small, and the sound these little speakers gave off. I'm really limited in space which is why I bought these. After 2 hours of use they started making this whistling noise when not in use. If i was watching a movie or listening to music then it was perfectly fine, only because the music blanked the whistling noise out. I would give these speakers 5 stars if Corsair fixed this problem that a lot of people seem to be having. This is tragic because Corsair is only of my favorite brands when it comes to pc supplies. I can't recommend these to anyone until they have figured out this issue. |

Got this babies on sale for 39.99 boxing week. I bought them to replace a pair of cheap logitech speakers that had a whine when using the headphone jack. Boy am i ever glad i got these. What a treat. Besides have a good sound, they are properly shielded. So you no longer have to hear that anyone sound when ever a phone call is about to arrive.As another wee bonus, the sound from the speakers actually gets piped out through the aux port allowing to you push it back in through the microphone jack on your computer. This allows a great analog way of recording any sounds you like !Great speakers! |

I like these when they work. The sound is really pretty good considering the price (I paid $40). I bought a pair of these from NCIX and not long after the issue began with the speakers. They developed a constant static-y hiss and because I was just out of the warranty period from NCIX I RMA'd them to Corsair. The brand new pair Corsair sent me as a replacement developed the same issue. For me it took about 30days to develop the issue for both sets. If these things would just work I would give them 5 stars... Clearly I feel justified in submitting a 1 star rating! |

Love these. I bought one for myself, liked it so much that I bought 2 more for other builds. I got them for 40$ when they were on sale for the 'boxing week' period. For what they are supposed to be, I think they're perfect. These are not speakers for hardcore audiophiles, and that much should be clear. They provide very good sound for the cost, and I think that the construction is solid. Corsair has been impressing me more and more with their products. |

Very pleased to get these speakers for such a good deal ($45 off). The speakers and the sub woofer are both reasonably small and yet still produce quite high quality sound with good volume. My only complaint is that the left speaker was noticeably louder than the right speaker, which was somewhat annoying. This is remedied fairly easily, fortunately, by changing the sound balancing options in Windows, which too very little time to figure out. As this was my only problem with the speakers, and because I got them at such a great price, I feel completely satisfied with my purchase. |
