It connects two items. It doesn't do a very great job at the only issue it's supposed to do. I was connecting this cable with a CORSAIR 8pin that came with my power provide (really good cable that latched on actually nicely to the mboard) and it was okay for a small when; then nowadays although playing Crysis all of a sudden power down. I recognized the way it was turning off and on that it was the 8pin not connected effectively. No matter how much I moved it around or created it a lot more secure it would not start with the NZXT cable inside. It did not start out until I removed the NZXT took out the ties and snaked the CORSAIR cable into the 8pin slot that it booted normally. This leads me to think the cable burned out. Don't waste your time NZXT appears to make their solutions out of clay or something (refer to Sentry reviews) |

I bought this to compensate for a rather short 8-pin connector that came with my PSU. Depending on what PSU you purchase, you may require one particular if you've got a case with a bottom-mounted PSU (especially for Complete-ATX towers). |

Performs as it should. My powersupply eight pin came up brief, so i purchased this one. Considering that all the cables are sleeved i can hardly see it in my Antec 1200. None actually. Power provide manufactures really should contain this in the box. It it should of been free of charge! |

Silent, 850W will manage your hardware, Modular -but not completely. Finger help clips at the end of all the energy connectors make it challenging to hide wires behind the situation, but it can be performed! :p Not recommended for bottom psu mounted instances, if you a wire management freak, i learned the difficult way :/ |

Inexpensive way to give your system's interior a far more 'custom' look, while permitting you to route the motherboard power cable behind the tray in instances exactly where the PSU is on the bottom, cleaning up airflow. Can't feel of any. It does exactly what it ought to and is priced proper. Looks seriously sharp when paired with the 24-pin ATX cable version. |

I bought this for my bottom mounted power provide and I'm a cable mgmt freak and I give this product an A+. How come no one else in the biz seems to fully grasp a bunch of multi colored wires are b_ugly. NZXT knows cables... cons, what cons I bought this for my NZXT phantom situation--a different great product |

It's a cable, and it has connectors on Both ENDS!I didn't spend ฟ for it from a certain neighborhood retailer. I didn't have a system of enough class to accommodate this cable.I found an additional functional, but drastically much less visually appealing extension cable in a dusty old box elsewhere in my abode within minutes of this arriving on my doorstep. I applied this cable instead. |

Don't Know Don't Know I study a assessment of my case and MB and a person mentioned you required an extender for the 8pin PS connection. They were incorrect as the case (HAS 932) included an extender which I didnt need to have anyway.
